Sample Content Preview Message #5: Sent 4 days apart In this message, let them know how you can help them solve their issue or improve something in their life. Tell them the system you are using and the support group that you have. Let them evaluate if your solution is the right one for them. Then, leave a link to your website and encourage them to contact you. Or leave a link to the offer that will benefit them. Message #6: Sent 2 days apart In this message, put a few testimonials from happy customers or members that have seen success with your product or the offer you're promoting. Make it a point that they could potentially have the same results. Again, leave a link to your site or the offer, and encourage them to contact you. Message #7: Sent 3 days apart In this message, ask their feedback about the offers you've been making and/or your business. Mention that you're doing a survey of why some people are not open to this type of offer or solution or why they are hesitant to join. You'll get some good feedback of the concerns that other people have about your program and if these concerns arise again, you can expect some answers that you can give to your prospects. Lastly, leave a link to your website, the offer, and anything else like your social networks, and encourage them to connect with you. These are just sample email templates that you can write and upload them into your autoresponder system. They don't have to be in an order like above and they don't have to be only 7 of them. You can write as many as you want about any subjects that you like. However, observe that in every email message that you write, you want to end with a call of action for your prospects to visit your website or contact you for more information. A good website, with direct-marketing sales copy, can do a lot of back end converting for you, and potentially make you a ton of sales Now that you have your messages uploaded into your autoresponder system, you want to let a lot of people know about your mailing list. But, before that, you need to give a reason why these people should request more information from you and be in your mailing list. Building Your Email List (To Use Those Follow Ups) Some companies decide to send customers a free newsletter to get an email list. But there are other ways to collect email addresses. Sometimes having a newsletter just doesn’t make any sense for your company. For instance, if you happen to sell dishwashers, how much information could you send your customer, daily, on dishwashers. So, instead here are a few other options for increasing your email list. You could run a contest. The puzzle, game or task should be easy and straightforward so that you don’t frustrate the customer and you still get their email address in the end. A great incentive to collect email addresses would be a free eBook. People love getting free stuff, especially eBooks that interest them. Remember, it doesn’t have to be 100 pages long; five to ten pages will work fine. Surveying the customer is a great way to collect email addresses. You can find out what the customer likes/dislikes, and what they have problems with or need solutions for. Advertise your opt-in offer in an e-zine or classified ad. It actually doesn’t cost tons of money and if you find the right place to advertise, you could see dramatic results. Email signatures, or electronic signatures, is a three to six line footer that you can add to the bottom of each email message you send out with your name, company and a free report with a link attached. You will be surprised how many visitors you get this way.

Sample Content Preview Achieving The Appropriate Tone in Email Are your email messages too casual? Or, are they too formal? Are you using the appropriate tone? Email messages are different from typed letters. You can’t be “too” formal in a letter. In an email, too formal looks silly. What’s the appropriate tone for an email? -- slightly more casual than a letter. Yet, there’s a fine line between being too relaxed and too stiff. To some degree, the attitude and culture of your company will dictate the amount of formality necessary. For example, floral shops and hotels won’t be as formal as a bank or law firm. As you compose the message, consider the person who will be reading it. Know your audience. The job gets easier when you’re replying to a message. You can already see the tone of the sender. All you have to do is match that tone. When in doubt, strive for a tone that is professional, yet conversational. One easy way to achieve a conversational tone is to use contractions (I’ll, we’ll, he’s, she’s). Also, it’s acceptable to use pronouns. In conversation, we use the words “I, we, you.” So, use these in emails. For example, “It is suggested . . . “ sounds very stiff. Instead, try, “I suggest . . .” Be careful with the pronoun “I.” Using too many can be perceived as egotistical. You don’t want to appear pompous. If you notice an abundance of “I’s,” try rewriting every other sentence. This will create variety, and that pesky personal pronoun won’t be as obvious. Email is a great form of communicating. Just remember that your old typedletter writing style should be adapted so your messages don’t sound stilted and stiff. On the other hand, email is NOT a license to be sloppy. The most effective email messages find a happy balance. They have a conversational tone. As a whole, just always remember that your e-mails should be about the subscriber and the customer. Focus on referring to them as “YOU” and sharing with them how your email content can benefit THEM. Don't mention what's in it for you, just for the reader. A Healthy Dose of Trust Works Wonder With Your List While the rest of the world have developed many barriers and protection to keep their email accounts spam-free, there are also those that sign up to receive emails that promote various products, and services and their sites. This is mainly because these opt in subscribers wants to know more about what these sites are offering and can be beneficial for them. They expect to be kept posted on what they are interested in and whats new in the market or field they have chosen. Businesses would be so lucky to have these kinds of customers, the basic element needed to get these type of people is, trust. When your customers trust you, they will reward you with their loyalty. Many internet users have gone to great lengths in protecting their email accounts from spam mail. Some free-mail internet providers and internet service providers offer spam protection while there are also some internet based companies that screen your mails for you. With an opt in subscriber mail list, the email you send containing your promotional materials such as newsletters, catalogs and marketing media will go through. Your intended recipient will be able to read and view what you have sent, making it a successful transfer of information. To be able to be allowed to do so, you will need permission from your recipient, to get this permission; you need to be able to get their trust. With the great lack of disregard for privacy in the internet, getting the trust of an internet user, you do not personally know is a big achievement. To build a good opt in subscriber list you need people to trust you, for a faster and quicker build up, you need to get your opt in subscribers to trust you quickly. The faster you build your opt in list the faster word about your site and company gets to be spread. The