The Art Of Living In The Moment MRR Ebook

Sample Content Preview Focus means directing your attention. Because where your attention goes, your time, resources and personal energy flows. And it all boils down to something that you have a tremendous amount of control over: your attention. This is why it's really important to rediscover the concept of "The Eternal Now." Believe it or not, you are always living in the present moment. When a second passes, the next second is the present moment. Once that's up, the next second is the present moment. Now, a lot of people think this is pointless. After all, that's how time is supposed to work. But they miss the big picture. They miss the fact that when you are in the moment, there are a lot of things that are actually possible within that frame of time. We're not just talking about time and space. We're talking about mental, spiritual and physical states. If you don't believe in the present moment and you think it's just a means to an end, it's easy to blow through your time. Seriously. It's easy to live through time in a way that you're not really paying attention to the things you should be focusing on. Sadly, most people have forgotten the present moment. They're all in a rush to be somewhere. They're all in a rush to become somebody else. They start looking at themselves primarily as transitory beings. In other words, who you are right here, right now, is something that you're not really all that happy with. Instead, you want to be somebody who is 50 pounds lighter, 10 years younger, $10 million richer, and so on and so forth. Your focus is burned up by the overarching need to go somewhere and become somebody else. The concept of the present moment completely escapes you except for certain schedules or dates or appointments. But other than that, it's just some sort of temporal stepping stone to who "you are supposed to be." This is why so many people seem so busy, preoccupied and obsessed with motion. They can't wait to get from Point A to Point B. The problem is, desiring motion and that alternative identity of who we could be exacts a heavy price. They leave us empty. The Eternal Now, which is one of the greatest gifts anybody can give us, is worthless to us. We look at it as basically a byproduct of living and not really a goal in and of itself. This is really too bad. How come? The Eternal Now is the foundation of your future. It is the birthplace of who you can be and what you can become. In other words, it is the foundation of possibility and being. Meditation Reveals the Power of the Eternal Now When you practice meditation and mindfulness, you tap into the power of The Eternal Now. First of all, you become aware that you are living in a present moment. Once you are able to do that, you then slowly but surely come face to face with the power of your mind to shape your reality. Instead of constantly trying to zip from one mental place to another, you realize that there's power where you are. You realize that you have all that it takes to get out from under whatever it is that's frustrating you. It doesn't matter how stuck you may feel, if you are able to tap into the power of The Eternal Now, you can use the present moment to achieve important changes in your life. Best of all, you're able to this right here, right now. You break away from the old and familiar game of kicking the can of your happiness down the road. You can choose to be happy, fulfilled and content right here, right now. All it takes is to train the way your mind is already configured to rediscover and celebrate The Eternal Now. Remember That the Big Picture is the Eternal Before I jump into the blueprint you can follow to tap the power of your mind for greater personal productivity, results, success and happiness, I need to establish one key principle. It's easy to look at mindfulness and meditation as simply tools that you use on your journey to get what you want. Fair enough. But it's very important to understand what it is you want in the first place. Let's put it this way, even if you were equipped with the most powerful equipment in the world, if you don't know where you're going, your trip would be pointless. Chances are, you would be chasing your tail and be going around in circles. The world existed before you, it exists now while you're in it, and will continue to exist long after you're gone. You have to be at peace with this eternal truth. To fully wrap your minds around this, I need you to understand certain truths about how human beings have historically looked at the world and their place in it. With this understanding, your mind should be big enough to see your real place.

Doing that, though, eliminates one of the best advantages of the mini-DV tape format: archiving your footage. One man's trash is another man's treasure, and if you can't use that nice exterior footage you filmed for this project, you can certainly use it for a future audio-visual project without spending extra time on filming things twice. You also have a permanent backup of any critical footage (an interview with a difficult-to-contact but well-known actor who uses your product, maybe), in case the worst happens, you lose your edited movie files, and you have to start over from scratch. Over time, you'll likely find that the added peace of mind and convenience of having your footage backed up far outweighs the hassle and cost of buying tapes. A direct USB connection is the other viable option. You lose the ability to store all of your footage, since you'd have to store it on a computer rather than on tapes, and your footage will quickly eat up too much of your hard drive space if you're filming at high quality. But you do save on the cost of tapes, and you do have the ability to quickly grab the day's footage from your camera and shoot it directly into your editing software without any hassle. Mini-DV tapes sometimes require complicated interfaces in order to get your footage into your computer, and transferring your footage from peripheral to peripheral can lead in a worst-case scenario to losing significant amounts of quality. If you don't want to mess around with this problem and you don't think you'll need to retain much of the footage you've been shooting for future projects, just make sure your camcorder has a USB connection (honestly, you'd have to work pretty hard to find a new camcorder that doesn't.) The only other thing to remember when choosing a camcorder is, of course, to test it out before you buy it. Make sure you like the control options--zooms, resolutions, effects. Make sure you like how the camera captures and displays light: if everything looks overexposed and difficult to make out just in your test footage, you're not going to want to wrestle with the thing for your entire project. And again: make sure that the camera's resolution and file format works with your editing software, and that it's reasonable as far as how much memory it takes up. There's no point in getting perfect footage if doing so will inevitably crash your editing software. The Face Of Your Product No one expects you to hire John Gielgud to be in your software commercial. That said, though, you don't want to go as cheaply as possible where actors are concerned. It just takes one halting delivery, problematic accent, or other flaw to turn your site into the laughing stock of the Internet. Either use people in-house who you can rely on to represent your product, or consider investing a little bit of time in finding an actor or actress. This isn't as expensive as it sounds, especially if you're near a major city. Any college town or large urban center will have a population of actors, many with impressive technical training, but few actual production credits as yet. If you find a sufficiently young and resume-poor actor or actress through online creative services sites (Craigslist being a classic option) or through other channels, you can often