You'd be hard-pressed to find somebody that wants to live miserably. But through the process of life, you'll start to feel overwhelmed, stressed, tired, short-tempered and perhaps even burned out. You'll come home from work, or finish your day off by feeling worn out, irritated, and lousy. In turn, your productivity will be down. And with that, you can't progress in life, to an extent. If you let stress overwhelm your life and cause damage that you can't repair, it will prolong your goals and dreams, or maybe even crush them entirely. In all honesty, any career success, independent of your ultimate goal is truly not worth the negatives that the prolonged stress can create. Countless people all around the world talk everyday about how they can't sleep at night because they find themselves overloaded with tasks to complete. Their stomachs are in knots as they try to juggle picking up the kids from school, and picking up that extra hour or two at work. At the same time, a lot of people stick to their guns and refer to this “overly busy” aspect of their life as a prideful achievement. Juggling all of it continuously but deep down actually falling apart from the stress and overwhelm. Sure, it's not a bad thing to balance a ton of tasks for a few short days to meet a deadline or get a lot of things down in preparation for something. But the whole “heroic” and “noble” pursuit of taking on too many things at the same time is without a doubt detrimental to both your mental and physical health, and your business and goals as well. We often confuse business with productivity, and that's exactly what happens when we try to squeeze too much into one short day. We end up decreasing our productivity, and even the efficiency of our work. Not to mention, the whole process becomes a lot less enjoyable as a result. The most amazing part of learning how to manage stress in an easy way is that you'll find yourself in your optimal learning and performance zone much more frequently than you were before. Research has actually discovered that we have a specific zone in which we function at the most productive rate. Any time we spend outside of that zone because of stress and overwhelm, multi-tasking, or being distracted, is just time spent in mediocrity. Every time you practice this strategy that I'm revealing to you today, you’ll find that the blood is returning to your brain as each technique is signaling to the body that the fearful, stressinducing situation is over and the calm has returned. Now that I've rambled enough about stress and the premise of it's creation, I want to move forward on to the actual tactic. However, to do that, I need to provide you with just a little bit of background for all of it to make sense. Creating A Vision For Your Life or Business Let me be realistic here with you, though I have been this entire time already. You need to create a vision for your life and business that is actually compelling to you. Something you can stick to, even if it's just short term. You need to have goals regularly that you can achieve and also goals that you work towards. You should align your vision with your value and passion. This will help you to wake up with purpose each morning, ready to tackle the day and achieve your goals, even if it's just one step at a time. This vision will help you to overcome any obstacle that happens to pop up in the way of your path to righteousness. It will help you to stay focused and on the right track. Whether you're already employed at a job, or you're working for yourself. Even if you're trying to align yourself with what's happening in your personal life, the vision should apply across the board. You need to have an exciting vision in order for you to truly feel like you have purpose in life. With that excitement comes another challenge... How do you contain your excitement and align your goals so that they don't end up overwhelming you with long nights and weekends working? I know that the feeling of overwhelm from finding direction and balance in life can be a good thing and also a bad thing. If you truly find the right thing and get your focus in line, it can create a level of “good” stress. Which will fuel your motivation and keep your passionate towards bettering yourself. The problem with this is that too much too quickly can result in unnecessary stress in the form of a tight stomach, a more heavily beating heart, and so much more. Have you ever actually taken notice to the way that you body reacts to your different forms of excitement or stress, whether good or bad? Some of the energy is good, but it needs to be channeled in the right ways and then utilized only when you need it to give you that extra boost. Alright, so with all of that said, the following tactic is an incredibly powerful way to actually channel that energy. Our focus here should already be to create positive stress and levels of excitement. So now you should channel that energy to become more productive and reduce the general “wear and tear” that this sense of excitement can have on your body. So, what does this special trick consist of? Simple... breathing technique. Now before you laugh, which isn't a bad thing, just bare with me here. When we feel stressed, our breathing usually becomes shallower. We tend to start breathing faster and less deep, and then ultimately only use roughly 20% of the oxygen in our lungs. The result here is actually two-fold: 1. You only circulate a very limited amount of the oxygen that's in your body. 2. Your body goes into “defense mode” because of the shallower breathing which is often a signal of danger to our natural instincts. To combat that scenario from fully taking over, you can simply try to stop what you're doing for just a few seconds. From there, just start breathing deep full breaths by inhaling slowly and rising (or puffing) your belly or chest out. Put your hand on the top of your stomach and feel as it rises up and down. Breathe deeply, and slowly for about 10 seconds or so. Doing this sends signals to the body that the “coast is clear” and everything is okay. This will allow you to hopefully take better control of the situation before it gets the better of you. In turn, you'll be able to maintain in your high-productivity zone of focus and direction. The zone in which you can actually clearly think and act rationally towards situations. At this point you may be thinking about how stupidly easy this is. And yes, it is! Since you know what the “10 second tactic” now consists of, let's practice it right now just for review.

