With a sound system, people in your organization have a clear understanding of the work they need to perform and what is expected of them. Without policies, there are many unanswered questions, and quality and service can’t be guaranteed. Now that you understand why it's good to have a systemized business let's explore the benefits that you can gain. Reduce Costs Managing your email inbox or reading through piles of mail isn't the most efficient use of your time. As the business owner, your time would be better spent analyzing new business opportunities or developing new product lines. Delegating many of the days to day tasks that are required to run a business, can free up your time so you can focus your energy on the activities that will allow you to grow your business and increase revenues. Without clearly documented business procedures, you can’t delegate those daily tasks that eat up most of your time. By recording your processes, you can easily delegate tasks knowing that they will be done correctly, allowing you to free up your time to oversee more projects, which brings in more revenue for your growing business. Increase Efficiency Documenting procedures allows you to discover any unnecessary steps that you may be taking. When you record your systems, you provide yourself with the opportunity to improve the process, which can result in cutting costs and freeing up your valuable time to grow your business. It can also help you complete tasks with fewer mistakes. Taking the time to document new procedures and re-document existing procedures can provide you with opportunities to make the daily tasks more efficient and freeing up your time to focus on growing business revenue. Improve Performance Businesses that lack procedures often have employees that have their own way of handling tasks. While this can make your employees happy, it can also lead to inefficiencies. Not having documented procedures can lead your team to complete the same function in different ways. Recording the best way to perform the task will allow everyone to become more efficient in his or her jobs and improve their performance. Improve Communication One of the biggest killers of time and profit in a business is miscommunication. When there are no documented procedures in place, internal and external communication becomes a huge issue. When you have clearly written procedures, there are fewer arguments over how things should be done. Scale Your Business Having procedures in place for training new staff will reduce the stress your current staff endures when training new team members. Following documented hiring procedures will allow you to hire the right people for each job and they'll be able to follow procedures without requiring additional assistance. When your new hires receive better training, they can become more productive at their jobs. They can be trained in a way that reduces the number of mistakes being made and improve their overall performance. When your employees perform better, you can gain more sales and have fewer errors to deal with, ultimately cutting costs. Measure Your Progress While the money coming into your business is one way to measure your progress, being able to measure your marketing efforts or the development process of new products will provide you with a better picture of the health of your company. If your business is organized and has clear documentation of your procedures in place, you will be able to quickly check on these things, as well as other areas of concern and obtain real-time data on how they are doing. Meet Deadlines Without having a basic plan in place for each day, the daily activities that are needed to keep your business operating can begin to build up, eventually creating a bottleneck and bringing other essential tasks to a halt. For example, if you aren't posting your Accounts Receivables and Payables on a regular schedule, you can find yourself with a lot of work when it comes time to pay your employees or calculate taxes for the current quarter. Having an organized, well-documented system in place, ensures that you won't run into situations where you have to drop other tasks to play catch-up. Free up More Time When your business is systematic in its functions and operation, it frees up your time, so you can focus on the activities that will help your business grow. Instead of spending the afternoon responding to emails, you can work on your marketing efforts or promote your business at local business events. Business systemization provides you with the opportunity to spend your time on those endeavors without having to worry that your company operations have halted because you're away from the office. Take Time Off Being able to take time off from the business is one of the main benefits of a systemized business. When your business is systematically organized, you can take a vacation knowing that your company will still be able to run, even in your absence. Now that you’ve been shown the many benefits of having a systemized online business, it’s time to take a moment to evaluate your circumstance and make a list of what you want to accomplish with your online business. Write everything down, no matter how small, vague, or inconsequential it may seem. One of the easiest ways to become burned out before your business even has a chance to succeed is trying to master everything yourself and doing it all. No matter how good you are, this line of thinking is just not realistic. Developing a logical and workable business system will allow you to build and run a successful online business. Chapter 2: Start Here - List Your Most Recurring Tasks Whether you already own an online business and find yourself constantly exhausted from the daily work, or you are planning on opening an online business in the future, there is still plenty of time for you to get into the swing of systemizing your business. Once you start working on the steps outlined in this guide, you may begin to realize that many of them are simply common sense. Step One: Identifying Recurring Tasks To start systemizing your business, you need to begin by listing all the general functions that you do both daily and through the course of the week. It doesn't matter if you are a brick and mortar business, an online business, or a hybrid business that involves an Internet presence as well as a physical site. Here are some of the more common tasks that will apply to every business. Accounting When it comes to your business’s income and expenses, you have to create some sort of process for keeping track of what comes in and what goes out. Having business systems in place for your accounting tasks will allow you to ensure that you are profitable, as well as making sure you have the appropriate records to back up your tax filings, that you have paid your vendors, and that your customers are paying you within your set terms. It is also essential to make sure that your paying your employees on time and have the right amount of taxes being deducted from their pay. This is one of the systems in your business that you have to keep a close eye on. However, this doesn’t mean that you have to do the work yourself. Financial management systems will allow you to keep track of everything from tracking credit card purchases to invoicing clients, to following up on past-due accounts. Here are some of the other accounting systems that can be systemized.