convince them to do a day or two of shooting with you for nothing but the experience of being on camera and a good letter of recommendation to future potential employers. There's plenty of talent out there waiting to be discovered, and there's no reason to let it lie fallow when you could put it to work for you or your project for almost nothing. If you live in a rural area or just don't have a good local talent pool, you'll have to use someone in house. There are endless books written about the difficulty of casting, but as a general rule, pick someone with a pleasant, friendly face and pick someone who's easy to understand. It'll make your content seem more professional and it'll provide a more positive emotional branding for your product. And if you simply don't have other options, don't overlook the power of testimonials. Get some friends of yours who've used your product and who like it to let you record them talking about how much they enjoy the product. In this case, their lack of technical acting training is an asset: it'll give your production an air of authenticity and make the testimonials that much more convincing. Plus working with friends is an all-time good deal, since they'll most likely be excited enough by the prospect of appearing in your "commercials" that they'll work for friendship, or for free. Lighting Professional lighting probably isn't in your budget, but it's not usually a good idea to rely on natural lighting alone. Natural lighting on video tends to make an image look flatter than it would otherwise be, washes out colors, and just makes your image look drab and home-made. It doesn't really separate your content out from anyone else's. You can get a professional lighting effect without paying professional fees, though. If you're shooting indoors, all you'll need is two light sources--three, if you happen to have a spare lamp lying around. One light is your primary lighting source, responsible for creating strong areas of light and strong shadows. Another light, placed directly opposite the first but further away, is responsible for filling in and softening some of the shadows created by the first light, but still preserving the greater contrast and definition. The third light, if you've got one, is small and placed behind the image you're shooting in order to provide a little bit of separation from your background. That's really all it takes: three light bulbs and some creative ideas for placement. Jack Black (of all people) provides a good tutorial for creating this lighting setup at acceptable.tv (full URL: https://acceptable.tv/tutorial/18 ) The presentation is a little bit absurd and the tutorial is more geared for creative/dramatic work than for commercial purposes, but the information about how to design a lighting setup and place individual lights is simple, solid, and usable. (The integration of the video player into the design of the site itself is also something you'll want to pay attention to, since the custom coding and visual distinctiveness of the video player is what gives the acceptable.tv site a great deal of its charm.) Notes On Chroma-Keying Depending on what your basic concept is, you may need to plan your video recording sessions to take into account the process of chroma-keying. Chroma-keying can be an incredibly powerful, cost-effective, and exciting tool to make your video projects more dynamic and visually interesting. But it also gives you a host of new challenges to deal with in your shooting and can lead to some serious technical problems along the way if you're not careful.

There is one other thing that all successful viral videos have in common, and that is that they grab the viewer's attention within the first few ten seconds. A common saying regarding movies, "If nothing interesting happens in the first five minutes, nothing interesting will happen in the rest of the movie, either". Well, if your video's only two minutes long, then you've really only got about ten seconds to convince the viewer to keep watching. Think of the whole internet video thing as MTV after a few energy drinks, the audience wants something short, fast and immediately gripping. There are millions and millions of videos out there, and the fact is that most people will just click on something else if they don't think the one they're watching will be worth the time. There are a lot of ways of hooking the viewer right away, and it really does depend on what kind of video you're making, but essentially you just don't want to take the viewer's attention span for granted. In short, viral videos are the pop song of the iPod generation: Start with a something catchy and don't overstay your welcome. THE FIRST TEN SECONDS If you're doing comedy, make sure there's a laugh in those first ten seconds and then keep them laughing for the next two minutes. If you're doing an advertisement, the viewer should know what you're selling right off the bat; show the product or service right up front and spend the rest of the video explaining what makes that product or service so great. Not to say that there's no room for subtlety, but subtlety is a tricky thing to pull off in those first ten seconds. Start with a bang and spend the rest of the video getting a little more in-depth. An excellent example would be The Angry Video Game Nerd, James Rolf. He makes a good living reviewing bad video games on Youtube, regularly getting over a million views per video. His videos are insightful, humorous and nostalgic, really getting into the whole philosophy of game design and why the one he's reviewing stinks, but before he gets into all that, he spends the first thirty odd seconds of the video using very imaginative curse words to describe the game in brief. Crude, sure, but it's turned out to be an incredibly catchy hook for his viewers. We're not saying you need to start swearing like a sailor in all your vids, but within the first ten seconds, you should let the viewer know what you're all about, and then spend the rest of the video getting a little more in-depth about it. TRIAL RUN Now, before putting your video online, show it to some friends. Make a note of how they react. Tell them to be brutally honest with you and ask... was it funny? Did it make sense? Were there any boring parts? The main thing is cutting out the parts that are boring or confusing. When you're just starting out, that may leave you with a pretty skimpy video, less than a minute in length, but you know what? That's a good thing. The shorter the better. If it's possible to get all the information across in five seconds, then go ahead and make a five second video. People tend to share the shorter videos via social networking sites and iPod texting more often than they do the longer videos, so you really do have a better shot at going viral if you cut out everything that's not needed. So, in short, just trim it down to the best parts and leave everything else on the cutting room floor. - 13 - 3TARGETING YOUR TARGET AUDIENCE We said before that, no matter what you're into, there's always going to be somebody else who's into it, too. Well, if you really want to capitalize on that, then you need to get to know your audience. This doesn't mean selling out and just making whatever you think other people will like. Don't worry, you'll have plenty of time to sell out later when you're rich and famous. What this means is just bringing a sense of focus and purpose to your videos. Remember, the golden rule of making anything, be it a video or a sandwich, is to make what you like. That said, keep up with the communities that revolve around what you like. Say you're doing a video blog about movie news. Obviously, you don't want to be reporting as fact something that was debunked as a rumor several weeks ago, nor do you want to be reporting "Breaking news!" a month after it was already reported by everyone else. So basically all we're saying here is; know your stuff and stay