bigger the scope of your opt in list the more traffic you get, which means more profits. Its easy maths if you think about it. Getting the numbers is not that simple though, or maybe it is? Getting the trust of your clientele should not be so hard, especially if you do have a legitimate business. Getting your customers trust should be based upon your expertise. People rely on other people who know what they are talking about. Gather all the knowledge and information about your business. Frankly, if you decide to go into a business, you most probably already have an interest in it. Like how many basketball players become coaches, you don’t really venture into something you don’t have any interest in. Show your clients that you know what you are talking about. Provide them with helpful hints and guidelines that pertain to what you are selling. Talk about how to install a roof if you're selling roofing materials or provide articles on insurance settlements if you are a settlement lawyer. You do not have to be a big corporation to make use of an opt in list. If your customers see you as someone who knows what he is doing and saying, they will trust you quickly. Be true to your customers, if you want to hype up your products and services, provide guarantees. The more satisfied customers you get, the bigger probability there is, that they will recommend you. Generally, people will trust someone they know, when that someone recommends you, then you’re a shoo-in. They will go to your site and check it for themselves and be given a chance to experience what the others have experienced from you, so make sure to be consistent in the service you provide. Another tip in getting a customer to trust you quickly is to provide them an escape hatch. Show them that you are not there to trap them. Keep a clean list that would enable them to unsubscribe anytime they want. Elaborate your web form by providing information on how to unsubscribe from the list. Guarantee them that they can let go of the service when ever they want to. Many are wary that they may be stuck for life and would have to abandon their email accounts when they get pestered with spam.

Sample Content Preview Credibility How long the company has been in business is a HUGE factor to take into account. The longer the company has been in business the better rapport they have built with ESPs like Gmail, Hotmail, and Yahoo. This simply means that the probability of your email getting marked as spam will be greatly decreased by sending emails from their server. When picking an email marketing platform look for how long a company has been in business first. Don’t choose any provider that has not been in business for at least the last 7 years. Deliverability Perhaps this is the most important specification when deciding which platform to go with. The effectiveness of your email marketing efforts will be greatly dependent on your ability to land in your subscriber’s inbox. A company that has been in business for a while will have pretty good deliverability. However, you want to browse around their site and ensure that they promise at least a 99% deliverability rate. Increase your deliverability by choosing to have all your subscribers double-opt in. User Interface This one is often overlooked but you can tell a lot about the quality of service to expect from the quality of a service provider’s website. If the website is unappealing and hard to navigate before you sign up, chances are creating and sending emails will be a clunky process. Ideally you want a email marketing service provider that has a nice, clean, and modern design with Drag N Drop capability. This will make creating newsletters and html based emails a breeze and make sure your not distracted by the tool itself. Most email marketing service providers offer a free trial or a 30-day trial fairly inexpensively. Sign up for a free trial and test drive their dashboard before you make a final decision. If you can’t figure out the interface, more than likely you will end up paying someone else who does. How Deep Do You Want to Go? Now that you understand the 3 main factors to take into account when choosing an email marketing platform, the next question you need to answer is how targeted would you like to get with your marketing. The level of depth you would like to go with your marketing will heavily determine which platform will suit your best for your business. There are really 3 levels of email marketing to understand. Below I have defined each level for you to be able to easily identify where you fall. Beginner A beginner level email marketer is building a list because it was advised. They don’t really have a strategy for utilizing email marketing and do not know how to effectively grow their email list. If they do have a list they are only using it to send broad email newsletters to their entire group without any segmentation. Tools I recommend for beginners: GetResponse*, Aweber, MailChimp Intermediate An intermediate email marketer has a list and a strategy. They use email marketing to make and increase sales in their business. Their emails are usually not very targeted, but they do use segmentation at a fairly basic level to produce the desired results. Intermediate marketers also have their autoresponder integrated with other 3rd party platforms to increase their conversion rates and get the most out of their email marketing efforts. Tools I recommend for intermediate marketers: GetResponse*, Sendpepper*, Aweber Advanced Advanced email marketers send very targeted emails. They use segmentation (and/or tagging) to help determine the hottest leads in their funnel. They understand the importance of being able to measure the actions of every lead in their funnel with great resolution. These marketers more than likely are using a CRM + email marketing platform to integrate all their marketing tools into one resource to maximize their profits and scale their business. Tools I recommend for advanced marketers: Ontraport, Infusionsoft* You may not be aware of the various uses for autoresponders in association with your online business. It doesn’t matter what type of goods or services you are offering. Many people know that an autoresponder is a great way to thank someone for their purchase and offer them a confirmation of the order. You can also use them to create an E-zine or a newsletter. These are both great ways to offer those on your opt in list free information that builds a good relationship. There are some different aspects you need to be aware of when it comes to using an autoresponder for an E-zine or newsletter though. You will need to find an autoresponder that offers you the chance to use a broadcast feature. This is because you don’t want this particular message to go out at scheduled intervals. That is a common feature that works well when someone new signs up for your opt in list because you want to have a series of messages that go out to them with enough time between each one. With the broadcast feature, everyone on the opt in list will get the E-zine or newsletter delivered to them on the same day. It won’t matter which e-mail they are set up for with the autoresponder in relation to the predetermined messaging sequence. It's also generally a good idea to have your E-zines and newsletters archived on your site as well for a number of reasons. For instance, this will allow individuals who missed earlier editions to go back and read the materials.