For thousands of years, Chinese healers have continuously refined their system resulting in complex and elaborate processes aimed at channeling the proper flow of energy in our bodies to combat certain illnesses. In this beginning chapter we will be looking at how Acupuncture came into existence from its inception to current use and then into the future. The Roots of Acupuncture Although the specific date when acupuncture was first used cannot be determined, it was first introduced in the “Classic of Internal Medicine of the Yellow Emperor”, China’s earliest book on Chinese medicine dating back from 1st century BC. It is said that the teachings on this book make up the foundation of the techniques currently practiced in acupuncture today. The Rise & Fall of Traditional Chinese Medicine When modern medicine emerged and became widely used around the world, acupuncture and other forms of traditional Chinese medicine became out of place and lost its popularity, especially with its lack of scientific basis. The 20th century became a slow time for acupuncture due to new healthcare treatments introduced by the Westerners. Many doctors educated and trained under western medicine pushed to ban acupuncture as well other branches of traditional Chinese medicine because of its unconventionality and lack of scientific basis. The call to put an end to traditional Chinese medicine was stopped by the National Medical Assembly on the 17th of March, 1929. The protesters failed and their call was rejected. Even so, acupuncture and other methods of Chinese healing became overshadowed by western medicine. This continued on until 1934, at the onset of the Long March, a time of political unrest where the Communists had to flee their base due to attacks led by the Nationalists. During this time many soldiers died due to lack of medicine, and anesthetics. Surgery became impossible without the proper equipment and drugs needed. This became an opportunity for traditional Chinese doctors to revive their profession in the light of the chaos caused by the war. They were able to save numerous lives with the help of acupuncture and other traditional forms of Chinese healing. Although Western medicine may not recognize acupuncture as a science due to it being rooted in the existences of Qi and meridians (which have no scientific proof), it is hard to discount the fact the many scholars have discovered as much about the human body and its functions, as well as its reaction to stimulation and stress through the use of acupuncture. The period of the Long March paved the way for traditional Chinese medicine to make its way back into regular medical practices in China. Alongside western medicine, acupuncture and other traditional Chinese methods gave patients more options when it came to finding proper and effective treatments for their illnesses. Acupuncture Today In 1948, upon the establishment of the People's Republic of China, all divisions of traditional Chinese medicine were encouraged to be continuously cultivated and practiced by healthcare practitioners in China. Because of this, traditional Chinese medicine found its way back into hospitals by 1978, where research departments were devoted to the improvement of the many branches of traditional Chinese healing. Today, because of the long history of traditional Chinese medicine and its eventual success in the modern age, all of its branches, especially acupuncture is now widely practiced and accepted as a form of medical treatment all over the world. Chapter 2 – The Concepts Of Qi & Meridians Before we delve further into the actual treatment of Acupuncture, it is also good to know about the concepts behind it and the terminology that you will hear from your acupuncturist from time to time. Getting to know the vital information about the process will be able to prepare your mind and body for what is to come. Acupuncture is believed to help regulate the flow of Qi in the body, an important energy that aids in maintaining its natural balance and connection to the universe. The main goal of traditional Chinese medicine is to help the body achieve harmony in relation with the major organs, and harmony with the body’s external surroundings. Zang-Fu Organs, Qi, and Meridians Defined Although Qi may have different names in different parts of the world, the belief that it is an important energy that balances all living things, is one and the same. In traditional Chinese medicine, Qi is considered to be an important bodily substance along with blood and plasma, and are considered vital components that allow human life to flourish. These three important elements are what comprise the foundations that allow the “zang-fu” organs, tissues and meridians to function properly. The term zang-fu is a collective term pertaining to the twelve major organs of the body. The first six being the zang organs which include the heart, lungs, kidney, liver, spleen and pericardium, while the remaining six are called the fu organs which include the stomach, gallbladder, small and large intestine bladder, and the san jiao – a term unique to traditional Chinese medicine which pertains to a mechanism responsible for the body’s regulation of temperature . Each zang organ has a specific fu organ that complements its function. Any disharmony between the organs will greatly affect the body’s Qi and could eventually lead to sickness. Qi circulates the body through pathways known as meridians. The regular flow of Qi in our organs and tissues is the main reason why we become healthy and illness-free. An accumulation of Qi in a certain organ or area of the body could possibly lead to blockages or masses that may have an adverse effect to the whole body’s balance. The Meridian Connection Meridians make it possible for every vital organ in the body to receive the right amount of Qi it needs to function properly and sustain human life. There are twelve primary meridians (zang-fu organs) and are divided into pairs as mentioned earlier. The meridian pairings are 1) Lungs & Large intestine, 2) Stomach & Spleen, 3) Heart & Small Intestine, 4) Bladder & Kidneys, 5) Liver & Gall Bladder, and 6) Pericardium and San Jiao. Primary meridians flow throughout the body, while a separate meridian connection also flows through each zang and fu organ pair. Traditional Chinese medicine has been around for thousands of years and these terms are still being used in different branches of Chinese healing today. Scientific back-up or none, these concepts are important in understanding how various treatments work, eventually aiding you in choosing whether it’s right for you.