up to date. The same goes with using viral videos for marketing. Looking at it from a business perspective, when high speed internet became more accessible to the common user, a lot of dial-up moguls went out of business because they didn't expect high speed to be as big as it wound up being, so they stuck to good old 56k and wound up losing a lot of customers that way. The same can happen to any business owner or marketer who doesn't keep up with their industry. STAY INVOLVED Join some online forums relevant to your subject. Besides being a great way to keep up on what's new, you've also got a guaranteed audience right there. Even if you're already making some news sites a regular part of your day, it's tough to keep up on all of it all by yourself, so reading the message boards can help fill you in on what you missed. This would tend to apply to a lesser degree if you're doing videos just for entertainment, but, again, this is where your test audience comes in. If a joke is funny, you'll laugh whether you're a coin collector a video gamer or a movie fan, so there's no real news to keep up with if you're just trying to make people laugh, but showing it to your friends to get some test audience reactions can be immensely helpful. Once more, this comes down to the golden rule of making videos: If your friends like it, someone else will, too. STAY TRUE TO YOUR STYLE It's not about changing the content of your videos to please the masses. It's just about getting focused and serious on what your videos are all about in the first place. Don't think that, because movie review videos are big, you need to make movie review videos, or that you need to make any major changes at all, really. So if you want to target your target audience, the main thing is to just remember who your target audience is: Yourself. This is true whether you're trying to entertain or market. What makes you laugh? What would get your attention and make you want to support the company? Start from there and then see how others react to the results. If you don't like it, chances are, nobody else will, either. - 15 - 4FROM LIVEJOURNAL TO TWITTER: USING SOCIAL NETWORKING SITES TO GET YOUR VIDEO OUT THERE Social networking is really the key ingredient to getting a regular audience for your videos. The whole phenomena of these sites has been around since before Livejournal, and has since gone through a gradual evolution... We'll start with MySpace. A BRIEF HISTORY OF MYSPACE Yeah, MySpace pages are kind of annoying. They autoplay a really bad song for you as soon as you load the page up, they're loaded with flashy graphics and they're mostly just a bunchy of photos people took of themselves at a party. But! It's still worth looking into, because that's actually not what the site was designed for. The site was actually created for the purpose of letting musicians promote themselves, with or without a talent agent. On that level, it's been an incredible success. Many musicians who might never have had a shot at getting signed before MySpace have gone on to have incredibly lucrative careers by selling their own CDs over the site, and in fact, most of today's record producers are constantly sifting through MySpace with a fine tooth comb to find the next big thing.

Many of today's Internet consumers are used to the ease and convenience of paying with credit cards online. For these 'net-savvy buyers, the inability to pay with a credit card is a deal-breaker. They don't want to bother writing out a check or a money order and mailing it to destinations unknown, then waiting six to eight weeks for their services to be rendered. Instant is in, and the more purchase options you can offer, the more buyers you will get. So being able to accept credit cards is ABSOLUTELY mandatory. However, there are other ways of accepting payment you don’t want to overlook. I’ll get into those options later. When e-commerce first took off, there were several security concerns among consumers and businesses alike. Scams and cyber-crime made buyers wary of entrusting their credit cards and bank account numbers to websites. Now, more people are buying online than ever before, and improved security and encryption processes are keeping financial information safe. Today credit card purchases online are literally more secure than off line where a card can be swiped by hand in the case of a crooked employee or literally stolen out of thin air through major stores with payment terminals set up on wireless networks. If your website does not at least accept credit cards, you could be missing out on a huge amount of business. What are you waiting for? Now let’s take a look at who’s making money and why. Having Doubts About Your Marketability? Are their times you have some apprehension about your marketability? Do you wonder if you have what it takes to do freelance work? Do you wonder if you have what it takes to project the image of a professional business person in the online world? The best part of freelancing is that there is a niche for almost every skill. If you are good the demands upon your skills will be greater than the supply you can produce. Through the use of this book, you can identify your skills and make the most of them for the greatest profit. Why is freelancing so lucrative but can be so much more so if you are perceived as a real professional? Companies are outsourcing more and more work every year. Other individual business people like yourself in different markets but that may require your services are growing almost exponentially in the last 5 years primarily due to the Internet. It is much more cost effective for a company to outsource work to a free agent than to pay and maintain one full time employee. A company can find the right professional for a particular project rather than relying on a few employees who may not have the expertise needed to complete the project. The people who are making money are those who market themselves and develop working relationships with companies and long term clients. Who are these freelancers? How do they become rich? How do they find their clients? In future chapters you will discover how to make contacts and find freelance jobs. The immediate answer is technology. The days of typewriters are all but gone. The days of waiting for a response from a client by postal service are gone. We live in a world of modern technology. Documents can be written, saved, and transmitted over thousands of miles in just a few short seconds. Words can reach thousands of people instantly. And I’m not just talking about email. In fact, you can chat online with clients on a real time basis or literally set up real time video conferences. Information is easy to find, store, and send. That is why you can live anywhere you like as a freelancer. You are not confined to any one geographical address as long as some type of internet access is available. (Preferably high speed.) Another advantage of modern technology is the ability for freelancers and their clients to find one another. There are many websites where a client can post a job and a freelancer can instantly respond to it. Again, geographical distance is not an issue. A client can be in Japan and the freelancer can be in sunny Florida and they can have a successful contract agreement. The answer to global connections and opportunities is technology. This allows a freelancer to work for clients around the world. This opens a multitude of opportunities to find freelance work. But this technologically advanced time we live in can be a double edged sword. At the same time technology is allowing customers to find us and hire us, customers look for the freelance contractors to be technologically advanced enough to not only provide top quality service but they want to deal with contractors that are willing and able to work outside the confines of a job board like Elance or Freelancer and accept payment any way the buyer wants to pay.