Our lives have changed a huge amount in a short space of time and unfortunately our bodies haven’t had the chance to catch up. Sometimes, a fight or flight response is still exactly what you need. If you get into a physical confrontation, or if you’re pinned under a rubble, then all that heightened strength, power and reflexes is going to be very useful. But in other scenarios, we can interpret a situation as dangerous and react inappropriately. For example, when you’re giving a speech, having that much adrenaline is going to make life more difficult. The tunnel vision and focus that the fight or flight response gives you will make it more difficult for you to come up with creative phrases and your sensitivity to your surroundings will make you jumpy and twitchy. Meanwhile, adrenaline causes other symptoms such as shaking and this means that your audience will be able to physically tell that you’re scared. If you look nervous, then the assumption will be that you don’t have confidence in yourself or in what you’re saying and thus whatever you’re saying will be undermined. The same is true on a date or in an interview. Again it boils down to evolution – if someone seems nervous it suggests that they are our inferiors and thus it undermines whatever it is that they’re saying and makes us less likely to take them seriously. When we panic we’re less able to make smart decisions, we’re less able to speak with authority and we come across to others as weak. Worse is if you have a phobia or an anxiety disorder. Those who suffer from agoraphobia for instance might become worked into such a severe stress response that they begin to hyperventilate. This in turn can cause fainting which of course is not at all adaptive and can ultimately be crippling and prevent you from living a normal life. Here’s another one: fight or flight actually inhibits erections. This means that if you’re very stressed then you won’t be able to get an erection as a male – which in turn is one of the key causes of impotence. It makes sense: if you’re in immediate danger, why would it be useful to send blood to your penis? Finally, the other reason that the fight or flight response can be a bad thing is that it can become chronic. This basically means that you’re in a constant ‘low level’ fight or flight response which ultimately means that you think you’re constantly in some kind of danger. This is once again a result of the gulf between our evolution and our modern lifestyles. When we were still evolving, stress was only ever acute and would be caused by things like forest fires or predators. Today though, our stress tends to last much longer and be caused by things like angry bosses, deadlines, debt, moving home, Christmas, relationships, tax, wedding planning, chronic illness… These stresses then continue to affect us for a long time. If you’re in debt, then having dilated pupils and tense muscles is not going to help you get out of it. Moreover, the fact that your blood is being directed away from your digestion and away from your immune system means you’re more likely to get indigestion and more likely to become ill. Likewise, a constantly elevated heart rate can lead to heart problems, while constant adrenaline can eventually cause adrenal fatigue. In short, stress can take a serious toll on the body and eventually leave you feeling ill, exhausted and broken. “Divert all energy to thrusters!” “But captain… what about the life support unit?” “I said ALL energy!” Chapter 2: An Introduction to Neurotransmitters Before we go into this in more detail, it’s first useful to look in a little more detail at this response and the neurotransmitters that cause it. There are some subtleties here that many people miss and understanding them is one of the keys to overcoming unwanted stress and anxiety. Firstly: it’s important to recognize that no two fight or flight responses are the exact same. In other words, stress is a broad term for a large number of different experiences all caused by slightly different ratios of chemicals. For example, the stress that you feel before an exam is very different from the stress you feel when having a panic attack late at night. Likewise, the stress that you feel in an argument with your partner is very different from the stress that you feel when you’re going down a mountain quickly. This is what can sometimes mark the difference between a ‘positive’ stress response and a negative one. And perhaps the most well-publicized example of a ‘positive’ stress response is that of the ‘flow state’. What is a Flow State? A flow state is a state of heightened performance without many of the downsides we normally associate with stress. The most common example is in extreme sports where someone who is going down a mountain on a snowboard might find themselves subjectively experience the ‘slowing of time’. They are exhilarated and completely focussed on what they’re doing, which allows them to react with incredible reactions and to heighten their performance to incredible degrees. Some athletes will describe similar experiences when they’re breaking records and giving their best performances on the field, track or court; suddenly time slows down and they feel completely in-tune with their bodies. Rappers describe something similar, as do writers when they get into ‘the zone’ (which is generally regarded as being a synonym for flow). If you’ve ever been in a conversation and appeared to completely lose track of time for hours while being completely engaged in what you’re saying, then that too is a sign of flow. So what’s happening here? Ultimately it comes down to a very similar set of signals from your brain, resulting in a very similar cascade of neurotransmitters but with a few subtle differences. What you’re telling your brain in this instant is that what you’re doing is incredibly important and possibly even ‘life or death’ (as in the case of extreme sports). At the same time though, you’re also telling your brain that you’re enjoying the experience which slightly changes the chemical profile. Now you likely have an increase in serotonin (the feel-good hormone that numbs pain) and research suggests you also get an increase in anandamide – which is the ‘bliss’ neurotransmitter that also increases creative problem solving. This same neurotransmitter is associated with the use of marijuana! You probably would experience less cortisol meanwhile which is what makes us feel anxious and paranoid. So you still get the focus and the heightened performance but instead of feeling bad with it, you instead feel right at the top of your game.