Surely nothing could be easier than staying in shape when you have a bench press right there in your own home? Unfortunately, it’s not that simple and there’s a good reason that most people will start out by hitting a gym. The first challenge is simply stocking your home up with the equipment you can need. It is possible to get into great shape using only bodyweight training and we’ll be discussing that in more detail later on. The thing is though, that in order to get fast muscle building results, training equipment does help. That then means dumbbells, pull up bars, bench presses, treadmills and all manner of others things – all of which cost a lot of money, take up a lot of space and require some basic knowledge to use. That’s the other issue here too: knowledge. A lot of people simply don’t know how to train on their own from home and this makes it remarkably difficult for them to build big muscle without going to a gym where they can meet trainers and see other people working out. Attempting a barbell on your own from the comfort of your own home can easily end up in a slipped disk or buckled knees! Fear is going to be immobilizing for a lot of people in this respect and prevent them from getting into shape. And then there’s the issue that a lot of people will have with motivation. If you’re trying to get into shape in your front room, that means you have to try and avoid the distractions of TV and you need to stay motivated even though your bed is right there. But even this isn’t the hardest part… Pushing Yourself From Home The problem, is that in order to build your strength or your fitness, you really need to be able to push yourself. If it’s muscle you’re trying to build, then that means you need to be able to create muscle tears and you need to pump your muscles with metabolites (more on this later!). This is much easier to do when you’re lifting big heavy weights and then dropping down each time you reach failure. It’s much easier when you have a trainer barking at you. And it’s much easier when you’re in a room filled with other people working hard, with no distractions and with a soft floor that you’re fine to sweat on. The same also goes for losing weight. How do you lose weight? With lots of cardio. That cardio needs to be high volume, whether that is achieved through high intensity or long duration. Whether you’re running for hours, or whether you’re doing intense HIIT workouts – either way, training requires you to push yourself. And when you’re at home, you will often not know how to do this, nor be able to do it because you won’t have the right equipment or necessary space. But this book is here to change all that. In these chapters, you’ll learn the secrets to training in such a way that you can break down muscle and transform your metabolism quickly and from the comfort of your home. Once you understand the logic, once you can crack the code, then you can go about building the power and health you’re looking for. So let’s get started! Chapter 2: Creating Your Awesome Home Gym To start with, you’re going to need to create your own home gym. This means finding the right equipment and stocking up your home, whether that’s a spare room, your living room or even a garage (which is just ideal!). The exact equipment you’re going to need is going to depend largely on the goals of your workouts and what you’re trying to achieve. The equipment you need to burn calories and lose weight for instance, is quite different from what you would use to build massive muscle. As we’re going to learn later in this book though, building muscle is actually still one of the key ways to burn fat. The more muscle you build, the more you’ll drive up your metabolism. What you’ll find then is that there are certain things and certain principles that will apply no matter what your aims are. And there are definitely some specific pieces of equipment that everyone should own. Read on and let’s take a look at what some of those are and how you should approach this process. What Makes a Good Home Gym? You are once again going to be faced with some unique challenges here when you begin building your own home gym. The first of these is the simple fact that your home gym shouldn’t cost too much. If you’re relatively new to the gym and if you don’t have any equipment yet, it can be tempting to stock yourself up with everything you think you might ever need and end up spending a small fortune. Likewise, you need to think about how you’re going to store your equipment. If you have a room dedicated to being your gym, then this latter point will be easy enough. But if you do not, then you need to think about how you can make a gym that will be easy to take apart and put back together on cue, or one that is simply small enough and compact enough that it doesn’t matter too much. Oh and you also need to make sure you aren’t going to smash any cabinets or go through any tables. The best tip in this regard then is to start small and then build your way up. That means buying just a few items that you absolutely need to begin with but approaching them in a way that leaves you with the potential to expand and build upon that start. Take dumbbells for example. Dumbbells are useful for practically every workout under the sun and can hit all manner of different body parts. But you’re going to need dumbbells that are heavy enough if you hope to really make an impact on your muscle growth. Of course ‘heavy enough’ depends not only on your current progress (which will change with time) but also on the move you’re doing. Lateral dumbbell raises are difficult to perform with anything above 10kg, even for a trained athlete. Conversely though, 10kg would be incredibly light for doing dumbbell presses. So the way to approach this challenge is to start out with dumbbells that can be increased and decreased in size. This means you should be able to remove and add weights as the situation requires and as you build up. Normally, you can get dumbbell sets for around $30 that let you increase the weight up to 20kg. This is a great starting point, or you might want to buy two lots of dumbbells, which will then allow you to build up further still. This is just one example of how you can approach your home gym in a modular and compact way if necessary, while at the same time saving money. Another example of something like this is the pull up bar. This is an incredibly unobtrusive item and one that will only cost you $10. You can even get pull up bars that don’t need drilling into the ground – they will simply fit over the door frame in order to fix into place! The best piece of equipment to upgrade your pull up bar? Gymnastic rings! Gymnastic rings are simply plastic rings that attach to rope and can be looped over a pull up bar. These then allow you to perform ring dips, muscle ups, the iron cross, reverse push ups (pull ups from a lower height, with your legs touching the floor stretched out in front of you) and all manner of other things! The best thing about gymnastic rings is that they cost very little once again and they can be stored in A skipping rope meanwhile is a great alternative to a treadmill, while you can also do a surprising amount with a bull worker – a piece of metal that offers resistance when squeezed. As we’ll see later on in this book, there are likewise lots of things you can do with everyday items from around the home! So think a little outside the box, use these tips and the principles behind these tips and build yourself a gym that does everything you need it to without taking up all the space in your home! The Basics You Should Invest In But for those looking for more specific instructions, the following is a good list of equipment that you can invest in over time to gradually build up your gym. Now note that none of these things are absolutely essential to get started except the pull up bar and possibly the dumbbells depending on your interests and goals. Here is how to start… Pull Up Bar: As mentioned, a pull up bar is the bear minimum you need to start training and building muscle. The reason for this is that the majority of muscles can be trained using bodyweight alone. By performing press ups you can train the chest and the shoulders, by performing sit ups you can train the abs etc. However, the parts that are hardest to train without equipment are the biceps and lats. These are ‘pulling’ muscles meaning you need to be pulling something in order to work them. Seeing as you can’t pull the floor toward you, that means you either need to hang or curl. Once you have a pull up bar, you can train your entire body – though it will be easier if you get a couple more items too. Dumbbells: Dumbbells are incredibly versatile and are used for much more than just bicep curls. They can also be used for all manner of presses, for triceps, for rows that work the lats etc. You can also use them to add weight to your body while you train your legs. Make sure to get dumbbells that can be increased in weight. Start with 20kg worth and buy two sets (giving you 40kg total) if you already have a good level of strength. Bench: If you want to take your training to the next level, then look at invest in a bench. This will allow you to use your dumbbells in a much more efficient manner in order to do dumbbell presses, flyes and all manner of other moves. The best bench will be one that has an adjustable back, this will mean you can sit on it or lie on it and that will in turn mean you can do isolation curls and other moves with it as well. On top of this, look into getting yourself a bench that can fold up in order to be put away. This way, you can tuck your bench under a bed or behind a wardrobe and it doesn’t have to get in your way as a result. Exercise Mat: This is not completely essential but you will find that training without an exercise mat can cause your floor to become slippery with sweat and can make a mess in your home. What’s more is that a mat will make it easier for you to perform moves like sit ups without hurting your back or buttocks on the hard ground! This is also good for stretching and more. Skipping Rope: For simply burning calories on the spot, there are few things better than the simple skipping rope! Kettlebell: Now you’re beginning to get more advanced. For training legs and burning calories, kettlebells are incredibly useful. That’s because they will allow you to perform kettlebell swings and all manner of squats (such as goblet squats). This in turn will mean you can build leg strength without needing a bar to perform deadlifts and squats. That’s good news, because performing deadlifts and squats requires a lot of space in your room and are expensive to set up. A kettlebell can also be used for all manner of functional strength exercises, including things like one armed presses. Gymnastic Rings: We already touched on the amazing benefits of gymnastic rings. The great thing is that these will let you do all the same exercises that TRX does but for a fraction of the price. In fact, they let you do a lot more seeing as TRX isn’t really suitable for dips! Bench Press: For those that really want to get serious, a full bench press will eventually be a good investment. This will mean getting a bar as well, in which case you might want to move into permanent set up so that you aren’t loading and unloading the bar every time you want to lift.