Tinnitus MRR Ebook

Sample Content Preview Researchers cannot find the exact reason why Tinnitus occurs. However, numerous health condition can worsen the ear problem. From what researchers have gathered, inner ear cell damage is the common cause of tinnitus. The delicate, small hairs located in your inner ear sway according to the pressure of the sound waves you hear. Your ear cells are triggered to release the transmitted electrical signal to your auditory nerve and then to your brain. Your brain is responsible for interpreting the electrical signal as sounds. Any time the delicate, small hairs in your inner ear become broken or bent, they do not work properly. Instead, they create electrical impulses that are randomly sent to your brain. Your brain is responsible for interpreting these sounds. This is how you hear ringing or buzzing in your ears when no one is ringing a bell. The most common causes include: 1. Being in an environment with extremely loud noise. A concert, listening to music too loud and heavy equipment can cause tinnitus when you are exposed to loud noise. 2. Hearing loss that occurs because of age. Loss of hearing typically starts when you are 60 years old. 3. Changes in your ear bone. Your ear bone in your middle ear can stiffen and changes the way you hear. 4. Earwax blockage. Earwax blockage occurs because of wax buildup in the ear. The next leading cause of tinnitus is medications. Certain medications can either cause the condition or make it worse. What happens is the higher the dosage of medication, the worse the ringing in the ears become. The phantom noise tends to disappear when you stop taking the medication. Some medications are known to cause tinnitus or make it worse. For instance, some antibiotics and antidepressants may cause or worsen tinnitus. Taken in high doses, aspirin cause tinnitus or make tinnitus worse. Quinine medications and water pills, called diuretics, often cause tinnitus. Certain cancer medications like vincristine and mechlorethamine cause ringing in your ears. Some medical conditions may cause this condition, but it does not occur very often. For example, head or neck injuries can cause damage to your brain and hearing nerves. The damage usually causes tinnitus in only one ear. Acoustic neuroma, a noncancerous tumor in your cranial nerve, can cause ringing in one ear. Blood vessel disorders are also the cause of tinnitus. However, this link between blood vessel disorders and this condition is rare. Some vessels disorders that cause ringing in your ears include atherosclerosis, high blood pressure and turbulent blood flow. 3. The Risk Factors Associated with Tinnitus Any person can develop tinnitus in one or both ears. However, certain factors can increase your risk of developing the condition. For instance, exposure to loud noise can increase your chances of developing tinnitus. Cardiovascular problems, such as high blood pressure or atherosclerosis, can increase your risk of developing this condition. Smoking and age can both increase the risk of developing tinnitus. Men typically develop tinnitus at a higher rate than women. 4. Possible Complications Every medical condition has complications. Tinnitus is no different. These complications can be serious because the affect individuals differently. In fact, it may change your quality of life. Some complications that can occur if you have tinnitus include, but are not limited to memory problems, stress, fatigue, problems sleeping and fatigue. You may feel irritable for no reason. Treating the underlying condition that caused tinnitus can relieve the symptoms that develop because of the complications. 5. How Tinnitus is Diagnosed If you believe you have Tinnitus, do not self-diagnose. Instead, schedule an appointment with a physician. Your physician will determine if you have the condition and the underlying cause of the tinnitus. During your physical examination, your physician will look at your neck, ears and neck for possible signs of the condition. You may undergo an imaging test such as a CT scan. The physical examination may include a movement test to determine if an underlying cause of the ringing in your ears is due to a disorder that needs treatment. You will move your neck, arms and legs. You will clench and unclench your jaw. You will also look in various directions without turning your head so your physician will determine if you have an eye problem. An audiological examination, or hearing test, may also be ordered. The type of sound you hear will help your physician identify the possible cause of the sound in your ears. For example, a clicking sound means that your muscles around and in your ears are making that noise. A low-pitched ringing in your ears in one ear may indicate Meniere’s disease. The disease may be the underlying cause of the ringing in your ears if it is accompanied by a moving or spinning sensation. The source of high-pitched ringing in the ears is exposure to loud noise. You may have suffered a blow to the ear. The physician may determine it is acoustic neuroma. 6. What You Should Know About Treatment If you are diagnosed with tinnitus, your physician will find the underlying condition. With a Special Offer, immediate sales is one pay-off – but that shouldn’t be anywhere near the forefront of your mind. You’ll use this Special Offer to test and tweak your product if necessary, based on the feedback you get. (And don’t forget to ask for feedback!) Far more vital to your traffic generation – testimonials to include in your “big” launch; and subscribers who have been pre-qualified by their eagerness for your freebie, with the sign-up option. Your Special Offer can be free for your list – but many people swear by charging a minimum fee for it - $1.00 or $2.00. (It’s a psychological truth that people attach more value to something they have paid for.) One other little-mentioned advantage of starting with a highly targeted, limited-time Special Offer lies in the fact that you will now have a list (even if it’s not the largest one on the planet. Without a list, you are far less likely to attract quality affiliates. With a Freebie, you need to actively promote it on more than just your favorite forum (the one that housed your exclusive Special Offer.) Social networking – across as many platforms as you frequent – is a must for creating that most powerful asset of all – word of mouth buzz. “When in Doubt – Ask…” But that’s not even the beginning. You need to ask your market what it needs, before you ever touch the keyboard to start your product creation. Don’t make the fatal mistake of thinking that, because you think an idea is awesome, your fellow forum or niche members will, too. Yes. They may very well agree that it’s the next best thing to sliced bread… …But will they pay for it? (Even with a Freebie, it has to logically lead to your next product or upsell – which they will have to shell out for.) Don’t forget to use Surveys and