Sample Content Preview If your offer is enticing enough they will then enter their information and end up on your sales page. They may not buy right then, but now you have their information where you can follow up with them later, either by direct email from you or through your autoresponder program. It's a known fact that most customers do not buy the first time, it may take 5, 7 or more contacts from you before they do buy what you're offering. First you need to gain their trust and build confidence with them. This is the cheapest way to lower your advertising costs! Build a large list of opt-in subscribers/customers who trust you. It's like money in the bank! One can never deny the fact that a squeeze page is very essential and crucial in this business; and that 98% of the marketers only ask for first name and email address. This of course depends on what you might need the other info for. Squeeze pages can drive traffic to your site. To drive traffic to your site first you should flatter your visitors with perks and bonuses that are related to your product and their interests. Just make sure that the cost of your giveaways can fit in your budget and they must be a quality, deliverable product or service that your lead can use and benefit from. A squeeze page is more likely to produce a 20% opt-in rate of the total number of net surfers who visit your site. You must provide a strong and juicy headline and show your visitors what's in it for them to tempt your visitor to leave their name and email address so that they can't wait to get to your website. By creating a squeeze page, you can optimize your email marketing campaign. It has been proven that almost all visitors to your website won't drag out their credit cards on their first visit. You'll be able to follow up with your list of subscribers and gain their confidence in you and trust you. Then you can sell them other products (yours or affiliate) and services. If they trust you, they will be more likely to buy what you recommend. With a good squeeze page program you can do split-testing with your headlines, offers and products to find out what is the most effective to bring in customers. If you do split test, then you can logically make more with the same amount of traffic and the same product. What you have to do is to continuously keep testing and to continuously run two versions so that you keep making your site better and better. With the right squeeze page program, it will automatically do the testing for you or there are several tracking products on the market that you can purchase. As with most websites you can add video, images, audio and other media at the push of a button. Again, this will depending on what you use to make squeeze pages as to whether you can add media. It's been proven that by adding media to your squeeze page, you will get better conversions. I hope by now you can see the importance of squeeze pages in your internet business. They're simple, easy to make with the right program and they will help you build your list and achieve your peak in online marketing. Driving Traffic To Your Optin Page It took a long time getting your squeeze page built just the way you wanted it, right? Now, how can you get traffic? It's the lifeblood of the Internet according to some. So, how do you go about getting it? There are several ways to get traffic, actually, but not all of them may be right for you. Let's explore the different ways of getting traffic in a series of articles. The first will be about blogging. Blogging! You're probably thinking, I can't write. Well, yes you can! You don't have to be Hemingway to start a blog. You can be a decent writer, know how to get a point across, and have a successful blog. Just be sure that people are passionate about your subject matter. If you aren't, then you shouldn't even have a squeeze page up and running. If nobody is searching for your keywords, what's the point? But let's say that you know they are and that you're good to go. Maybe you're building a list around something rather unusual, like World War II Battleships. If you're passionate about them, you've undoubtedly read lots of books about them, and may even have visited one or two. And let's say you have pictures! How great is that? Now, you can put those up on your blog, and write a short paragraph about each one. One picture per blog post. Or, just give some great battleship trivia facts. If you write about something most battleship aficionados would know, then write your viewpoint on it, and so on. But if you absolutely are letting writing a blog yourself stop you, don't! Hire someone to write posts for you. You can pay as little as $2, or as high as thousands of dollars, but somewhere between $10 and $15 may do the trick. It just depends on how tough your niche is to write about. You won't get a very high-quality article for $2, that's for sure. And you may need more research than a $15 an article writer is willing to do. So, what you pay is really up to you. The important thing is to find someone you can work well with and who is dependable. Make sure that your keyword is in your title, and that you use it early and often in your article, too. Just don't overdo. About 2% keyword density is considered appropriate now. That means don't stuff keywords into your post, just to get the search engines to visit. The search engine experts think that Google's using something called "latent semantic indexing" or LSI to spider content now. That means they're looking for keywords, but they're also looking for words and phrases that surround your topic. In other words, don't have "Britney Spears" as a keyword because people search like mad for it. If you have that keyword, your site had better be about Britney Spears. Google decides their hierarchy by what they call "page rank." By meeting the keyword requirement, updating your site often, making your site bigger, etc., Google will give you higher ranking. The higher your page rank, the higher your page will appear in the search engine results pages, in most cases. That means more traffic. But search engines frown on duplicate content, so don't post to your blog and then take the very same thing and upload it to a bunch of article directories. Why is this bad? Because search engines want the most unique results they can get for the people who are searching. They don't want the same article coming up in the first page of their results. So, just completely rewrite your article, if you want to use it for directories, too. Otherwise, only one page will get the benefit of your work and it may not be you. What will work for you is the fact that blogs are the darlings of search engines. Why? Because spiders can crawl them easily, they're usually indexed quickly, too. Plus, every post is considered to be another page. So, post every day! The more pages a site has, the higher its page rank