Knowing which foods to avoid and which are the best to reach for to snack on when you’re feel-ing worried and anxious is important to helping you get control over your emotions and fears. When you’re feeling stressed, you may be tempted to reach for classic ‘comfort foods’ – usually foods which are laden with sugar, very starchy, or greasy. How-ever, although these foods can make you feel momentarily better, they will actually make you feel worse in the long run. Having stress-busting snacks such as fresh berries, dark chocolate, yo-ghurt, walnuts or pistachios, or even a fruit smoothie with avocado and leafy greens in it can help you to feel better in both the short and long term when it comes to stress. When it comes to combating and dealing with stress in the long run, it’s important to make sure that for the most part, you are eat-ing a diet which is healthy and balanced. In order to stay on track, it’s a good idea to make a meal plan for your week and plan ahead to make sure that you have a good selection of these stress-busting foods in your kitchen to make meals and snacks from when you’re feeling like stress-eating. Making sure that the majority of your meals include foods such as lean proteins and leafy green vegetables will not only make you feel healthier over-all, but can improve your mental health and stress levels, too. A good example of a healthy, stress-busting menu would be: Breakfast: Oatmeal with berries or a fruit smoothie with avocado and berries Mid-morning snack: Natural yoghurt with fruit or a handful of pis-tachio nuts Lunch: A pasta salad filled with plenty of leafy greens Afternoon snack: Dark chocolate Dinner: Grass-fed beef with vegetables Before bed: Chamomile tea Of course, you don’t need to stick to this menu – but it gives you a good idea! Remember to exercise good portion control when eat-ing foods such as nuts, chocolate, yoghurt or avocado! As the saying goes, you are what you eat – so make sure that first and foremost, you’re filling yourself up with foods which are good for your mental health. 2. Your Active Lifestyle When you’re feeling stressed out, exercising is probably the last thing on your mind. However, having a lifestyle which is active and participating in some sort of exercise regularly can actually help you to feel calmer and less stressed. Cardiovascular exer-cise has been proven to have a wide range of health benefits be-sides weight loss and increased fitness, and has been shown in studies to actually reduce the symptoms of depression. Because of this, taking part in regular exercise should be an important part of your lifestyle when it comes to dealing with your stress. Best Stress-Busting Exercises If you’ve ever been stressed out and went outside for a while to ‘walk it off’, you’ve probably found that this approach actually works. Exercise, no matter how gentle, can often be the best thing for stress and anxiety. Walking has been proven to have a num-ber of huge physical and mental health benefits, so if you’re not used to exercising a lot or don’t want to join your local gym, there’s nothing to worry about as simply going for a walk could be enough to help you feel better and clear your head. If you’ve had a stressful day or something is really getting to you, getting out for a walk can be the best, quick-acting antidepres-sant. This is especially true if it’s a nice day and you’re getting some sunshine as well, as Vitamin D is absolutely crucial for men-tal health. Simply heading for a walk up the road or setting off to your local park to wander around for a while can help to take your mind off whatever is stressing you out, allow you to clear your head and put things into perspective – all of which can help you to manage your stress and deal with your stressors in a calm, col-lected manner. This is because walking, which is a simple exer-cise that most of us can easily do, releases endorphins, which create feelings of increased happiness and euphoria. So, if you’re feeling like stress is taking over, hitting the pavements for ten minutes or taking your dog for a walk can be a quick solution. Your Regular Routine Whilst exercise can create a great ‘quick fix’ for those who are feeling anxious and stressed out, sticking to a regular exercise routine can actually help to improve symptoms in the long run. Doctors recommend that people who are suffering from chronic stress, depression or anxiety to make sure that they get plenty of time in the gym. But, don’t worry if you can’t or don’t want to join a gym or fitness center, as there are plenty of exercises which you can do from the comfort of your own home. For the best physical and mental results, you should mix a range of cardiovascular and weight training exercises. This could include walking, jogging, cy-cling, or swimming, for example, along with exercises such as push-ups, squats, lunges, sit-ups, crunches, and stretches. Com-bining these two types of exercises will not only improve your mental health by releasing feel-good chemicals to your brain, you will also reap the benefits of a body which is stronger and healthi-er. Benefits of Exercise for Mental Health Exercising regularly has a range of benefits for your mental health. Not only does the actual act of participating in physical ac-tivity release endorphins to your brain which will make you feel happier, calmer and help you to clear your mind, it can also help in a range of other ways. Since exercising regularly can help to improve your physical appearance due to muscles which are stronger and more toned and perhaps weight loss, this can help to give your self-esteem a boost, resulting in increased levels of self-confidence which in turn can have an effect on your stress levels. Along with that, exercise is important for keeping you in good physical health. Studies have shown that regular exercise can help to prevent against diseases such as cardiovascular disease, stroke, and even some cancers. Since poor physical health can be one of the biggest causes of feeling stressed or at the very least contribute to increasing anxiety levels in stressful situations, exercising regularly can help to reduce stress by giving us less to be stressed about. Regular exercise can also help with issues such as muscle or joint pain, which in turn can help you to feel better, stronger and healthier overall. In turn, you’ll feel more able to take on stressful situations and will be less likely to be worried about your own health or dealing with pain and discomfort. Getting Started With Exercise If your lifestyle has been more on the sedentary side than that of the active recently, there’s nothing to worry about as gentle exer-cise is often enough to help improve your stress levels. If you’re taking up exercising regularly for the first time or haven’t done much exercise for some time, it’s important to make sure that you start off slowly and gently in order to make sure that you give your body the time to get used to the increase in activity and gradually improve your strength. Jumping straight from the sofa to a strenu-ous exercise routine can actually do more damage than good. So, don’t feel bad if you can only do a little bit of exercise at first – as you continue to practice, you will be able to increase the amount that you do. Yoga for Stress Yoga is one of the best exercises which you can do in order to combat feelings of stress and anxiety. Yoga is designed to not on-ly improve fitness levels, strength and balance, but also clear the mind and help reduce stressful thoughts and feelings. Taking part in yoga not only allows you to improve your levels of fitness and strength to be healthier overall, but it can also strengthen your mind and help you to feel more at peace with yourself and every-thing around you. Yoga is also often associated with mindfulness meditation, which can be extremely useful for dealing with stress and anxiety. Another benefit of yoga is that it is often done social-ly – joining a yoga class means that not only will you be able to benefit from the physical and mental health benefits of taking part in yoga, but you will also be able to reap the social benefits of meeting new friends and getting support, something which can be incredibly useful for dealing with stress and anxiety. 