Is Detoxing Right For You MRR Ebook

Sample Content Preview Get ready to sweat! Your body’s sweat glands help usher out toxins from the body. So in addition to exercise, your body’s natural sweat activation system, you can also use heat like a pampering sauna (which has now been proven to help with heart health) to increase your body’s sweat potential. You’re going to have to change your habits. Everything from getting a good night’s sleep to getting up and moving more will help your body flush out toxins on a daily basis. If you smoke, you’ll need to stop. If you drink alcohol, let go of that habit during your detox stage. Even bad habits like cursing a lot can weigh heavily on your emotions and contribute to stress, which is toxic to your body because it floods your bloodstream with unhealthy hormones. Benefits You’ll Experience with a Good Detox A detox can be something you have to fully commit to – and it might feel dramatically different to you. But if you give yourself a chance to experience the full array of benefits, you’ll feel amazing and give your body a gift that contributes to your longevity. The first thing you’ll notice is that when you’re starting the detox, your energy levels might slump slightly at first. Then, they soar! Detoxing your body helps refuel your energy levels because your body isn’t having to work so hard to function. Your stress levels will plummet. Doing a total wellness detox means not only are you avoiding physical toxins, but the pollutants of your mind start to disappear as well. When your brain is functioning better and you’re sleeping better, your stress levels will naturally subside because you’ll gain clarity. You’ll notice that you get sick less often. Toxins really attack your immune system, so when you rid your body of them, your white blood cells are able to fight off invaders more easily. Weight loss will come to more easily, too. Your body won’t have to focus on cleaning your body of toxins. It will be able to burn fat with a laser-like focus. The energy increase, paired with natural shedding of pounds will really inspire you to stay on track with your detox. Things That Can Derail Your Detox Success You want to believe that when you embark on a formidable detox plan, you’ll stick to it. But there are many issues that can stand in your way, and unless you know what they are and how to manage them, you might be prone to failure. The first thing you want to watch is eating away from your home. Whether that means fast food, nice restaurants, the office workplace or a friend’s house – eating where you’re not the one fully in control can be hazardous to your detox plan. You have to understand that Sally who brings a casserole in for lunch at work, or Ed’s Chicken Shop down the street, don’t have detox plans on their minds when they’re planning their meals and menus. They’re not ensuring that your food is toxin free, made with whole grains and organic, pesticide-free fruits and vegetables. They haven’t even looked to see if the chicken they’re serving is awash in steroids, hormones and antibiotics. This means you have to be very diligent about planning your meals away from home. If you’re serious about detoxing, then that doesn’t mean you flub a few meals. Your body will be bouncing back during this flush and re-introducing toxins periodically keeps it from achieving its goals of better health. Mindful eating and mindfulness in general will help keep your stomach and other organs from having to work overtime for you. Take your time eating, enjoy the meal and flavors and give your brain time to recognize your fullness cues. Throughout your day, be mindful whenever you’re driving, working, interacting with others and spending time alone. When someone snaps at you, take a moment to think about what’s possibly going on in their world to cause them to lash out – it helps you not take things so personally and your stress hormones won’t flood into your bloodstream, wrecking your detox plan. Make sure you get the minimum exercise requirements into your day. Remember, sweat helps your body flush the toxins out. Shoot for a minimum of 30 minutes of sweat-inducing movement, like cardio. Rinse them off quickly in the shower so that they’re not re-absorbed through the skin. Up your intake of water. Water should be one of the only things you drink on a detox plan. Your body needs it to help almost every organ function, and most of us don’t get nearly enough. You’ll notice a change in the color of your urine when your body is getting plenty of water. It will go from yellow to clear, usually in a couple of days. Keep a glass of water nearby and sip it throughout your day to stay hydrated and give your organs the fluid they need to get rid of toxins. Try to get your family onboard for better health. They don’t have to be on the exact same detox plan as you, but try to replace the unhealthy, processed foods and toxic cleaners and beauty products with those that are not harmful to anyone living with you. Detoxing is a great way to lose weight, clear out brain fog, distress and increase your longevity by preventing disease. It’s not something that’s easy and enjoyable right at first, but most people who commit to it, eventually crave the detox lifestyle because they feel so much better while doing it.

A recent survey highlighted that about a third of all Americans are actively trying to eliminate Gluten from their diet. This is an awful lot of people when we think about the fact that there are over 325,000,000 people in the US. But why are they making such a fuss? Let us take some time to examine a few of the reasons so many people have decided to live Gluten Free. 1. Celiac Disease Studies have indicated that the number of individuals who currently suffer from Celiac Disease is on the rise. Although no official numbers have been published, it is estimated that well over 1% of the world’s population suffer from this disease. Celiac Disease is especially common among the elderly. Even worse is the fact that many cases of individuals who suffer from this disease have gone undiagnosed. In fact, about 80% of the people who suffer from Celiac Disease are not even aware that they have it. But what exactly is Celiac Disease you may ask? As highlighted in the previous chapter, Gluten is composed of two main proteins, Gliadin and Glutenin. Individuals with Celiac Disease react negatively to the Gliadin component. Celiac is classified as an autoimmune disease. That is because the immune system of these individuals will confuse Gluten with something dangerous like some sort of Bacteria. As a result, their bodies try to defend themselves against the Gluten and end up attacking itself in the process. This attack can result in the degeneration of the intestinal wall and can be life threatening if not treated. Other symptoms of Celiac Disease include: Nutritional deficiencies Anaemia Chronic fatigue Vomiting Abdominal bloating Abdominal pain Diarrhea Digestive issues Decreased appetite Itchy skin rashes Irritability Depression Osteoporosis Damaged tooth enamel Joint pain Acid reflux 2. Gluten Sensitivity Others, who do not suffer from Celiac Disease, have chosen to avoid Gluten or cut it out of their diet altogether because they suffer from Gluten Sensitivity. These individuals may have even gotten a negative result when they did a blood test for Celiac but simply do not feel well when they consume foods that contain Gluten. They may even suffer from symptoms that are quite similar to those of someone with Celiac Disease. Suffering from Gluten Sensitivity means that the individual reacts negatively to Gluten even though their immune system is not attacking their bodies, as is the case with Celiac Disease. The symptoms of Gluten Sensitivity are usually not related to the gastrointestinal tract or cause any damage to the intestines at all. On the contrary, these individuals are more likely to experience fatigue, joint pain, abdominal pain or even ‘brain fog.’ Thankfully, Gluten sensitivity is not life threatening. 3. Gluten Intolerance Gluten intolerance is also not life threatening. It will, however, cause quite a bit of discomfort. Individuals with this condition simply cannot process or digest foods that contain Gluten. This can be for a variety of reasons. That individual’s body may simply be unable to produce the enzyme needed to digest foods that contain Gluten. Symptoms of Gluten Intolerance are usually digestive related and may include gas, bloating, diarrhea or nausea. Just think about the result of consuming dairy when you’re Lactose Intolerant. You should now be able to appreciate that living Gluten Free is a very serious matter for some individuals and it is not a decision to be taken lightly. You will be able to appreciate the seriousness of the matter especially if you suffer from these symptoms as well. Chapter 3 of this book will highlight how to determine if you have any of the serious Gluten related conditions that have been mentioned. Chapter 3 – How is Celiac Disease, Gluten Sensitivity and Gluten Intolerance Diagnosed The major issue with diagnosing whether you have Celiac Disease, Gluten Sensitivity or Gluten Intolerance is that the symptoms look a lot like those you would have if you suffered from other diseases. And because Gluten is included in such a wide variety of foods, it is easy to confuse these ailments with your body simply reacting negatively to a particular type of food. That is why I would never encourage anyone to try and diagnose themselves. Celiac Disease can prove fatal if left untreated and if the appropriate steps are not taken to alleviate its effects. Although Gluten Sensitivity and Intolerance are not life-threatening conditions, ignoring the symptoms can cause harm to your body in the long run. Leave the testing to the professionals. Think about how dangerous it would be if you ‘under diagnosed’ yourself as being Gluten Intolerant when you actually have Celiac Disease. Despite the fact that you will be leaving the final diagnosis to the professionals, it still wouldn’t hurt to learn more about the process. Diagnosing Celiac Disease A blood test is often used to confirm whether your symptoms are as a result of Celiac Disease. Remember that Celiac Disease results when your body confuses the protein in Gluten known as Gliadin as a dangerous substance and attacks it. Your Immune system is designed to produce a protein known as an antibody in order to fight off any organism your body suspects to be dangerous. This is also the case when you suffer from Celiac Disease. Your body will produce specific antibodies in order to defend itself against Gluten. Blood tests are thus performed to test if your body is producing the antibodies that are specific to fighting Gluten. Doctors often test for high levels of the antibody known as Immunoglobulin A (IgA) anti-tissue transglutaminase. Diagnosing Gluten Sensitivity or Gluten Intolerance One of the easiest ways for doctors to determine if you suffer from Gluten Sensitivity or Gluten Intolerance is to ask you to eliminate Gluten from your diet for a period of about 30 days. If your symptoms disappear or become less significant during the time you avoid Gluten, and these symptoms reappear when you reintroduce Gluten to your diet, then it is obvious that your body is reacting negatively to gluten. A blood test can also be used to determine if you suffer from either one of these conditions. Deficiencies of the Medical System Gluten was not a very big deal ten years ago. Doctors are far more concerned about improving their technique for diagnosing Cancer and Sexually Transmitted Diseases. Far less time is devoted to researching negative responses to consuming Gluten. As a result, even well-meaning doctors simply confuse the symptoms of Celiac or Gluten intolerance with something else. Testing for Celiac is probably going to be one of the last things your Doctor will recommend. Additionally, there has been a notable amount of cases of Doctors under diagnosing their patients’ symptoms. Writing blog posts is just one type of content creation. You can use a blog to build your email list, generate leads or sell products. There are a lot of benefits offered by content marketing, including the following 9 rewards this marketing strategy offers. 1. Improved Sales and Profits – It doesn't really matter what type of market you are in, at some point you're going to have to make a profit to stay in business. A smart content marketing strategy identifies what types of content produce the most sales and profits for your company. 2. You are Perceived as an Authority in Your Field – Social media posts, Amazon Kindle e-books, physical books, podcast episodes and dozens of other types of content boost the perception that you are a leader in your field. People prefer to do business with the best of the best, and smart content marketing places that desirable tag on you rather than your competition. 3. You Solve Big Problems for Your Prospects – When you answer the biggest questions on the minds of your prospects regarding your marketplace or niche, you make lifelong fans. You can use content to solve the big problems that keep your prospects up at night, and when you do so, both you and your prospects benefit. 4. Improved Search Engine Rankings and More Traffic – Keeping the search engines happy is important for generic, free traffic. The less money you have to pay for traffic, the more capital you can direct towards other areas of your business. Value-based, high-quality content can enrich your readers and viewers while also answering the needs of search engine algorithms, and improved traffic is the result. 5. Effective Data Collection – Polls, surveys, and contests are perfect for finding out what's on the minds of your prospects. Blog and social media posts generate comments that reveal important information that can help you grow your business. These are just a few ways that content creates relevant data you can use to achieve a number of business goals. 6. You Make a Good Connection – When you connect deeply with your audience, they remember you. People do business with individuals and companies they like, respect, and admire. Content can help you make a good connection with your prospects, and ongoing communication can mean a customer for life. 7. Build your Email List – Building and nurturing a list of contacts is extremely important, whether you have a big or small business. Podcast episodes, YouTube videos, opt-in bribes and Facebook advertisements are just a few types of content that allow you to build an email list, so you can continue to market to your prospects. 8. Generate Leads – Without new prospects, your business won't grow. Landing pages, autoresponder sequences, blog posts and other similar types of content can generate leads to keep your sales funnel filled. 