will be. That means, the higher it will be in the search engine results pages and the more your site will be seen. Sample Content Preview There are a number of sites that promote or list different newsletters for people to subscribe to. You can also join up with other newsletter publishers with common target markets and list your newsletters together on each of the publisher's sites. The implied endorsement is nearly the most powerful way to boost return on investment within advertising and email lists. Presenting a great value to your niche market and becoming the "must have" newsletter is going to be important in building your list. This kind of value travels fast by word-ofmouth. Not to mention having a product, that is so attractive valuable tha people are raving after it. The product that creates it value on it own and repays and doubles it´s value: after all you are not after the product solely, you are buying a value for yourself, a service , a solution. Essential Rules For Successful (And Proper) Email Marketing You own an online business (or you're on the way to owning one) and you know that to make money you need a list of people, a list of passionate buyers who are hungry for your offer and will devour it when you send it out. How do you create such a list? And even more important how do you maintain your list of prospects? It’s not as easy as you probably thought at first. You must have a squeeze page where people opt in to your list. On that page you should tell your prospects that the information they provide will be kept private and that they will receive only the newsletters they subscribe to but not a whole lot of spam from different sources. Don’t forget to use the double opt in model because people may not remember that they opted in to your list. Using the double opt-in method you ensure that all people on your list gave you the permission to send them your emails. Your auto-responder email messages should be mini sales letters including a solid content to keep your list subscribed. And finally, you want to send the emails at a regular basis, but not too often, so your subscribers don't forget who you are, or worse, get overwhelmed by your messages. It requires much time, testing and measuring to choose the right email marketing strategy and set it up in the right way but it is well worth the efforts in the end. Let’s talk now about 3 simple but incredibly important rules to set you on the right path with the email newsletter: 1. Keep the lines width up to 65 characters. Most people read many emails every day. So, your purpose is to compose your email message so that it is not boring or fatiguing to read. The last thing that your recipient wants to do is scrolling his eyes from one side of the screen to the other. No matter how good your content is, if it is fatiguing to read, it risks to be abandoned after a few lines. The optimum width of the line is around 65 characters. You just type 65 symbols, for example asterisks or dashes, across the top and then measure your text returns against this. MS Outlook Express, NoteTab and some other email programs allow you set the line wrap to any character width you require. So, you don’t have to hit enter every time you think you need to. Another thing to keep in mind is that some email programs force line wrapping at 60 to 65 characters on emails received. So if you send an email wrapped at 100 characters your reader will receive an email that is broken down. This makes it look unprofessional. 2. Don’t write in ALL CAPS. It’s bad email etiquette. It’s like you’re shouting at your reader. Nobody likes to be shouted at and if you are trying to sell something at the same time, you won't make any sales, and even worse, you may lose some subscribers. Some caps, underlining and bolding is necessary but don’t abuse it! Too many caps, exclamation points, underlining and bolding work against you. An email all in caps would destroy the reader’s confidence very quickly. 3. Always check your spelling and grammar. Have you ever seen a website, sales page or email with spelling mistakes? What do you think about the professionalism of the owner or email sender? Some people may not pay attention to the mistakes, but for some people one spelling mistake will completely destroy the credibility of the message. It is very important to spell check your messages before sending them. And even better if you have someone else to proof read your message before you send it out. A fresh look always helps discover the slips and mistakes that you might miss. Your reputation and sales are in direct proportion with your messages. The better your message is, the higher the credibility of your readers is and, thus, more sales you make. So, take the time to get it absolutely right. Is Your Email Marketing Considered Spam? Email marketing can be very effective as long as it is not viewed as spam. This is critical because when your email marketing is viewed as spam, it will not likely be read by the recipient and may not even reach the recipient if it is trapped by the Internet service providers spam filter. For this reason it is critical for business owners to work hard to ensure the email marketing they use is not viewed as spam by either the recipient or the recipient’s Internet service provider. This article will take a look at email marketing and specifically how business owners can ensure their emails are not viewed as spam. The distribution list for an email marketing campaign is one of the critical elements which can help to ensure the emails sent by the business owner are not viewed as spam. Before this can be accomplished it is important to understand exactly what spam is. Spam is essentially email which is unsolicited and sent for the sole purpose of advertising or promoting a product or service. Internet users receive mass quantities of spam on a daily basis. For some Internet users this quantity of spam is a huge source of frustration. Other Internet users have become so used to the amount of spam they receive that they barely even notice these emails. Neither of these scenarios bode well for business owners who are using email marketing campaigns to promote their products or services. Internet users who are angered by these spam emails may react harshly and report your emails to their Internet service providers. Internet users who do not even notice spam are likely to either automatically delete your emails and may block your email address to prevent future emails from getting through to them. Paying special attention to your email distribution list and only including recipients who had specifically asked for additional information will help to keep your emails from being viewed as spam. One way to acquire email addresses for the purposes of orchestrating an email campaign is to ask interested customers to register with your website and specify whether or not they wish to receive future emails with additional information, advertisements or other useful tips. This ensures the recipients of your emails are genuinely interested in your products and services and are not likely to view your emails as spam. Another way to ensure your emails are not viewed as spam is to offer recipients the option of being removed from the distribution list with each email. This is important even when the recipients specifically asked to receive these emails because they are entitled to change their opinion at any time. Offering the email recipients the opportunity to remove themselves from the email distribution list whenever they want is worthwhile because it allows recipients to have some control in the situation. This is a stark contrast to spam in which the recipients feel as though they have no control over the situation and no way to stop the spam from bombarding their inboxes on a daily basis.