3. Lifestyle Habits Which Cause Stress Unhealthy lifestyle habits are some of the biggest stressors. You may not realize it, but some of the habits which you do on a regu-lar basis could actually be a huge contributor to your stress levels. Do you lift a cigarette to your mouth whenever you’re feeling stressed and anxious? Or, do you turn to alcohol to help you re-lax? Maybe you drink more cups of coffee in a day than you should, or stay up late working to find solutions to fix whatever is causing your stress? The thing is, doing any of these can usually only serve to make your stress worse. Smoking Stress and smoking tend to have a direct relationship with one another. For many people, having a cigarette is what they turn to when stressed as they feel that inhaling the smoke from the ciga-rette calms them and helps to clear their head. For smokers, be-ing addicted to nicotine itself can actually cause stress levels to rise. When the body is deprived of nicotine, stress can be a huge symptom of cravings. Since having a cigarette quenches the nico-tine cravings, the smoker begins to associate having a cigarette with feeling less stressed. On the other hand, smoking marijuana can actually have the op-posite effect. If you live in a state where marijuana is legal for ei-ther medical or recreational use, you may be able to try using cannabis to help with stress and anxiety. Drinking Alcohol The problem with turning to alcohol when you are stressed out is that alcohol is a depressant. Have you ever noticed that you are a happy drink when you were feeling good before you started drink-ing, but if you drink when you’re feeling down, you only end up feeling worse? This is because alcohol tends to heighten which-ever mood you were in when you were sober. If you drink alcohol when you’re stressed, you could end up feeling worse. Along with that, alcohol can impair your judgement of situations, therefore getting drunk when you’re stressed out could lead to some regret-table decisions. For this reason, it’s vital to consume alcohol in moderation in order to help control your stress levels. For exam-ple, one glass of red wine per night can actually be good for your health, but it’s important to avoid overconsuming.

It seemed like anything that could go wrong, did go wrong. I felt like I was spinning out of control. I happened to be writing a book on yoga and meditation at the time and came across a website that offered a downloadable mp3 hypnotic relaxation session. It cost me about $20 and it was the best $20 I have ever spent! There are plenty of places on the internet where you can get these downloadable sessions for a small fee. However, you can also practice self-hypnosis on your own. You first need to find a quiet place where you can fully relax and listen to your inner voice. You shouldn’t TRY to make something happen. Let your mind listen and relax. A large part of achieving that hypnotic state is to allow it to happen naturally. Also, don’t watch for certain signs or signals that you might be in a hypnotic state. We can guarantee that if you look for these signs, you won’t be able to fully relax and gain the benefits of self-hypnosis. There are lots of different ways to experience hypnosis. No two people will have exactly the same experience. In one respect, though, everyone has the same experience: the hypnotic state is always pleasant! There are no "bad trips" in hypnosis. Keep in mind that self-hypnosis is a skill, and that you will continue to get better at it and, as you do, it becomes ever more powerful. It's a good idea to set up a schedule of practice, allowing yourself anywhere between 10 and 30 minutes, depending on how busy you are and how much time you have to spend at it. Practice during the best part of your day if you can and at a time when you are least likely to be disturbed by others. Most people find it best to practice lying down, in a comfortable position, with as few distractions as possible. If you are bothered by noise while you practice you can try to mask out the noise with some other source of sound. You can try stereo music in the background, or white noise if you like. If like most people you don't have a white noise generator, try tuning a radio receiver between stations. The static you get when you do that is similar to white noise. However this takes an older or cheaper FM receiver without a noise suppressor. Sometimes AM tuners can be used for this. This should just be in the background and not too loud to be distracting. The basic divisions of a hypnotic induction are relaxation, deepening, suggestion application, and termination. Relaxation Your first job in the hypnotic induction is to slow the juices down and get yourself relaxed. But don't try to force your mind to relax (whatever that means)! If you get yourself physically relaxed, your mind will follow. Relaxation – really deep relaxation – is an ability that most people have either lost or never developed. Some people can do it quite easily, though. They just let go of their tensions and let every part of their body become limp and relaxed. If you are one of these people, begin your self-hypnosis practice by getting nicely relaxed. Take your time. This is not something you want to rush. The time involved for the relaxation phase of your self-hypnosis induction can vary from half an hour to just a few seconds. It is an important part of the induction and should not be slighted. As you get better and your skill increases you will recognize deeply relaxed states, and you will be able to achieve them in a surprisingly short time. But as a beginner, take your time. It will be time well spent. A very popular method of deep relaxation is the Jacobson Progressive Relaxation procedure. This involves tensing each of the major muscle groups of your body (foot and lower leg on each side, upper leg and hip, abdomen, etc.). Tense the muscle group for a few seconds, then let go. Deepening Procedures Once you have completed the relaxation phase of your self-hypnosis induction procedure, you can begin to deepen the relaxed state. At some time between the deep relaxation and the deepening procedures you will move into a hypnotic state. You probably won't know it, especially as a beginner, but it will happen sooner or later. One of the first hurdles a beginner must get over is the compulsion to "watch for it." That is, you will keep waiting for hypnosis to happen, for some change in your awareness or the way you feel that will say to you, "You're hypnotized." Watching for hypnosis will definitely get in your way if you don't get it out of your mind. Going into a hypnotic state is, in this respect, similar to going to sleep. If you try to catch yourself going to sleep – if you try to be aware of the precise instant in which you actually go to sleep – you are much less likely to go to sleep. "Watching" keeps you awake. In this same way you will not know when you go into a hypnotic state (but that won't be because you lost consciousness – you won't). Later, after you have been practicing regularly for a few weeks or a month or two, you'll be much more familiar with yourself and how it feels to be hypnotized. Does it take everyone weeks or even months to get into a good hypnotic state? Definitely not. Some people have an amazing experience the very first time they try it. Others might practice for several days, noticing nothing, then out of the blue they have one of those great induction sessions in which they know something stupendously good happened. But if you happen not to be one of these people, don't worry about it. Just keep practicing and you will eventually get there. One of the most