Introduction: What is a Joint Venture?
The dictionary defines 'Joint Venture' as: "A joint venture (more often than not it is abbreviated as JV) is a legal entity or agreement formed between two or more parties to undertake economic activity together. The parties agree to create a new entity by both contributing equity, and they then share in the revenues, expenses, and control of the enterprise.
The venture can be for one specific project only, or a continuing business relationship such as the Sony Ericsson joint venture. This is in contrast to a strategic alliance, which involves no equity stake by the participants, and is a much less rigid arrangement."
There doesn't have to be a high risk of failure involved and a new entity is not necessarily formed. Individuals and companies do joint ventures all the time… out in the brick and mortar world as well as in cyberspace. As a matter of fact, the joint venture is one of the better kept secrets of Internet marketing.
The joint venture is an idea as old as time. The cavemen most likely figured out that buy pooling their efforts they could more easily feed and clothe themselves. By pooling talents and resources so much more can be accomplished than any one individual or company could accomplish alone. That's why so many individuals and companies enter into joint venture agreements. Joint ventures are the stuff that fortunes are made of.
One of the better known joint ventures of modern times is the one that Bill Gates, of Microsoft fame, entered into with IBM, the giant of the electronics industry. Bill Gates had developed DOS while IBM had market share. The rest, as they say, is history. Just think what our world would be like if that joint venture had never happened. Oh…and as most of us already know, Bill Gates was a billionaire before he was 31.

Day 1: Business Plan and The Importance of Targeted Traffic
In this course, I'm using "days" instead of "chapters" so you can easily see how very few days it takes to set up your ultimate traffic surge system. I hope you like the format. Ok, let’s get busy...
It has been said many times, that those who fail to plan, plan to fail. It's so desperately true in any business, too. You absolutely have to have a plan.
Making a good and detailed outline of the steps that should be taken, the order in which they should be taken and the expected cost of each is the way to get from Point A (having zero traffic) to Point B (getting a surge of eager targeted traffic).
Some people will tell you that any traffic is good traffic but they are the ones who are most likely trying to sell you something you don't need. The fact is that just any old kind of traffic is just about useless.
The only good traffic is targeted traffic. The kind of traffic that you need on your website is the people who have their credit cards ready and are actually looking to buy what you are selling.
Traffic that passes through your website while on the way to something totally unrelated to the topic of your website or those who just happen to surf by aren't going to be making a purchase.
They aren't even going to be opting in to your mailing list. It's better to have 10 potential customers visit your website than a 1000 people who are not the least bit interested in what you are selling.
Therefore: The plan that you will be making is for the purpose of getting TARGETED traffic to your website... not just traffic for the sake of having visitors.
You want this traffic to actually be looking for products like yours to buy. You don't want people who are looking for free similar products and you aren't looking for people who aren't interested in or cannot use your product.
So how exactly are you going to go after this targeted traffic? Once you are ready to start actually going after the traffic, you will need to locate the people who are your very best potential product buyer prospects.

What is Creativity?
The Websters dictionary’s definition is as follows:
“Creativity is marked by the ability or power to create–to bring into existence, to invest with a new form, to produce through imaginative skill, to make or bring into existence something new.”
The focal point of this definition is “something new”. Without the right techniques you could spend a lot of time thinking about many different things before you actually come up with something new.
Eureka! Then comes the moment where reality kicks in and clashes with your idea. Sure, it is unique, but is it useful? If your idea won’t solve a problem, help make life easier, or have anything in it to attract and keep other people’s attention, you’re better not waste your energy.
I will not explore in details the topics of finding a problem to solve, choosing a niche market, or evaluating your ideas here. This report will only focus on one thing: Helping you get your creative juices flowing.
In the next chapters I will cover:
• Developing the creative attitude
• The Creative Process
• The Brainstorm
• … And More Techniques
• Mind and Body Exercises for Increased Creativity
Let’s get started.

Do I really need a fence?
First of all, welcome to FEN 101, otherwise known as How to Build a Fence. You are about to explore the wonderful world of fence building. This how to guide will provide you with a step by step framework for creating a fence. We will look to explore everything from the initial thoughts of building a fence to the end product and maintenance. Whether you are a novice or expert fence builder you are almost guaranteed to learn or familiarize yourself with something you may not have known previously about fence building. For purposes of this book we will explore primarily how to build residential fences. Anything beyond residential fences (commercial and industrial) requires the same basic methods as residential fences but are subjected to various government rules and regulations. Well, good luck with the project and happy fence building.
The first question you should ask yourself before you go through with building a fence is, “Do I really need a fence?” To answer this question thoroughly you will have to consider a number of things.
The first and foremost reason you may need to build a fence is to meet local government (city, town, state) rules and regulations. Many local governments require that certain types of commercial industries fence in their businesses. In addition, pool and pet owners are often required to fence in the area around their pool or animal. If this is the case then it's a given, you are in definite need of a fence in order to meet these rules and regulations. Trying to evade the government and violate local laws will only lead to troubles and liabilities down the road. Taking proactive measures to prevent and secure your parcel from potential liabilities is a wise investment that will most likely save your trouble in the long run.

Introduction
Although many people seem to think that writing effective copy for the web is easy, it isn’t. So if you want to ensure that your readers and your customers understand how your website works and what it can do for them, you need to produce good copywriting for it.
In this book, we will look at the basics of producing good copywriting for the web. But before we start there are a number of things that you should remember. First, people do not read a website in the same way that they would read printed material. In fact, there are three characteristics which affect how a web user will react to the online content of a site.
It is important to remember that web users are active, not passive. So if they can not find a reason for staying on a site, then they will leave it. Sometimes a person will leave 15 seconds after they have actually gotten there. So if your text is too long, then they are less likely to read it. So if you want a web user to believe what you have to say, you must be able to back up the hype.
In order for any web copy to be effective, it must take into account the characteristics mentioned above.
What is most important of all when looking at copywriting for the web, is not to underestimate the importance of the basics. If you just jump straight into it you may find yourself in trouble, and your site not being as effective as it should be.

Chapter 1: Introduction to Web Traffic
There are an enormous number of ways that you can make money online. Whether you are selling advertising space, selling actual merchandise, or selling information, you determine your success or failure by your ability to get people to visit your site.
If you started a business and put all of your advertising on the side of dirt road with minimal traffic, then you probably won’t see any fruit produced by that effort. In the same way, you want your store to be located in a busy part of town where casual shoppers linger. Your best business may come from people who just dropped in while window-shopping.
The key to succeeding in any internet related business is traffic. You must find ways to lead potential customers to your front page. If you think you can rely solely on the search engines to put you at the top of their lists, then you may be setting yourself up for failure. Search engines use a complicated formula when deciding which pages show up first. Unless yours is the only business of your kind in the world that has a web site, you probably won’t get to the top of the list. If for some reason you do, then you probably won’t stay there for very long. Corporations buy the rights to search phrases and generally pay big money for the opportunity to be highlighted at the top of the list.
One interesting point to keep in mind is that, the more traffic you have at your site, the more likely you are to slide up in the search engine results. The question then, is how do you get that initial flow of customers, clients, or readers to make your website a place that they regularly visit? This is the core question of this book and you’ll get plenty of answers to this question during the rest of the book.