Polls to capture reader attention and invite that valuable feedback. (Survey Monkey is a very easy-to-use free survey building site – and there’s a great Pro option too.) Post about your survey on your niche’s best forums (but only if you’re already a member there!) Blog about it, ask your fellow forum members to pass it on. Tweet it. Ask others to re-tweet it. Talk about it on Facebook. Be active in making sure you ask others to promote it. Ezine Ads If you’re presenting an offer and want to make sales straight away, eZine ads are usually way less expensive than other forms of paid advertising – with no surprises (unlike PPC campaigns, which can run you up huge deficits, if you get your keyword wrong.) If you’re on a tight budget, PPC campaigns such as Google AdWords would be better left till you’re finally turning some significant profit. Most important, have signup links for affiliates, and an email campaign set up for your autoresponders, so that you can get your list to become customers and promote you with their own lists. It’s been a long accepted fact that using a fleet of affiliates (including JV partners) is the most powerful source of traffic generation. PPC Ads Pay Per Click ads are good for driving traffic to your campaigns, but you need to set daily limits, make sure you’ve chosen the right keyword (one with competition – but not too much) and watch it like a hawk, to ensure you’re not getting thousands of clicks with no conversions (if that happens, you’ve got a bad keyword! Change it, fast – before you go broke!) Stick to your PPC budget : After all, what use is your ad, if your PPC costs dwarf your profits? You don’t need to worry about Search Engine Optimization with PPC – but you do need to focus on capturing your readers and getting them to click. Hit the high spots. Use your best lure. One PPC crucial point that is rarely talked about … Make sure you use keywords from your actual PPC ad in your Squeeze page or Sales page. Google does use algorithms to make sure the site content matches the ad – they want to quickly weed out spurious PPC ads who talk about Healthy and Active Life Styles – and then send you to a sales pitch for Viagra. Also, Google doesn’t like PPC ads that link to a single landing page or sales page. Its Search Bots (and the occasional human editor) are looking for legitimate, established websites – which they translate as packed with articles and pages. (You can still do this and not have an actual link on your landing page! Just as long as the site has those articles or pages full of relevant content physically contained in it, Google’s ability to find an actual navigation link to that content on your landing page will not hurt you.) This seems like a lot of work, and blows sky-high the idea that you can slap up a minisite with 3 pages and make money. If you’re using PPC ads, you can’t. What happens if you do? You are risking a sudden huge, inexplicable increase in your click-through rate for that ad – what people call the “Google slap”. (They’re penalizing you for having what their Search Bots interpret as a dubious site.)

Whether you are giving away a free trial to a membership site on a monthly subscription or a set of products that are sent out monthly on a subscription service, you have to let the customer know that they are being signed up for a free trial with the payment of the shipping and handling fee for the free offer. That subscription will automatically be charged to their credit card if they don't cancel the services or do some action within a specific period of time, usually a period of 21 to 30 days. This gets them enrolled in your subscription service right off the bat without having to ask for a credit card again later. And, the nice part about it is that it creates a large amount of recurring monthly income for you. So, what's so great about recurring monthly income? Well, for one thing, most people are generally lazy and won't bother to cancel a subscription until long after they've stopped using it. The lower the subscription cost, the more they will not want to bother removing it. That's great news for you because a monthly fee is a great way to build up residual income. It may not be a whole lot per person, but once you have hundreds of people signed up for that monthly subscription, even if it's only at $20 each, you can have upwards of $2000 or more coming in for doing practically nothing. You just make sure the products and services you offered for that subscription fee are available. Now, there will be some people motivated enough to drop out of your program, even if it's for a low monthly fee. So, you will have to constantly increase your member count or have offers to sign up others to keep your recurring monthly income high. The good news is that people will drop out slowly. The first month, most people will have forgotten they signed up for your subscription. If they check their credit card statements, they might find it, and after the second month, consider dropping out. Either way, you will see people dropping out of the program slowly, not at a big drop initially. This means that if you sell 500 subscriptions at $20 a month each, you can pretty much be assured of about $10,000 your first month, or thereabouts! The Paired Back-End Offers Each front-end offer is paired to a back-end offer that is another opportunity to up-sell or cross-sell your membership. Even after people have enrolled, you can continue to use that membership enrollment to market other products and services that are not included in the base membership price. This can be done in a variety of ways using the different formats that you will use, like newsletters, product shipments, and so on. Take, for instance, that maybe your back-end offer is a monthly subscription to a newsletter. Within the pages of that newsletter, you can advertise all the different products and services that don't come as part of the membership to your club. You can offer discounts for members that will give them an incentive to buy as well. Newsletters are an excellent medium for delivering news on new products, events, and press releases. Don't forget to include great information along with the marketing material; otherwise, your customers will view it as a marketing flyer. You want to keep the flavor of the newsletter as something valuable that they will want to read, not as an annoying thing they put up with to get the front-end offer. Make both the back-end and front-end offers high in quality and in value to your customers. Another way you can use the back-end offers to complement your front-end offers for more promotional opportunities are through customizing the back-end offer to give out free samples of new products and services on a regular basis to tempt customers to buy more. For instance, say you set up a back-end enrollment to a beauty club where members are promised a shipment of a particular product once a month at a very low