popular deepening procedures is the count-down technique. Hollywood also likes this one. That is why you see it in so many movies. That and the swinging watch. To use the count-down technique you simply start counting downward from, say, 20 (or 100, or whatever). Adjust the countdown number to whatever feels right to you after you have practiced a few times. Imagine that you are drifting deeper with each count. Other images and thoughts will probably intrude themselves as you count. That is natural. Just gently brush them aside, continuing with your counting. The speed with which you count down should be natural; not too fast, not too slow. For most people this means counting at a rate of about one count for each two or three seconds. Do it at a rate that feels comfortable and relaxed to you. Some people like to tie the count with their breathing. As they drift deeper their breathing slows down, so their counting also slows down. Don't count out loud, just think your way down the count. You want to avoid as much physical involvement and movement as possible. Suggestion Application in Self-Hypnosis Once you have reached the end of your deepening procedure you are ready to apply suggestions. What you have done during the relaxation and deepening procedures is increase your suggestibility. That is, you have opened up your subconscious mind at least a little bit to receive your suggestions. This works because of the particular, and peculiar, characteristics of the subconscious part of your mind. The most common and easiest way to apply suggestions is to have them worked out ahead of time, properly prepared and worded, and memorized. It should not be too difficult to remember them because they should be rather short and you are the one who composed them. If you have them ready and remembered, you can simply think your way through them at this point. Dialogue, or more properly monologue, is also okay. You just talk ("think" to keep your effort to a minimum) to yourself about what it is you want to do, be, become, whatever. Don't say "you." You are thinking to yourself, so use the first person personal pronoun "I." Some suggestions can be succinctly stated in a somewhat more formal sort of way, like, "I am eating less and becoming more slender every day." Elaborated suggestions are generally wordier and more of an ad lib: "Food is becoming less important to me every day and I am filling my time with more important and meaningful pursuits than eating. It is getting easier and easier to pass up desserts and other fattening foods . . ." and so on. Generally speaking, the most effective kind of suggestion is image suggestion. Image suggestions usually do not use language at all. You can liken this to seeing yourself in a calm, relaxed state while in the middle of a chaotic situation. Actually see yourself in your mind’s eye. Although people sometimes see immediate results from their suggestions, it is more likely to take a little time for them to kick in. So don't be impatient. On the other hand, if you have not begun to see some results within, say, a couple of weeks, you need to change your suggestions. Termination Once you have finished applying suggestions you are through with your induction and you can terminate your session. You could just open your eyes, get up and go about your business, but that is not a good idea. You should formally identify the end of every session. By doing this you provide a clear boundary between the hypnotic state and your ordinary conscious awareness. A clear termination also prevents your self-hypnosis practice session from turning into a nap. If you want to take a nap, take a nap. But don't do it in a way that sleeping becomes associated with self-hypnosis practice. If you are practicing at bedtime and don't care if you go on to sleep, that is okay. But still draw the line in your mind to indicate the end of your self-hypnosis session. To terminate the session, think to yourself that you are going to be fully awake and alert after you count up to, say, three. "One, I'm beginning to come out of it, moving toward a waking state. Two, I'm becoming more alert, getting ready to wake up. Three, I'm completely awake." Something like that.

Cliffs Notes For Social Media PLR Ebook

Sample Content Preview Ready? Here are the commandments to follow, the mistakesto avoid and the creative methods of engaging others that produce real results. Remember, these are short but exceedingly powerful. Ignoring any one of them may be perilous to your bottom line. The 15 Commandments of Social Media: 1. Help others often, eagerly and without thought of benefit to yourself. 2. Be patient with others. Remember, you were once new to social media, too. 3. Share great content. 4. Forward great content and credit generously. 5. Thank often and thank liberally. 6. Be yourself, not a cardboard cutout. Show your personality. 7. If you don't have a personality, grow one and then show it. 8. Blog often and intelligently. 9. If you don't know something, say so. Then find out and get back to them. 10. Don't just talk -have real conversations. Remember, these are real people, not just avatars and photos. 11. Find the time for social media. Schedule it in and then just do it. 12. Use tools to schedule posts and monitor mentions. Social media is one facet of your marketing campaign –it's not your life. 13. Don't automate the whole process. Be there. Reach out and interact. Find the balance between automation and the personal touch. 14. Laugh at yourself. Tell tales on yourself. Show your human side –people aren't friends with Superman, they're friends real people whohave real challenges and real faults and can laugh at themselves. 15. Admit your own mistakes and then move on. The mistakes make you human, but dwelling on them makes you annoying. The 12 Dumbest Mistakes to Avoid In Social Media 1. Posting long, messy, nasty URLs. Use a URL shortener like bit.ly. 2. Posting too often. Rein this in by posting only when you actually have something to say. 3. Not spacing your posts. Sending 20 posts in 10 minutes and then not posting the rest of the day is –well –dumb. 4. Not making sense. Posting, “ARGGHHH” with no other information just annoys people. Post complete thoughts that actually mean something. 5. Too much personal stuff. You're doing social media to promote your business or service, right? Then keep it 90+% business and less than 10% personal. 6. Being boring. Posting that chocolate tastes good (No! Really??) or that you had cold cereal for breakfast is so........ Excuse me, I fell asleep for a second. See what I mean? 7. No picture. Yes,you need a profile picture. And yes, it should be a good one. If need be, pay to get your portrait taken –it's worth it. 8. Wrong picture. Your profile picture needs to be of YOU, not a puppy or a cheerleader (unless the puppy or cheerleader is you.) 9. Not giving credit or attributing the wrong source. Give credit where credit is properly due. Always. 10. Being wrong. Again, check your facts if you're unsure. 11. Being a jerk. No matter how much you disagree, the other person is never an idiot, a moron or a jack***. Remember, once you put it on the net, you can NEVER take it back. 12. Getting political. You're entitled to your own politics, but they have no business mixing with your business. Keep them 100% separate at all times. 13. Using TrueTwit. Someone wants to follow you, so you punish them by making them click a link and enter CAPTCHA code? What a great way to piss new followers off and lose them in the process. 14. Ignoring shares and RT's. Someone retweets or shares something of yours, what do you do? If the answeris nothing, you lose. Instead, THANK them for sharing your content and start a conversation. 15. Spamming. Think about community, relationships and building trust as your first priorities. Yes, you can send out an affiliate link now and then, but 90+% of thetime you should be sending content or having a conversation.