9. Client Retention and Satisfaction – You should always be working to attract new customers. Your current customers should not be ignored, however. Someone who has already done business with you is more likely to make additional purchases in the future. Communicating with your customers also minimizes returns and boosts positive word of mouth advertising. Building Your Content Marketing Blueprint This chapter will outline the steps you need to follow to create your content marketing blueprint. There is no one-size-fits-all, cookie-cutter strategy that works for every company or entrepreneur. You may not use types of content that are absolutely essential to another business. This means your formula for creating and presenting content to grow your company and reach your business goals is going to be unique. To discover a successful content marketing plan, you need to answer a series of questions. You also need to evaluate your content from time to time, to see if it is producing the intended results. The first step to developing a successful content marketing blueprint is to answer the following 5 groups of questions. 1. Niche down to discover exactly who your prospects are. Who is my laser targeted audience? What does my "perfect prospect" look like? What is the narrow consumer base that can benefit most from your products and services? If you go too broad you can get lost in a sea of competition, and the more narrowly you focus your content marketing efforts, the better your results. 2. Identify the story of your brand, your content marketing mission statement. Are my products or services unique? What do I offer that is different from everything else that is already out there? What makes my business a smarter choice for my prospects than my competitors? What value do I offer my customers? What are the big problems that keep my prospective customers up at night, and how can I solve them? 3. Before you start writing blog posts and making videos, ask yourself why you are creating content and how it will help your audience. Why are you writing blog posts, creating videos and spending time on social media? How are your different pieces of content going to benefit your readers, viewers or listeners? Before you begin churning out content, you need to have a targeted goal or result you hope that content can help you reach. 4. How are you going to create and distribute your content? What specific schedule are you going to use so you are consistently developing and sharing valuable, high-quality content? This is the "how" of the content marketing process. What specific scheduling blueprint or formula do you need to create so your content helps you achieve your business goals, and so that same content becomes invaluable to your prospective clients and current customers? 5. Measure and evaluate, make any necessary changes. Is your landing page converting at a high rate? Are your email open rates where they need to be? Are your blog posts generating the amount of generic traffic you had hoped for? Is your video sales letter turning enough tire kickers into buyers to produce the profits you need? Here is where you gauge how well your content is performing, so you can focus on what is working and retool or abandon content marketing strategies that are underperforming. The next 5 chapters are devoted individually to each of these 5 crucial steps in creating your unique content marketing blueprint. Who are the Individuals That Make up Your Ideal Audience? What is your target market? Who does your business cater to? If you are just starting a business, what is the demographic or group of people you want to go after? To create an effective content marketing strategy, you have to understand who you are trying to reach. Once you have a clear picture of your perfect prospect, then you can develop the type of content that individual wants to listen to, read or view. Millennials vastly prefer video over text-based content. They also expect marketing messages to be short, to the point and easy to digest. Online and off, the over-50 crowd is more receptive to longer, text-based pieces of content. People of different cultures, geographical regions, genders and levels of wealth will additionally have different needs as far as content is concerned.

Perhaps your click-through rate was very poor, or the number of views your poster generated wasn't what you expected. Just like any other piece of con-tent used to market your business, creating an eyeball-grabbing headline is often the most important part of the process. Why do you click on a particular link when you are searching online? When you Google a search term or phrase, what makes you choose one result over another? In many cases, a good headline is the reason you end up where you do on the In-ternet. The following 7 headline formulas have been proven to work on multiple types of media, and they can get your digital posters clicked on and read, rather than passed over. 1. Add a Number - Make sure you use the number instead of spelling it out. "The Top 7 Backyard Garden Herbs" will usually outperform "The Top Seven Back-yard Garden Herbs," and there is something about numbers which automati-cally gives a perception of truth and reliability. Studies show that odd numbers like 5, 7, 11 and 21 frequently outperform even numbers such as 6, 8 or 12. 2. Use "How to" to Start Your Headline – People turn to the web for answers. They want to understand the right way to perform a process or get an in-tended set of results. "How to" headlines have worked in marketing messages for centuries, and they still work well on the Internet for getting your content read. 3. Mention the Main Benefit – Your digital poster should be attempting to tell one story or send one message. What is that message? What is the big benefit someone will receive when they check out your poster? State that benefit simply and quickly in your headline. You don't want to bury the lead, so the most important information for your prospects that rewards them for reading your poster should be stated in the headline. 4. Ask a Question That Makes Your Reader Think - One of the best performing print advertisements of all time began with a headline which asked the simple question, "Do you make these mistakes in English?" Asking a provocative ques-tion in your headline is a great way to grab attention and get people thinking. 5. Give a Command - Tell someone what to do in your headline. People like to be given direction online. A direct statement could be as simple as, "Turn Your Blog into a Cash Machine." This leads to the creation of a simple and direct call to action, and your potential reader knows exactly what your digital poster is going to deliver. 6. Use a Testimonial – Make sure to put the testimonial in quotes and make it short. Here's a good example. "This online poster creation software is fast, easy to use and free. I love it!" For someone searching the web for that partic-ular type of software, that is a headline which can't be passed up. 7. Offer an Incentive – A headline that offers a 50% discount or a free report or product is going to get a lot of clicks. Just make sure you follow up by providing the relevant content and call to action. 