price. Include in the shipment samples of other products you are about to launch and give a pre-launch discount for a bulk order. Samples in beauty are some of the most effective methods to get people to buy more and that's why you see organizations like Avon and Mary Kaye giving them away. Think how much happier your members are going to be knowing that they got a bunch of freebies on the front-end and appear to be getting freebies on the back end too? They'll be deliriously satisfied! They will probably even refer their friends if you ask them to. Meanwhile, those freebies aren't that free as you are setting the stage for the sales of your next products. SETTING UP The nice thing about front-end marketing is that you can structure it around multiple types of products. It doesn't have to all be about ebooks. It can be a CD or DVD club, manuals, newsletters, and even coaching. Many of these products and services make ideal items to put in your front-end offer. If you are more in tune with setting up short videos, you can do that too and make that the hallmark type of product you offer in your front-end. All of the different types of products will appeal to different demographics. It's not just the content that determines the audience that is attracted, but also the format. People who gravitate to YouTube, for instance, will be more visually oriented. They want products that talk to them in video format. So, you can advertise an ebook, but you might have better luck with DVDs or coaching videos on YouTube. There are going to be different people interested in your offers depending on what format you choose. So, why not choose to make several different front-end offers with a similar topic and get more bang for your buck? Or you can add different formats within one package to try to appeal to a wider audience. For now, let's go over each of the different product forms in our case studies and you can decide what might work best for the audience you are trying to reach. CDs These are very easy to record at home using a personal computer and they can hold ebooks and audio files. You don't need too much specialized equipment to do it either. You can even put PLR software on it in executable format on CDs and ship that as your front-end offer. DVDs These need a bit more equipment, like a camera (although you can use your web cam to record videos). You will have to know the various formats available for DVD like AVI. Different formats will have different equipment necessary to get good video quality. However, a video is an impressive way to reach your customers and many people enjoy tossing one into their DVD players and watching them.

Optimists associate with other optimists. The people you associate with impact your life in many ways. It has been said that we are the sum of the five people whom we associate with the most. Optimists choose their friends wisely. Pessimists will, unfortunately, drag you down with their negative thinking. It’s almost inevitable. Some people can complain about anything – the world in general, the job, a meal at a restaurant, a movie … the list doesn’t end. This attitude invariable rubs off on others and is best avoided if you are an optimist. And if success is your goal, know that the number one trait of successful people is positive thinking. A positive outlook is the sure way to get through hard times. While you can’t avoid everyone, it’s best to surround yourself with as much optimism as possible. Look for people who share your mindset. 3. Optimism can uncover and reveal opportunities. Both optimists and pessimists see problems for the logical reason that life is filled with them. The difference is, a pessimist uses the problems as an excuse to do nothing, while the optimist sees them as an opportunity. Let’s say John and Jane want to start their own business, while will take $10,000 capital. John thinks, “I don’t have that kind of money. What’s the use?” Jane thinks, “Okay, what should I do to get an extra $10,000?” Jane, the optimist, sees an opportunity for some creative problem-solving. She sees possibilities where John sees roadblocks. It’s not difficult to guess which of the two will be more successful. 4. Optimist calls for self-confidence, something we will explore in greater detail in a different chapter. Optimists are confident enough not to be guided by the opinions of others. It’s clear to them that they will never please everyone, so they don’t bother trying. They rely on their own judgment. If they make mistakes, they take full ownership and responsibility of correcting them. 5. To take the foregoing point a step further, optimist don’t indulge in blaming others when things go wrong. They leave the complaining to pessimists. Optimists are mainly concerned with understanding what happened and how to improve it next time. To iterate an important point, optimism seeks solutions, not excuses. 6. Gratitude is an important component of optimism. This grateful attitude allows optimist to see the good things in life and hope for even better. A pessimist will complain about his or job while the optimist will be grateful to be working. It’s the optimist’s attitude that will make it easier for him or her to seek something better. 7. Optimism is never ruled by anger. Life can be very unfair, and pessimists will make a point to list each and every instance. Your family may be not as rich as your neighbor, others may be more successful, and your sibling may be more beautiful and drive a better car. There are a lot of things to be envious and angry about. But what does it solve? Anger fuels non-action and complacency like few other emotions. Optimists move beyond and attempt to create change instead of indulging in complaining and anger. Optimism, as already stated, is fueled by what we do have, not what we lack. The optimist sees clean water, safe housing, a beautiful garden, food, and innovation as something to be grateful for. We have more than any other generation in history, yet pessimists still find reasons to complain. Some hold on to their anger as if it were a lifeline. Optimists understand that anger acts like a chain, making it impossible to move forward. Positive thinking is a choice; so is holding on to negativity. 