Sample Content Preview Building Your List For FREE We all know very well the importance of a list in order to make money online. But understandably, many marketers have the problem of lack of budget. So how does one build a list for free? Here’s several great techniques for getting your money making list set up on a shoe string budget (or Free of Charge). Draw free traffic. The basis of building a free list is to draw traffic without any cost. This can be done by article submission or article directories (SEO) such as Ezinearticles and putting a link in the resource box of your article which leads to your landing page. Do an ad swap exchange. If you have a list already and have contacts with several marketers in the same niche, you can offer to do an email swap with them, promoting each others landing page to your respective subscribers. That way, you both can benefit from extra leads and grow your list fast. Join giveaway events. Giveaway events are great places to build your list fast. What you do is sign up for a free account and submit your gift to the website. Then, all the contributors will actively promote the launch and you will benefit from having built a list from free from all the visitors that come to the event. Make sure you actively promote the event as well because the list can only grow from the collective effort from all marketers. Finally, consider being an active contributor in niche forums. Forums are great places to meet your target market and show that you can provide good value to others. Once you’ve established yourself as an expert in your niche, you can provide contact details of your business to anyone who wishes to find out more about your products or even link them to your landing page to build your own list. List Exploding Strategies No matter how good your product is or how much you have to offer, it wont be of much use unless you have in front of you a ready group of people who are already interested in your stream of business. Whether you are a novice in the internet business or a pro, one thing you cannot survive without in this industry is a good mailing list. When I tried my hand at internet business a couple of years ago, my first product was an e-book. I tried everything in my power to make it a good product. The content was comprehensive, the banners were theme-related and everything, from the text to the tables included was done by me with precision. The next step came of marketing the product. I wrote several articles about my subject and posted them in various article directories, contacted joint-venture partners and searched for affiliate programs. Even then in the end, I did not make as much profit of it as I could have made. What went wrong? The answer is that time I did not have a mailing list as such with me. I did not have a group of interested people to whom I could introduce my products to and that’s where the importance of having a good mailing list comes in. Let us run through some basic yet key advantages of having a mailing list, which every internet business owner swears by. Your mailing list is your instant profit ticket, provided you have developed a good relation with them by giving them good targeted information every time. Whenever you want to launch your new product, you already have potential customers in the form of your list to which you can introduce your product and get instant sales. Also when you regularly write to your subscribers, you develop a trust in them, which is very important because only when they trust you will they be willing to give you their hard earned money to gain valuable information. And to maintain this trust it is very important for us as internet business owners to provide our list with genuine and useful information. Ask yourself the question, would you buy this product? If the answer is yes, then most probably the answer will be yes for your list too. Now let us look at some good ways of building your targeted list. There is a concept called ad-swapping. It’s very simple. What you do is find other ezine producers who are promoting a similar product to yours, and approach them. You strike a deal with them where in you put their ezine ad in your newsletter and they put your ezine ad in theirs. That way you both get instant bulk subscribers and that too targeted ones. In case you don’t have any subscribers to start with, you can offer your product to an ezine publisher in return for advertising your ezine in his newsletter. One very easy way of getting targeted traffic is to promote your ezine in ezine directories. Just submit your ezine in one the ezine directories with an impressive description of your ezine. Another very sure of way of increasing your list is by submitting articles related to your product in article directories. Remember that it is not advertising. You need to put in useful and informative extracts about your subject, form it into a good article and post it in various article directories. Over time many people who are interested in the subject will read your article, and if the information is useful, they will click on your link in the resource box to know more about it and that’s when you can tell them to sign up to your newsletter. You can also create a blog about your product and place your opt in form on it. You might need to market your blog first so as to drive traffic to it. One of the ways, which has helped me a lot in gaining a good number of subscribers, as mentioned before, is participating in a Give-Away Event. All it is, is a group of internet marketers participate in this event. They each offer a free gift on a website and in order for people to get the free gift, they need to join their email list. It’s a very simple way by which you can gain a huge amount of opt-ins to your list. You have to keep a lookout for these events. Sign up to some good newsletters, and the owner will inform you if there is any give-away event that you can participate in.