7 Tips for Great Digital Poster Ideas Digital posters are everywhere these days. A condensed version of an infographic, an online poster gets your message across quickly. Posters are perfect for social media marketing campaigns, and you can even print out your posters and use them in your off-line, real-world marketing efforts. When your poster has a strong headline, great copy and content, good visuals and an irresistible call to action, you can accomplish just about any business goal. The problem a lot of online marketers have is that they don't know how to come up with ideas for poster creation. What should they put on a digital poster? What should they avoid? Can they condense existing content or should they create an entirely new topic or focal point? If you are having problems coming up with ideas for your next online poster, the following 7 tips are here to bail you out. 1. Repurpose Your Best Blogs – Find out which of your blog posts are the most popular with your audience. Condense that information into bullet points and sub-headers that can make up your online poster content. This guarantees you already have a built-in audience that can't wait to check out your poster. 2. Turn to Industry Trends – Google Trends is a free tool offered by Big G that keeps you up to date and current on the hottest trends in your industry. Topi-cal digital posters that deal with themes which are hot right now often enjoy very high click-through rates. 3. Keep up with the Kardashians – If you are cringing after reading that intro, you are probably in the majority. The idea here is to keep an eye on current pop-culture news as it relates to sports, fashion, entertainment, and music. Then find a way to relate the topic to your business. 4. Spy on Your Competitors - Who is the premier player in your industry? What kind of things is that company talking about? You should be reading the blogs of your major competitors to know exactly what your competition is doing. Fa-mous war general Sun Tsu said, "Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer." Joining the email lists of your competitors is a simple way to know what those companies think is important to talk about. 5. Go with the Seasonal Flow – One of the easiest ways to come up with an idea for your digital poster is to consider the season. Is beach season right around the corner? Has spring just sprung? Is the new year rolling around once again? When all else fails, you can often find some seasonal influence you can tie into a marketing campaign, and also implement into your poster design. 6. Take a Survey – Why not use your poster to ask your audience what it is look-ing for? The digital poster format works perfectly for asking a series of ques-tions, and you benefit from the fact that people love giving their opinions. 7. Announce a Contest or Giveaway – There is a good chance you have some type of content that you can give away. Perhaps you have designed an online course that people rave about. Consider giving that course away as an incen-tive for people following the call to action on your poster. You can alternately host a contest that rewards your prospects with substantial prizes.

They socialized at Church and were introduced at dances. They met at local functions such as fairs, hunts and fields. Large family gatherings were the perfect times for people to meet. Christmas was one such time. Many families exchanged gifts and visited each other’s homes. The young people met in supervised situations, bargains were struck between the parents and events proceeded from there. Courting was all about finding a mate. It meant commitment and marriage. Marriage from the earliest times was always the final product of two people courting. Absent was the modern concept of true love. Marriage rarely relied on concepts of love and soul mates. It was an economic and social contract between two people. It was for the betterment of their lives and that of their families. The family played an integral role in all marriages. It did not matter whether you were upper, middle, working or lower class. Marriage was the ultimate goal – a goal in which you strived to improve your lot in life and, therefore, the lot of your family. For some, it meant an improvement in their social status; for others, it was the uniting of two families for political and economic reasons. Some parents gained a direct and immediate benefit through either selling their daughter into marriage or procuring a dowry or dowry price. Even when the Victorian’s began to finalize the concept of a woman’s proper sphere and a male’s role in society, the rationale behind courtship remained – marriage with the accompanying economic and or social betterment. No matter who you were, you did not want to “marry down”. While it may be romantic to fall in love with some one of a different class, it was never realistic to expect it to work in real life. The position of parents on the importance of marriage did not change over the 19th century. Marriage was the only possible outcome of courtship. What did vary was the amount of direct supervision of the two young people. Until the 1830s, the shape of courtship remained less rigid. While the role of the parents was always strong, their children had more freedom of movement than in successive generations. In part, this was the result of increased implementation of a gender-specific view of men and women’s roles. As the Victorian Age took hold, women assumed a very strict position within society. It was a view that held them to be naïve, innocent, chaste and innocent (i.e. stupid or uniformed) in the ways of the world. Men were morally corrupt and given over to fleshly desires. A strong woman had to restrain and retrain his manly urges. Nevertheless, remaining consistent in this stricter form of gendered society were the goals of courtship: marriage and children, economic and social status. At the back of these Victorian concepts were the parents. They held a very formal role. They supervised all aspects of the courtship. Duennas or parental supervision was at an all time high. While courtship was intended to end with marriage, it could not do so if the parents refused your suit. The young man did not ask the object of his affections for her hand in marriage. He turned to the parents, particularly the father. During this era, the father had control of the family. This was firmly ensconced in the legal system. The father was the owner of everything. His wife and his children were his property. The arrival of the industrial revolution in the 19th century began to alter the overall concept of courtship in specific ways. Technology began to liberate women. It sent them off into the factories. It created new classes of people. This included the poor woolen factory girls as well as a white-collar group of clerks, secretaries and telephone operators. Many of these jobs became female ghettos. Nevertheless, the arrival of this type of work liberated many girls and men from some of the formalities of courtship. Women began to be more independent of their parents, although many did not. With many living away from their parents, the rules of courtship had to change. Those who stayed at home would experience the stereotypical supervised concept. Parents would be there while the young man came calling. Some parents and young women, however, did not have or could not afford a separate parlor or living room. As a result, they took their courtship to the streets. Public spaces became the abode of courtship. This use of open spaces soon caught on with all levels of society. Even the upper classes adopted it, finding it oh so droll. Nevertheless, courtship retained strong moral precepts. You courted only to get married. Sex was not a part of the courtship. Even during the loosening morals of WWI, premarital sex was not part of the normal form of courtship. The end of WWI saw a shift in moral values and concepts of courtship. In fact, during the so-called “Roaring Twenties,” the world erupted in a shift away from formal courtship and previously acceptable behavior. While gender roles remained in place, the ties loosened. This, too a large extent, was bought about by WWI. It had decreased the male population while altering their perception of life. Women had gained certain types of independence. They could, in some places, vote. They could certainly now work in a wider variety of jobs. Wars had also meant supporting the troops. It had meant attending functions without parents, unsupervised. Dancing with perfect military strangers was not condemned. It was a patriotic duty. So, too, was kissing them goodbye at the station. The period following WWI was also part of a new technical revolution. Increasing mobility came through the mass production of the automobile. Cars became available to everyone. The cinema or movies became increasingly popular. As a result, men now picked up women from their home or apartment and they “went out.” “Going out” soon became the norm. Courtship vanished. In its place came dating. Along with the notion of unsupervised meetings, came another concept. Dating was not necessarily a serious matter. Marriage was not always to be the bi-product of dating. Dating was to show how popular you were. The successful boy or girl, man or woman, had lots-of-dates. These could be to a dance, a movie or a picnic. The Great Depression and World War II only continued to expand this new form of courtship. While some parents continued to retain tight control over the process, most lost control. At work were economic and social factors. During the 1930s, the increased push to keep children and young adults in school longer produced the beginning of another major factor in the dating equation – teenagers. This is not to say there were no rules or similarities between courtship and dating. Ultimately, the goal for both was to produce a marriage. It was the sole goal of courting. In the 1930s, this became part of the “going steady” concept of dating. Going steady meant you abandoned the dating game to hang out with only one partner. By 1945, dating had become a way of life. Parents stayed at home while their children went dancing at schools or dancehalls. Adults also became part of the dating game. World War II left widows. It also produced instances of divorce. Marriages made hastily under the threat of death fell apart during and after the cessation of hostilities. By the 1950s, dating was the norm for every male and female in non-traditional societies. The youth movement of the 1960s continued to alter the form as did successive generations. Today, while there are still traditional and arranged marriages, the majority of North Americans and Europeans date different people before deciding to settle down with one. Marriage is no longer the be-all and end-all of all pursuits. Dating is now also available in different forms. Instead of matchmakers, you have online dating services. There are also various ways to meet people. These include speed dating, chat lines and specific single clubs. All provide their successes and failures as people search for the ideal date. Many people reject if for being this. Yet, there is much to be said for etiquette as it pertains to manners. If your first date is to be successful, manners and dating need to go hand-in-hand. This does not mean knowing when or if to open a door. It also does not imply you have to know which fork is what or how to give the right toast. What you need to be aware of are certain aspects of choosing and arranging your first date. This can be difficult because dating etiquette often involves unsaid rules. They vary from situation to situation. For instance, theoretically, it is fine to ask out the best friend of your former girlfriend. This would seem to present no problem if your ex has moved on or the split was amicable. Do not do it. It will cause nothing but grief. Wait until at least your ex has settled down with one partner or moved on to have dated one, two, or even three. It depends upon several factors. These include the situation between you and your ex, her relationship to her “best friend” and whether you want to remain in one piece. This is not the only instance when dating etiquette can confuse even the experts. It is also a reason why no specific dating book or expert can tell you everything you need to know to obtain the first date. There are other factors. These include the individual personalities involved. Dating is about knowing yourself and others. You have to be aware of who you are and how you present yourself to the world around you. For some people, self-analysis is not an easy task. They delude themselves. They have no idea how they appear to other people. Worst still, they have no idea who they really are. Successful dating demands you know who you are and how others see you.

It’s a bad start… Worse is that sometimes the site owner will do so little research into their niche that they’ll give me titles that are factually inaccurate. I had a health blog recently that asked me to write about ‘The 16 Symptoms of Prediabetes’. Well seeing as prediabetes is asymptomatic, that’s pretty difficult. Another recently asked me to write about how you could build great biceps with press ups. Well, seeing as press ups target the triceps and pecs and not the biceps… You get the idea! So why do these companies pick those titles? Simple answer: they either saw them on another site, they did some keyword research and found that other people were searching for the topics, or they pulled them out of the air without giving it any thought. Choosing a title based on a keyword is the most popular example and it seems like a good idea. After all, that means people will search for it and they’ll find it. Small Businesses Are Not Exempt! But perhaps you’re reading this as a small business owner and thinking it doesn’t apply to you! After all, if you don’t write content for a blog then you can’t be guilty of generic titles. But the same cynical approach and lack of care and attention regularly goes into business efforts. In fact, may businesses are even more guilty of this. Take for example those businesses that want to promote themselves online through social media and do so by writing the most generic posts imaginable. I worked in marketing for an EPOS provider (Electronic Point Of Sale), which essentially means that it built till systems for other companies. They insisted that every post I should make on their blog had to read like this: “Our EPOS system is the best in the industry… bar none!” “Find out why companies LOVE our new EPOS system!” Again, makes sense on paper. After all, it’s a business site, so of course it’s going to promote its products. When they eventually did get me to write on their blog, they had me writing posts on EPOS systems and EPOS systems alone. The site itself was bland, white and dark blue and with zero character or anything to set it apart. Visitors visiting the site would have this single message communicated to them: “This is a business site. A business site with a low budget.” Not good. Why This is So Wrong and What the Alternative Looks Like I’m not saying that you’re guilty of