8. You may think that optimists expect life to be easy. It would make sense, but the exact opposite is true. An optimist knows how difficult and unfair life can be. As a result, he or she is mentally prepared. They develop the resilience that lets them cope with adversity instead of wallowing in it. They know they won’t get every job, every romantic partner, every wish fulfilled, so adversity doesn’t stop them from moving ahead and trying again. An optimist plays the odds; he or she knows eventually, success will happen. It is that willingness never to give up that separates the optimist from the rest. It’s the very essence of optimism. Psychologists agree that it is virtually impossible to be successful without optimism. One of the reasons is that optimist will work harder (for years, if necessary) to achieve their dream. Only someone who is certain of a positive outcome would be willing to put in such an effort. Regardless of how many roadblocks he or she encounters, he or she never loses sight of what may be possible at the end of the road. Optimists see the rainbow at the end, not the rain along the way. It’s impossible to be optimistic without positive thinking, but there is a small, yet important, difference. The positive thinker says, “I think I can.” The optimist says, “I will.” They are both driven, but the optimist’s engine is slightly more enhanced. That is the reason the optimist is willing to put in years of effort without giving up. He or she is usually guided by a deep hunger, or passion, for success, whether personal or professional. They know exactly what they want out of life. Not striving toward a goal is simply not an option for the optimist. In a delightful movie, “Mrs. ‘Arris Goes to Paris,” Mrs. Harris is a middle-aged domestic working for a very wealthy lady. The lady owns several magnificent Dior dresses, which Mrs. Harris greatly admires. But she doesn’t stop at mere admiration. Mrs. Harris becomes determined to own her Dior creation before she dies. She spends years saving pennies from her servant’s wages. All of her friends tell her she is crazy. What does a maid want with a Dior dress? But, Mrs. Harris has her dream. When she finally saves up enough money, she travels to Paris, where she encounters a few adventures. And she finally gets to visit Dior and order her dress. With her life’s dream in tow, she travels back to London and her job as a maid. Will she ever get to wear her dream dress? No one knows. That’s not the point. Mrs. Harris wanted to own a Dior, and she finally realized her dream, after years of hard work. Mrs. Harris is proof you can’t keep an optimist down.

This is usually provided in-house through portals like WordPress, or through Google analytics for general internet sites. If you don’t already have it, head to Google analytics to complete an easy sign-up process. Once you've signed up for the service, you should begin receiving analytical data on the dashboard within a week. The analytics that you receive will allow you to identify the favorite pieces among your hosted content quickly and to determine whether or not a new video or article received public approval, which is determined by the amount of time spent, on average, on that particular piece of content by your audience. If they sat through an appropriate amount of time to view the content in its entirety, then you can rest easy because you've done your job. However, if they move on after just 30 seconds, you may need to revisit your judgment regarding the topic or style of the content. Keeping an eye on the analytics of your website, and tweaking your content accordingly will allow you to understand the tastes of your regular audience members better. This will help you to cater to your visitors appropriately so that you can work to nurture your growing visitor base. Happy visitors will always refer your site to those around them, which will result in an increase in web traffic to your website through word-of-mouth. One way to encourage this behavior is to continually maintain a high level of credibility among your existing visitor base. Search Engine Optimization Once you’ve determined the style of content that you are going to create and as you focus on the quality and frequency of the content itself, you need to start thinking about search engine optimization, or SEO. Creating content that is SEO friendly is the easiest way for you to push more traffic to your site. The first step to making sure your site is SEO optimized is by making sure that you submit your website links to the various search engine platforms. While not every URL that is provided to the search engines will make it onto their search indexes, a majority of them do so without a hitch. When you complete this step, it allows Google's crawlers to index your site and display it within their search results. This can also be done for the other search engines like Bing and Yahoo. Once you’ve submitted your website to the search engines for indexing, you’ll need to begin performing SEO on all of your current site content, as well as keep its basics in mind for the content you create in the future. In a nutshell, SEO is about allowing the search engine crawlers, which trawl through all of the websites on the Internet, to categorize and classify your site in order of its relevance to specific keywords. The higher the significance of a particular site in response to one particular keyword, the better the chances it has of appearing higher up on the search lists. This is extremely important because your efforts to drive traffic to your site isn’t geared toward those people who already know about your site, but instead toward people who aren't aware of your business or your site and are only looking for options based on the keywords they enter into the search query. Search Engine Optimization is a highly competitive field. It is a combination of art and science, linguistics and anthropology. It's the ability to understand the mind of your customers and determining a list of possible keywords that they might use to get to the topical content that you provide. Take a look at the content that you have already created and make a list of all the possible keywords that you would use to find an article like this. Each of the key phrases that you consider should be between two and four words long. These are known as long-tail keyword phrases. One way that you might want to consider to compile your list of keywords faster is to use one key phrase and enter it into the Google search bar. When the results appear, scroll down to the bottom of the page. Here you will find around eight to ten related searches and key phrases. This list might help you find a few more key phrases that you believe are strongly related to your content. Repeat this exercise several times with different key phrases so that you can acquire a slightly wider range of keywords that are relevant to your content. When you've identified your keywords, make sure that the keywords that you've determined are present in all of your content. For each article that you write, define a distinct key phrase that should be present in the title and subtitle of the piece. It is essential though that none of the keywords that you use individually account for more than 1.5% of the total word count for the article. When you include excessive keywords into your content, it automatically leads to the search engines lowering your rank in the index. When creating your content, you want to add at least three to four keywords in the title tag of your article and the important keyword phrase in the metadata and description of your content for as long as it's published.

Table of Contents 1. CPA Beginnings 2. Offers 3. Generating Cash 4. Networks 5. Systematizing Sample Content Preview The Single Most Important Question Expect to be questioned on how you intend to promote or drive traffic to the affiliate offers, if you are signing up to be a publisher. This is the single most important question and your answer will greatly impact whether your application is accepted or not. If you don't have a clear idea, it will only prove to the affiliate manager that you are not a valuable affiliate partner to include in their network. Make sure you have a good answer for this question. Many people have made an immediate favorable impression by suggesting they are doing PPC to CPA offers. There are some more stringent rules for people who are using Google Adwords campaigns to publish affiliate advertising links, but it's still doable. There are two URLs you can add in an Adwords campaign; one is a destination URL and the other is the display URL. The display URL now has to match the destination of the site. In other words, you can't mask the offer showing one URL to the customer that takes them to a different destination than what they were expecting. Along with that, there are restrictions on the landing page destination URL; it must have the same domain name as the display URL. This can be tough to do if your affiliate CPA offer doesn't want you to allow the publication of their top level domain in the offer. Many of the advertisers are aware now that they do have to create landing pages on their sites to overcome this new policy, and this will probably come back to benefit both publishers and advertisers. Thus, you can still use PPC-to- CPA methods, but you will need to be careful which offers you try this with and keep to the policies instituted by Google. If you are unsure about how you are going to attract traffic to offers, check out Chapter 3 for some real world examples. You don't have to be a genius at Adwords campaigns or even know much about Internet marketing to make this work. Don't be intimidated by this question, just have an answer prepared that proves you know what you're doing. No Website? That's Okay! Even if you have no website, you can still get accepted into a CPA network. You might think that sounds ridiculous, but as long as you can prove that you have the means to attract traffic to a CPA offer, that's really all they care about. There are people out there making money with CPA offers who don't use their own websites to promote the offer or even have a single landing page of their own. They use the advertisers’ landing pages and they just scoop traffic up from one area of the Internet and take it to another. It's really that simple. In Chapter 3, we're going to discuss four different ways to set up CPA offers and attract traffic from popular sites to your own offers. Some will not require you to produce a landing page and others will, depending on the policies of the portals that you visit. If you have a popular YouTube Channel, for instance, and you have thousands of subscribers, you can make a case for having a way to market those people with CPA offers. That's even though you really don't have a website of your own, it all belongs to YouTube. What If I Get Rejected? Even if you don't get a call the same day you submit your application, don't assume you've been rejected. It can take up to three days (or more) for an affiliate manager of the CPA network to contact you by phone, especially if you submitted your application over a weekend or during a holiday. They typically do try to make contact within the first 24 hours, but this is not always possible. If you haven’t heard anything after three days it's possible your application has been rejected, so you need to be proactive to see what types of problems might have been spotted on your application and work to overcome those objections. First, you will need to know what affiliate manager has been assigned to you; look for their name in the email notice you receive when you first apply online. Once you know whom to contact, you can email them based on the email addresses on your CPA network website or use AOL messenger if you have that available. There is an online list that has most affiliate administrators ‘names. It's a great list to keep nearby as you're awaiting approval because it also shows you when they are online. They are interested in getting people who can provide value to their advertisers on board, so don't hesitate to make contact and ask the status of your application. If they say it is denied, find out why. In many cases, they may accept additional proof or documentation to reverse their decision and grant you approval to join them. Even if you get turned down, use it as a learning experience. There are literally hundreds of CPA networks out there, and one of them is bound to say “yes.” Just put your best foot forward and be available to answer any questions they might have about your application. Offers There are numerous factors that make a CPA offer the right one for you. You are bound to see great offers that many other people are clamoring to publish, but this doesn't necessarily mean they will work for you. One of the biggest issues is that the audience you are marketing to can be significantly different than anyone else's audience; if this is the case then the offer needs to be appropriate for you own special niche if you are going to market it successfully. In other words, don't follow the crowd; instead, analyze your own position on the Internet and seek to exploit the traffic that's at your fingertips. Demographics And Niches Whether you are article marketing or answering questions on a forum, you have special knowledge that attracts people to your postings. This is your niche. Your niche will likely attract people of a particular demographic to your posts, so the more you know about these folks the more highly targeted you can make your CPA offers. After all, someone who is elderly is not going to be interested in the latest electronic video games, so match the needs and interests of the demographic to the offers you choose to make. You can set up different websites for different niches, or try to build audiences for specific niches by focusing on one topic over another in a forum. Just be clear about each site's demographic so you can have a better idea of which niches might be successful there and which are likely to fall flat. If you have just started and don't have a group following you already, you can just opt to focus on very hot niches until a demographic naturally clusters around it. Right now, hot niches include foreclosure prevention, debt consolidation or elimination, Internet marketing, and frugal topics. Use the Google Keyword Tool to research popular keywords and potential new niches. Hunting Down Those Great Offers To find great offers that will provoke people to take the action required by the merchant so you can receive payment into your account, place yourself in the visitor's shoes. What are they looking for? What problems are they having trouble solving? What will they be willing to do or not do? Compare that to the average earnings-per-click that is published for the offer to see if it is worth your time and energy market the offer.