Sample Content Preview These services usually charge based on the number of subscribers you have with a minimum amount and a maximum amount. However, considering the value that you will gain from building a list of subscribers, this cost is almost negligible. When it comes to email marketing list providers, don’t let price alone be the limiting factor in your choice. Reliability is crucial. You will want a service that can assure delivery of your emails and that has effective spam prevention. Consider the history of their uptime, some of the customer reviews (both positive and negative), the delivery rates of the service, and even the customer service rating based on the response time and helpfulness. Don't get caught up in a fly-by-night auto-responder service that doesn't fulfill their end of the deal long term. With all of that in mind, these factors are the main ones you should look at when choosing an email marketing list service provider. Strategies For Getting People Onto Your List In this section, we will look over some of the most common AND proven methods and resources for building a highly responsive and profitable email list, regardless of your niche or target audience. Use Pay-Per-Click Ads to Drive Traffic If you have the budget, you can use something like Google's Adwords program to push traffic to your email-subscription landing page. You can select the keywords you want to use and then create a campaign around them, using classified like ads to get people to sign up. Make sure you have a great landing page because every person who "clicks away" without signing up costs you money! Use Basic SEO Tactics By far one of the most common techniques for building an email list is to have an opt-in page or form on your website. This is a page that prompts your visitors to enter in their email contact information to get more information regarding the topic that your website revolves around. You have to make the process of giving contact information as easy as you possibly can for your audience. Ensure that everything is in order because the last thing people want to see is an error page when they have just entered their personal contact information. Using exit pop ups, pop unders, and even opt in forms on the side bar of your blog. All this will do is lead people believe that your site is fraudulent, and they will be entirely unlikely ever to return. Offer Special Opt-in Incentives It helps if you offer people something of value in exchange for their contact information, such as a free report or an eBook. Also, you have to make sure that whatever it is you are offering can be easily accessed directly after the customer has provided their information. This will be the best way to start things off on the right foot. Using this method, you can also promote other products, upsells, or other offers within the report or book – or even on the download / thank you page as well. Add a Sign Up Form On Every Page of Your Site Far too many people forget to do this easy concept. Put your form in front of your visitors' faces. Some people that come to your website are just "tourists" and they leave shortly after arriving. By having this on your page, you can easily capitalize on every little bit of traffic that visitors your site, especially the bounces. Others are genuinely interested in what you have to offer, but either don’t have the need for it at the current time or don't have the money. Make it easy for those interested to keep in contact with you. Put a sign-up form "above the fold" on each and every page. Clearly State the Benefits of Joining Your List On your subscription or landing page, prove to potential subscribers that your newsletters and emails will not be (a) spam (b) a waste of their time. People have lots of information overload in their lives nowadays, so they want to read things in their inboxes that are interesting, useful or informative. Give them a preview or clearly explain what the main benefits of being a member of your list will be. Offer testimonials, sample messages or an archive of older newsletter issues or information to them just for joining. Show them what's in it for them. Using Solo Ads Solo ads are advertisements spaces that you can purchase from recognized email publishers. When these publishers send online mailers to their subscribers, an advertisement for your company also gets added to the mail. In many cases, the email or publication may be directly specific to ONLY your business or offer. You get to pick the advertisers in such a manner that your emails are only sent to subscribers who have indicated an interest in receiving information about businesses that offer the same service as you do, making these emails highly targeted. Learning how to build an email list with Solo ads is hard work, and you will likely be better off using the services of a professional. Many companies claim to provide these services, and you need to be careful when picking one because they might end up getting your business blacklisted from major email providers. Look for feedback and reviews. Services that offer quality solo ad programs have been proven to be highly effective and have a lot of positive feedback from their clients. You also get the benefit of picking a service that specializes in your industry vertical, and this will ensure that your business gets promoted properly.