Create Raving Fans and Zealots For Your Brand PLR Ebook

Sample Content Preview So what's your creed? Invest some time to get this right. And if you have more than one product and the products are wildly different, know that you'll want a different creed for each one. For example, you won't have the same creed for an info product on traffic generation as an info product on building your abs. 3. The Icons –These are best defined as a quick concentration of meaning. This could be a logo like the Nike swoosh, the smell of Cinnabons in the mall, a country's flag, a national anthem, Alice Cooper's eye make-up, Kiss's face make-up, the Budweiser Clydesdales, Disney's castle as well as Disney's 2 black mouse ears, McDonald's arches, the 2 notes Law and Order plays just before the show appears, the opening music to any television show or the 5 signature notes of Intel. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aEDpqFHTSVM Choose your icon carefully, and then use it in all of your marketing. Update it when needed, being careful not to lose it in the process. It should always be instantly recognizable and tightly tied to your brand. 4. The Rituals –This is how our customers interact with your product and service, and how you interact with them. This one is a little harder to define and illustrate. We have rituals for everything we do on a frequent basis, including brushing our teeth, doing laundry, driving our car and checking our email. The key here is to focus on improving the experience the customer has with your product or brand. How can you raise the experience to a higher level? How can you make it more enjoyable, or even something they look forward to? How can you take the stress out and put the fun in? Here's a great example: The ritual of flying. While most airlines are cutting every frill to the absolute bare bone, Virgin is moving in the opposite direction. They hand you a plastic shoulder sack full of goodies. There's a television screen on the back of every seat. They serve Virgin Cola and let you listen to music and watch movies non-stop. What can you do to make the ritual of discovering, buying and using your product more enjoyable -so enjoyable, in fact, that people will talk about you and your product? 5. The Pagans, or Nonbelievers –These are best defined as “those other guys.” Us against them. Apple vs P.C. and Internet Explorer vs Firefox vs Chrome. One political party vs their opposition. One sports team vs their rival. Nothing unites a group faster than having a common 'enemy.' 7up declared itself the “un-cola.” Taco Bell tells you to “think outside the bun.” Defining your pagans is important in defining who you are. Do you teach methods of getting free traffic? Then paid traffic traffic methods are your pagans. Do you show people how to eat only clean, healthy foods? Then pseudo foods, pseudo food manufacturers and people who eat pseudo foods are your pagans. 6. The Sacred Words –words specific and exclusive to your own product, service or brand. Walt Disney has 'Mickey Mouse,' 'Goofy' and 'Donald Duck.' Starbucks has a 'grande.' Dr. Seuss invented an entire world of sacred words. Apple has “think different.” Texters have their own sacred language. Information product creators and authors create their own terms to define what they're teaching. By creating your own sacred words, your fans and followers are on the inside of the secret circle with their own language. It's a cohesive, insider's-only knowledge that brings a group together. Think of a young couple in love –they develop their own language that is indecipherable to anyone else, and in this way they become 2 against the world. You can replicate this with your own sacred words, so don't be afraid to get creative –your customers will love you for it. 7. The Leader –this person is the catalyst, the risk taker, the visionary, the iconoclast who set out against all odds to achieve something. Think Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Oprah, Gandhi, Richard Branson, Nelson Mandela and others who have led movements, companies and causes. The leader could be the founder or it could be someone who takes their place functionally or symbolically. This means if you don'twant to be the leader, you can choose someone else, like a spokesperson for your brand. Does all of this sound like too much work just to sell a product? Perhaps it is if you're thinking small. If your goal is to sell a few hundred copies of something and move on, then you don't need these 7 steps. But if you want to create something that takes on a life of its own and grows exponentially, then adhering to every one of these 7 pieces of the Primal Code is essential. We talk about making a video or an idea or a product go viral. How does that happen? Is it an accident, or is it because that product or idea meets every one of these 7 criteria? Spend some time looking at the famous people and especially popular brands, and see if they don't use all 7 of these in their marketing. Look at it this way –if you could create a brand that grows like a religion, wouldn't you want to? Imagine the people you can help, the alliances you can forge, and the profits you can make. I highly recommend you get your own copy of Primal Branding by Patrick Hanlon, because I've only just scratched the surface here of what he teaches. In fact, if you only read one marketing-related book, this is in my opinion the one to read.

Magic Words To Build Your Business Exponentially PLR Ebook

Sample Content Preview Don't kid yourself –you cannot do it all and make the kind of money you want. As soon as you can afford to, start outsourcing. It's not only one of the most profitable things you can do, it also gets you away from the grindstone and able tosee the big picture so you can better navigate the waters of your business. 2 Magic Words To Make You A Marketing Rockstar If you want your content to be seen and shared, and if you want it to make a lasting impression of prospects, then the written word is seldom enough anymore. Let's do a test: Tell me everything you can about the person who wrote the blog post you read yesterday. Drawing a blank? Now tell me everything you can about a video you saw yesterday. Different story, right? What if someone calls you on the phone to sell you something you're interested in, versus someone that shows up at your door. Which one are you more likely to buy from? Assuming you're not freaked out that a salesman appeared out of no where with the product that adequately fits your needs, you're going to buy from him, not the faceless person on the phone. Obviously you can't visit your prospects in person, but you can do something almost as good –USE VIDEOPeople remember video over the written word because it engages more of the senses. If you only use the written word, you're simply not going to make nearly the same level of connection that you could have with video. Now then, you might be afraid to get in front of the camera. If so, you can start out with slideshowvideos, animated videos or screencast videos. Then move up to videos of yourself because this is the real pay off. This is where people start to feel like they can really connect with you and they KNOW you. Remember, content is more important than quality. You don't have to be the next Steven Spielberg to make this work, you just have to be authentic with something to say that people want to hear. 3 Magic Words That Can DOUBLE Your Sales You should be doing this every single time you sell a product or service because it will invariably increase your bottom line. Marketers have added hundreds of thousands of dollars to their sales funnels by simply incorporating these three words into every sales system they create. What are the 3 magic words? ALWAYS BE UPSELLING.Every single time you sell anything, offer an upsell / downsell sequence because it can turn your original $47 sale into a $300 sale or more, simply by offering the customer additional options. Offer something that is complimentary to the original offer. It might make the original offer easier or faster to implement, go into more depth, offer more options, or even perform a service for them. It could be coaching, an additional information product, software, a membership program or anything elsethat helps the customer to achieve the result they want. What if you don't have a product or service to offer as an upsell? Then find an appropriate affiliate product that matches your original offer. And here's a secret: When a customer turns down an upsell, they are typically more open to buying a lower cost (downsell) product. It's almost as though the higher ticket item warms them up to the downsell offer. This is why car dealers and real estate brokers like to show cars and properties that are too expensive for the client. Once they show the client something more affordable, the client is more likely to make an offer than if they'd been shown the lower cost model in the first place. 4 Magic Words To Get You More Clients If you're selling big ticket items or services, I'm about to utter the 4 words 9 out of 10 marketers dread: PICK UP THE PHONE.Nothing sells as well as face to face contact except perhaps the phone. Let's face it –your prospects are inundated with emails and shout-outs on social media. If you really want to connect and make the sale, you need to pick up that 500 pound phone and establish a real one-on-one relationship. If you're phone-a-phobic, start with existing customers. Find out how they're doing with the product(s) they've purchased and what you can do to help them along (coaching, perhaps?) Next, move on to your lowest hanging fruit –those prospects you deem most likely to bite. Make it a rule to call 5 people each day, and within 3 weeks you'll notice 2 things: First, being on the phone isn't so scary anymore. And second, business is definitely picking up. 5 Magic Words That Virtually Eliminate Any Competition Whatever your niche, there are others who are doing very nearly the same thing, better known as your direct competition. For example, if you're a weight loss coach, there are thousands of other weight loss coaches you're competing against to gain clients. That's why you've got to find a way to stand completely apart from the crowd, and the best way to do this is to CREATE A UNIQE POSITIONING POINTfor yourself and your business. Find that one thing that makes you totally different from all the other weight loss coaches out there, that thing that draws customers to you like flies. And mind you, saying that you're better, that your work is higher quality, that you've got more experience, etc., isn't unique. Everybody says those things. Can't think of anything? Try this: “I will show you how to lose weight while NEVER feeling deprived and still eating the foods you love.” Sign me up! Here's one from a carpet cleaner: “If I don't remove your stain and get you sparkling clean carpets, I'll pay you $50 for your time.” You're hired! I wouldn't need to hear another word in order to choose this carpet cleaner over all theothers –would you? A Chiropractor might advertise: “I'll get you immediate relief from your back pain or your visit is completely free.” That's what I want to hear -make me an appointment now! 6 Magic Words That Double Subscribers You already know how crucial it is to continually build your list. But are you being aggressive enough? The vast majority of websites are missing opportunities to grab more subscribers because they don't PLACE OPT-IN BOXES ON EVERY PAGE of their website. Yet this simple step can as much as DOUBLE the number of subscribers you get from your site. Most websites have an opt-in box on the homepage or none at all. But very few have an opt-in box on every single page. And fewer still place opt-in boxes on both the right sidebarabove the fold, and again at the bottom of each post. But adding these boxes along with a great incentive to sign up will increase the number of subscribers you get. And make sure your opt-in box stands out with clean lines and no clutter. And go ahead and place opt-in boxes in unexpected places as well. Do you have sales pages? Place an opt-in box on each one. Do you have more than one sign-up incentive? You might place one incentive in the right sidebar, and the other at the bottom of the page. This wayif one incentive doesn't interest them, then the other one might. You can then position your follow ups according to the incentive they chose. You might even place a video with your opt-in boxes, instructing the reader to fill in their email address and press the button to get the incentive. By telling people what to do, you increase the chances they'll actually do it. Can you make a short, snappy and powerful quiz people can take? This is another way to capture email addresses. Once they finish the quiz, you request their email address so you can send them their confidential results via email. 7 Magic Words To Build Your Visibility And Reach a Larger Audience If you're not on Google+ yet, you're missing the boat. Google+ will increase your visibility, help you boost traffic to your site, improve your search engine ranking, improve your authority, increase the distribution of your content, and connect you to your potential customers, affiliates and joint venture partners. That's a LOT of benefits you're missing out on if you're not already on Google+, but it gets even better.

Tips For Marketing Your Business On Facebook PLR Ebook

Sample Content Preview What can you do if you goofed up and you already made a profile for your business? There is a fix: By using Facebook's migrate tool, you can switch from a profile to a page and best of all, you get to KEEP all of your followers. Here's the link: https://www.facebook.com/pages/create.php?migrate 2. Promoteyour fan page. First, place your fan page URL in your email signature. Now every time you send an email, it's another chance for recipients to find your Facebook fan page. Next, blog about your fan page. Don't just ask your blog readers to like your page–instead, give them at least one compelling reason why they should (bribes work well, but it could be any reason, so long as it resonates with your readers. Now, add a “Like” optionto your blog or websites. 3. Cross page promote your page. By posting on other fan pages using your page's user name, you get a visible link to your page with each comment. 4. Consider getting some Facebook ads. It's easy, you can spend as little as you like, and you can target your campaigns to only those people who are likely to be interested in what you have to offer. 5. Promote your page on Twitter. First, place your fan page URL on your Twitter profile background. (Note: Only those using the web based version of Twitter will see your background, but this is still plenty of eyeballs.) Second, Tweet about your page. Ask your Twitter followers to like your fan page. Again, offering them a good reason why they should like it will greatly increase your response rate. 6. Why should people become fans? We've touched on this, but it's important: Give people a great reason to become your fan. Maybe it's to get discounts or updates. Maybe it's a free video, ebook, etc. Just make sure it's something that motivates immediate and swift action. 7. Add your page URL to YouTube. Do you create videos to promote your business? Then by all means add your fanpage URL link to your videos, either at the end of the video or at the beginning of the video description. 8. Post frequently. If you forget about your fanpage, your fans will forget about you. Post once or twice a day with good info, updates and questions. Don't make it all about you and your products. Instead, post about events, news, your industry and so forth. And whenever you can, inject a little humor into the mix. 9. Ask your fans to like your content so it gets shared on their walls. You can't ask every time, but now and then is fine. When they like your post, more people will see it, which can lead to more fans –always a good thing. 10. Speaking of questions: Get your fans involved with your page by starting discussions about your products and services or industry news. What's the best way to start a discussion? Simply ask a provocative question your fans cannot ignore. If you get stuck on what to ask, use the fill in the blank kind of question, such as, “If you could have any job in the world, it would be ____.” 11. Do not become a troll victim. Now that you're starting discussions, remember to remain professional at ALL TIMES, with no exceptions. If you are perceived as quarreling with a fan, it won'tmatter if you're right –it will only matter that you lost your cool and you look like a real dope. And if things look like they may get nasty, offer the fan a private way to contact you (phone or email, for example.) 12. Forget the “I” and focus on the “we.” Much like writing a sales letter, making Facebook posts should be all about “we,” not I. For example, “We reached 500 likes today, thank you everyone!” 13. Remember to use plenty of photos and even videos. Written words are great, but videos are better and photos tend to get shared. So incorporate a variety of mediums into your Facebook communications. 14. Be thankful. This one takes a little time, but it's well worth it. Thank each new person who likes your Facebook page (you can find them by using the “New Likes” box.) This will really make you stand apart from the crowd. After all, how many people have ever personally thanked them for a Like? You might very well be the first. 15. Relax. Facebook is not the place for a suit and tie kind of personality. Instead, be fun, be casual, be funny and make your fanpage an entertaining, inviting place to be. 16. Brand your page. That large image on your timeline needs to ROCK. It should effectively communication the message you want to send to your fans, so spend some time getting it just right. (And size it as close to 850 x 315 pixels as possible for optimal viewing.) 17. Keep track. Use Facebook insights to discover when people are most engaged with your content. This way you know when to post to get the maximum effect. 18. Encourage people to return. Facebook check-in deals allow you to offer special incentives when people check in with your page. 19. Keep it short and sweet. Want to capture the most eyeballs? Then keep your posts to 80 characters or less. Longer posts tend to be skimmed over and shorter ones tend to get read.

Working The Media PLR Ebook

Sample Content Preview Make no mistake, print media is still very influential. These days we tend to talk about social media, social influence and so forth online. But we sometimes lose sight of the fact that there is a real world out there with print media –newspapers and magazines, as well as radio and television. And appearing in any of these media gives you instant credibility you simply cannot get through social media. One thing that's especially important to understand is why being in the news is so vastly superior to advertising. When you purchase ads, it's assumed you can say pretty much what you like as long as you don't violate any laws. Is it any wonder people are immediately skeptical of advertising claims? Butwhen you're in the news it's an entirely different matter. Journalism is for the most part fact based –or at the very least, people believe it's fact based. Viewers and readers assume what they hear in the story is true, that it's been verified, and thatthere is no ulterior motive for the story (such as parting them from their money.) In a nutshell, advertising raises defenses and news lowers defenses. As an aside, next time you write an ad, whether it's a sales page, an email, etc., try framing it in the style of news and see if your conversion rate doesn't increase. Fortunes have been made with just this tip.Think about it. Brian Wilkes, an ex-anchorman and journalist, was having dinner with Walter Cronkite. Cronkite turns to Wilkes and says, "You have to be able to look people right in the eye and tell them things they don't want to hear. The secret in this business of broadcast news is credibility." He paused. "If you can fake that, you've got it made." Most trusted man in America? Hardly. Googleit sometime and you'll find the bogus survey CBS quoted when bestowing that title on their evening news anchor. But Cronkite was intelligent and good at his job. As he explained, the secret was not in convincing people of what he believed, but in finding out where they stood, determining the exact center of the ever-shifting ground of public opinion, and then standing there and owning that space as if he had been there all along. This is juicy stuff, especially for a marketer. If Cronkite were in our shoes, he'd tell us to find out where our customers' heads are, and then build our products and our messages based upon that. This way you never need to convince –your prospect has already sold himself before you've even offered him your product. In The War of the Worlds, actors portrayed journalists, 'reporting' of the invasion of Martians in New Jersey. As implausible as that story was, there were still people who believed it was actually happening. Why? Because it sounded like breaking news, not a radio In the 1950's the Federal Communications Commission in the U.S. created new regulations to limit and govern the commercial content of television. The worry was that the lines between paid advertising and news were becoming blurred and consumers werebeing fooled. But then in 1984 the American President Reagan eliminated those regulations. Result? The infomercial. Now you had extra long commercials that were staged like talk shows, news shows, etc. with the sole purpose of selling products. And it worked better than anyone even dared hope. According to tapebeat.com, over $150 billion of consumer products in the US are sold through infomercials each year. What's my point? Get you, your products and your website into the media spotlight. Or at the veryleast, make your advertising look and feel more like news than just another sales pitch. There are two basic methods to getting into the news. The first is to be the subject of a news story. Examples might be that you've got an especially provocative, titillating or controversial product worthy of being news, or your business is holding an event to raise money for a worthy cause. This gets you into the media eye for short bursts of time, but each time you want to get back into the media, you need to come up with another brilliant, newsworthy idea. The second method is to become an authority in your field –someone the media turns to for quotes, to answer questions, to explain information to their audience and so forth. This gets you into the news on a more frequent basis, although with less splash. Both methods are good, and together they can create more free advertising than you could hope to buy in a lifetime. If you're thinking that you or your business could never be featured in news stories, you're probably right. The very first thing you've got to do is get your head around the fact that you or your business can indeed be newsworthy. If Wayne Gretsky missed 100% of the shots he didn't take, then you're going to miss 100% of the media opportunities you allow to slip by because you're not confident you have what it takes to be news. There isn't time or space here to give you the full run down on getting into the media –entire books are written on this topic alone. For example, Free Publicity: A TV Reporter Shares the Secrets for Getting Covered on the News by Jeff Crilley is in my opinion an especially good one.