this, I’m saying there’s a chance you might be somewhat guilty of this. You have approached your business like a business person: you’ve chosen a niche, looked into ‘what’s hot’ and you’ve paid the minimum to get something set up. Now you’re going to promote your ass off and make sure that people see what you’re selling. So, what’s wrong with that? Simple: it doesn’t build an audience. Remember how I told you to look at the most popular brands in your niche? The most popular blogs and sellers? How are they different from the approach that we have just described? Most likely you’ll find that they have beautifully designed websites. The sites will likely use crisp, HD graphics with vibrant colors and big images. They probably have large UI elements, a simple navigation and a strong logo and colorscheme that brings everything together. Your audience should land on your site and think that this is a site with a big budget, that really cares about its customers and that knows what it’s doing. You need to land on a site and think that it is has some kind of passion for what it is doing. And you need to be able to see and feel the investment. Think about the sites that you have subscribed to yourself. These are likely sites that somehow set themselves apart with an interesting message, unique content and a great look. They most likely are not sites that were set up with the sole intention of making a quick buck. Would you really follow a social media channel that did nothing but write about how good its product was? What would be in it for you? Would you really subscribe to the mailing list of a website that was already spamming you before you even got past the first page? The answer is no. And this reveals the simple truth: if you want to build an audience, you can’t rush it. You can’t take short cuts. You can’t cheat. The only method for building a massive audience that is worth pursuing is to create a channel or brand that is: - Unique - Interesting - High quality - High value - Professional And if you’re going to do all that, then you need to have passion for the topic you’ve chosen. You need to understand the subject. And you need to love doing what you’re doing enough to actually put all that time and effort in. Because you know what? Building an audience is not something you accomplish overnight. Again, ask any big name vlogger, blogger or business owner. They will all tell you that they started out writing blogs that no-one read, selling products that barely anyone bought or making videos that no one watched. The only thing that kept them going at this point was genuine passion for what they were doing. Here's another thing to consider: if you create a fitness site and you have no interest in fitness, then the content that you create is not going to make any big impact. You’re not going to be able to impress the target audience that you’re trying to engage. Think about it: if you have a fitness website then who is that going to be aimed at predominantly? Fitness enthusiasts. So, if you write a poorly researched blog post on press ups, what value do you think it’s possibly going to offer to someone who has been working out for years? Someone who perhaps trains daily? Of course, there’s also a specific blueprint to follow which we’ll be looking at in this book. But it’s that passion that will help you to execute said plan and that will keep you working through it. And it’s the passion that is going to help you do it well.

Many of these things are simple, although they do require some advance planning and generally, a little forethought when it comes to managing how the plants will work best depending on direction of sun, etc. It is advisable to seek professional advice like for example a landscaper. Walk through the garden and ask advice to find out which areas in the garden are suitable for vegetables, flowers, herbs, trees etcetera. The other option that you can try before investing your money in a landscaper is to visit your local nursery. The staff will be able to give you valuable information on what plants flourish in the area and the seasons that are the most suitable for the different types of vegetables and plants. Start planning the garden according to the data you gather along the way. Make sure the area you choose for the vegetable garden is not too big and easy to maintain. Also opt for pathways between the various types of vegetables to prevent people from harming the crops. Place sheets of plastic underneath the pathway to stop weeds from growing. Plant the taller crops at the back of the vegetable garden and the herbs in between the different types of vegetables If your space is limited use containers to plant your herbs and vegetables in. Although you have a variety of size options you only require 62 to 64 square feet (6 to 8 sq meters) to feed a family of four. Most square foot gardeners use raised beds. They place the beds in squares. On top of the beds a grid is placed to cordon off the squares. The beds are permanent fixtures raised above the ground. There is no digging involved. Make sure when you place the beds that the area gets a lot of sunshine. The soil mixture plays an important role. If you are not sure how to prepare the soil you are able to buy pre mixed organic soil. The soil consists out of 1/3 peat moss, 1/3 vermiculite and 1/3 compost. Square foot gardening is an intensive gardening method that gives extraordinary results. Plant the vegetables, flowers and herbs in the squares. Keep the soil moist whilst the seeds start to grow. Do not let water drip on the plants itself to avoid plant diseases and fungus from growing. The moist soil needs to gradually dry. The best time to do this is during the day. The nice thing about square foot gardening is that you do not need a big area to establish the garden. This makes the entire organic garden process fun for any person that does not have green fingers. Start off small and expand as you gain organic gardening knowledge and skill. Chapter 6 Synergestic Planting Synergistic planting is an organic gardening system established by Emelia Hazelip. The entire system evolves where plants naturally fertilize the soil without intervention. The synergistic agriculture principles are: No chemical treatments; usage of organic or chemical fertilizers; compacting soil or cultivation are allowed. There are a few steps to consider when you do the layout for synergistic planting: • Raised beds will prevent compacting of soil due to the fact they are never trend on as well as the covering mulch prevents the rain from forming a crust. • Use biodegradable material to create a mulch cover for example cardboard. The mulch helps to get rid of the original vegetation. Remember if you plant in the spring it is important to open up the mulch so that soil can warm up. • Do not only plant vegetables and herbs, plant a variety of flowers throughout the garden. • After harvesting leave the parts of plant that is not being used in the ground. Plants need to finish their life-cycle to activate the synergistic process. Synergistic gardening is a skill that you can only learn by trial and error. If you want the gardening method to work you need to gain knowledge by doing research on the matter. The main factor to keep in mind is that the entire process needs to be natural. Let nature take its course for example if you plant onions, leeks or garlic on the side of the garden beds. They act as pest controllers.