Conclusion . 32 Sample Content Preview Chapter 2. Why Your Old Workouts Failed Think about how many people you know who have tried to get into shape and failed. Think about how many of your friends or family members have started new training programs or new weight loss regimes. Either they’re trying to build big muscle, or they’re interested in losing fat. Either way, they come to you all excited about their new goals and they show you their program. Often it will involve training five days a week at the gym, perhaps for an hour at a time. At the same time, this new training program is going to involve eating 500 fewer calories. How can it possibly fail? I’ll tell you how it fails. In fact, I’ll tell you how it fails nearly every single time. The problem isn’t that the training program isn’t good. The problem is that they don’t stick at it. They have this exciting aim and they’re all ready to get going with it, but by week two they’re already losing motivation. Something ‘important’ comes up and they have to take a day out of training. Either that or they just get home from work and they’re so tired they have to skip a session… Then they get a cold and that means another week off. And their friends are eating out and they’re invited, so they head to that and they consume 1,500 calories in one sitting. So far, so bad. By the end of week three, they’re now back at the position they were in to begin with and they’ve made no progress on their diet or their training. This is disheartening and it’s also somewhat embarrassing when people ask them how their fitness is going. So they just kind of brush it to one side and then pretend that it never happened. Until the next program comes along that is! You’re probably very familiar with this story and in fact, it’s probably a story that you’ve lived yourself a lot of times. The problem is that these training programs are just too ambitious. Taking on a new training program like this takes an incredible amount of dedication and energy. Think about it: right now you probably feel like you don’t have much time in your life. You probably feel rushed off your feet and you probably have very little energy when you get back in the evenings. This is why you’re currently out of shape. It’s not for lack of interest or for lack of trying. If it were easy to get into incredible shape, then you would have done it already! Truth is that life is hard and most of us are struggling just to keep afloat. Here’s a quick newsflash by the way: time isn’t the problem. All of us think that we have a problem with time but this is almost always untrue. We very often think that we don’t have time and that’s why we don’t get everything we want done. But if that’s true, then how come you were able to watch that entire boxset of Game of Thrones recently? How come you spent all of last night just lying in front of the TV? How come you were able to hit snooze three times on your alarm? The problem isn’t time – it’s energy. Energy is finite and there’s only so much stress and so much work/activity that we can cram into one day before that finite energy begins to run dry. If you’re already at your wits end. If you’re already exhausted and stressed… then what makes you think that you can add a workout to the end of your day that’s an hour long? And what makes you think that you can drive to the gym to do your workout? And then back? And then shower? There are more things about going to the gym that we don’t take into account too. For instance, the cost. Then there’s the cold weather. And here’s one: all that extra washing! If you go to the gym 5 days a week, then you’ll be creating five more pairs of dirty underwear and you’ll need to wash all those jogging bottoms and tank tops… You expect to do all this when you already have no energy and you also intend to eat fewer calories? Giving yourself even less energy? And you wonder why so many training programs fail? Chapter 3. The SSE Workout – Super Simple and Effective! I want to demonstrate the power of bodyweight training to you right away and that’s why I’m starting with this simple workout. It’s called the ‘SSE’ workout because it’s super simple and effective. This is a workout that addresses all of the issues that we saw in the last chapter and then some. It’s a workout that takes 10-15 minutes. All you need is a pull up bar (or a tree branch). And you’re going to do it in the morning, before you shower. The Workout The workout is a circuit. That means that you’ll go through each exercise once and then you’re going to start again from the beginning. You’re going to rest for 30 seconds between each completed set and you’re going to perform each set of moves for 30 seconds. The exercises are push ups, pull ups and jack in the box. So the workout looks like this: 30 seconds of push ups 30 seconds of pull ups 30 seconds of jack in the box 30 seconds of rest You then repeat it five times. Make sure that you are doing as many repetitions of each exercise as you can and that you’re giving it your all. You also need to ensure that you aren’t resting at all when you move from one to the next. It doesn’t matter how many press ups and pull ups you do. All that matters is that you keep going until the end of the thirty seconds (at least keep trying). If you can’t do push ups, then you can do push ups on your knees to begin with. And if you can’t do pull ups (or can’t do enough), then you’re going to do assisted pull ups. Assisted pull ups means that you’re going to take a chair and put it underneath the pull up bar. You can now put your feet on that chair and use them to slightly help yourself through each pull up. Don’t cheat and just ‘stand up’ – just give yourself the slightest bit of help with your legs so that you can complete each exercise. Remember as well that pull ups are the ones where you use an overhand (pronated) grip. That means that your palms are facing away from you and this way, you’ll also be engaging your lats more in the exercise rather than your biceps. Finally, when performing the jack-in-the-box, you need to squat all the way down and crouch, then you’re exploding upward and splaying your arms and legs like a star-fish. It’s like a squat combined with a star jump. If you can’t do this, then just tuck jumps will be fine to begin with. That’s the whole workout. Like I said, it’s simple. But it’s also really effective. And you’re going to do it five days a week before you start work. One more tip: don’t do it immediately upon waking. Wait at least 10 minutes as that way your spine won’t be soft from sleeping and you’ll reduce the chances of injury. This is pretty light stuff though, so you should find you’re fine to go into it without a warm up. Why This Works So what’s so special about this workout? The first thing is that it has everything you need in it. The workout has three components: push, pull and legs. Each exercise is also compound and that way, you’re actually targeting nearly every muscle in the body:
