The Importance Of Email Sales Letters
Sales letters have been an integral part of the business/customer relationship for as long as printing presses and the postal service have existed. The invention of the Internet hasn’t changed that, except that there is now a better, faster, cheaper way to connect with customers – via email.
Unfortunately, there are those who have taken adverse advantage of this wonderful communication technology, and this has made it harder for those of us who are legitimately trying to do business through email. These people are spammers and all-around crooks who try to take advantage of innocent people.
As Internet Marketers, we have had to work hard to overcome those issues, and to get our customers and prospective customers to allow us to send them email – without offending or angering them. We now are able to do that, however like most things there is a right way and a wrong way to get this job done.
Internet Marketers do business online. Otherwise, the word ‘Internet’ would not be in their title. Close your eyes and picture a business district in your town. You are driving down the road, and you see the various businesses on that road. Now, for just another minute, imagine that there are 11.5 billion businesses on that road. How would you ever find what you were looking for?
This is the problem that Internet Marketers face because there are over 11.5 billion websites in existence. Yes, we have search engines that can help our customers find us, but they won’t just index our pages – they index most of those 11.5 billion websites. So, unless you are one of the ten luckiest people for your keywords, you probably won’t be found in the search engines.
Think about that for just a second. If there were 11.5 billion businesses listed in your local yellow pages, and your business was one of them, how often would you be found, if the name of your business did not start with the number ‘1’ in it’s title? You may never be found.
Furthermore, with all of the websites out there to visit, what is it that is going to bring visitors back to your site over and over again? You either have to be incredibly special – or you need another way to keep in contact with those potential customers.
That’s why email communication with customers and potential customers is so vital. Email allows us, as Internet Marketers, the ability to overcome the overwhelming number of web pages that exist, and to get in touch with customers.
Unfortunately, our problems don’t end there. Remember that there are those who have made our work harder by taking advantage of email in a negative way. There is more to being successful with email than just sending an email.
First, you must have the proper tools to collect email address. Second, you must have the proper tools to send email to everyone on the list that you have built in a short amount of time. You must write your email in such a way that it isn’t caught by spam filters. Then, you must get people to open the email, to read your message, and to take action. It isn’t as easy at is sounds by anyone’s standards.
The Internet has not been around very long – less than twenty years. But in that time, there are those who have pioneered this vast – endless – frontier, and they have taken the time and put forth the effort to learn methods that work. A great deal of research has been done in the area of email marketing, and all of the time and effort put forth is something that you can benefit from today.

The Ins and Outs of Adsense
Tens of millions of people surf the internet every day. Some of them are doing so to shop for products and services online. Others are just skimming all the sights and sounds of the World Wide Web just for fun. However, there is a common denominator among both of these groups. If either of them comes across a good deal they are bound to jump on it. Or, at the bare minimum, they will at least stop and check a good deal out.
Ultimately, if an attractive advertisement is staring straight at them, they might investigate further. This is true even if this wasn’t the original intention.
For example, they may have an interest in politics and visit a politically oriented website. As they read all the news headlines something catches their eye: an innocuous advertisement appears in the corner of the website. Actually, there are several advertisements. One of the ads mentions “50% discounts on new political book releases”. So, the visitors click on the ad and is immediately taken to the website promoting the books. However, they do not make a purchase. But, this does not matter to the owner of the political website. After all, the website publisher has already earned income thanks to the visitor clicking on the ad. And, no, there are no questions asked. His is credited for having sent traffic to the advertiser. Does this sound like a good deal? If it does…it’s because it is.
Welcome to the world of Adsense, Google’s revolutionary “Pay Per Click” advertising strategy that pulls in billions of dollars in revenue per year. And, yes, a lot of that money goes right into the pockets of those whose website hosts the Adsense ads. Best of all, this is an easy and lucrative process that takes mere minutes to set up.
Can you explain Adsense in a little further detail?
Adsense is an attractive method of marketing for businesses. Traditionally, website ads needed to pay for their display placement on websites. With Adsense, the advertiser does not pay for placement. The advertiser pays for clicks. Hence, the name “Pay Per Click” (PPC). The way this works is rather simple. The advertiser only needs to pay for those visitors who actually click on the ads. If no one clicks on the ads, they are not charged a fee. This encourages more and more advertisers to become involved with Adsense. As such, the pool of advertisers in the Adsense realm is so vast there are now advertisers for any and all websites.
This is also a very easy process for the website owner. All one has to do it copy and paste Adsense code onto their website. The ads will appear immediately. At first, they will be generic advertisements. Often, they will be mere public service announcements. This is to buy time for the Adsense “spiders” as they crawl the publisher’s website. Once they crawl the site, they will determine what type of website it is. Then they will affix rotating advertisements that are in accordance with the subject matter of a website. For example, if the website deals with hunting and fishing, the spiders will pick up on this and the ads appearing on the sites will reflect hunting and fishing ads.
While we are using the term website, there are various different online resources Adsense ads can be placed upon. Blogs are commonly employed as a venue for Adsense. Social networking sites are used as well. (MySpace pulls in over $30 million a MONTH from PPC ads) Website directories are frequently subsidized by Adsense ads. However, the “average person” will usually utilize a niche website as the platform for an Adsense campaign. As such, we will mainly deal with these niche websites herein.

Introduction
Ever since the inception of the Internet, people have come up with hundreds of ways to make extra cash, earn an entire living, or even become wealthy. The use of the Internet has allowed people and businesses to network and sell goods and services more than ever before.
Whether it’s selling that old guitar on an online auction site, or starting up your very own home based Internet based business, there is definitely a lot of money to be made. Affiliate programs and advertising have really made big gains over the last few years, and now it’s easier than ever to market ebooks, digital downloads, or other “virtual” items online.
With Clickbank, users have plenty of options to make life easier for their customer and for themselves. The money gets deposited directly into the user’s bank account on a weekly basis, so the income is residual and typically comes in as its made. There are many great reasons why Clickbank is the best choice for online retailers. First and foremost, they have a good focus on security, so you know your customers’ transactions are secure, as well as the security of the materials you are selling online. The company has been in business since 1998 without any missed payments to clients, so your money is guaranteed to be deposited into your bank account every time. Based in Ohio and Idaho, Clickbank is an American run and owned company with an excellent track record.
In 2007 Clickbank achieved a monumental goal: they sold over $1 million of material in one single day! This is just one great example of how popular the website is. In fact, Clickbank is often cited as one of the Internet’s top revenue making websites. In a matter of two years, their revenue grew over 50%. The concept of Clickbank came from the idea that the Internet can be used to effectively reach an entire demographic of people who are looking for reliable, helpful information in digital format.
For affiliates, Clickbank is a wise choice because there is no need to set up a merchant account or have to take credit card payments. No banking relationship of any kind needs to be established in order to be a Clickbank member. The site prides itself on its track record of fraud prevention. They also offer comprehensive support that includes forums and easy contact methods. Anyone can become a reseller through Clickbank and it’s easy to use.
The cost of Clickbank is relatively low compared to many other alternatives. There is a one time $49.95 activation charge. Clickbank purchases ebooks and other material directly from the publisher at wholesale cost, so the markup is good. This means that as a publisher of online digital material, you can offer your affiliates a good incentive to sell your product and still make a viable profit. In fact, Clickbank currently has over 110,000 active affiliates. Commission rates vary, but you are able to choose which products to sell, and at which commission rate depending on what the publisher is offering.
Another impressive feature of Clickbank is the stats tracking. This feature allows users to watch their sales statistics and see where the good sales are, how to improve, and much more. Each time your ebook sells, you will receive an automated email with a sales summary. This handy tool helps sellers stay aware of what is selling as well as maintain a good record of all sales. Chargebacks can be an issue for many online merchants, but Clickbank offers chargeback protection. There is also the option of recurring billing for merchants who want to sell monthly publications or other online digital items on a weekly or monthly basis.
There is a scoring system that is used to help affiliates decide which material they want to sell. This system gives them a combination of factors to take into account that can help them to make the best decision when choosing which materials they want to promote. Using this system, affiliates have an edge in the world of online digital material. They also have control over how much commission they make per sale, depending on what the publisher is offering them.

Chapter 1 - The Secret Door to Success
"So the people shouted when the priests blew with the trumpets; and it came to pass, when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat, so that the people
went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city."--Joshua 6:20
A successful man is always asked - "What is the secret of your success?"
People never ask a man who is a failure, "What is the secret of your failure?" It is quite easy to see and they are not interested.
People all want to know how to open the secret door to success.
For each man there is success, but it seems to be behind a door or wall. In the Bible reading, we have heard the wonderful story of the falling of the walls of Jericho.
Of course all biblical stories have a metaphysical interpretation.
We will talk now about your wall of Jericho: the wall separating you from success. Nearly everyone has built a wall around his own Jericho.
This city you are not able to enter, contains great treasures; your divinely designed success, your heart's desire!
What kind of wall have you built around your Jericho? Often, it is a wall of resentment - resenting someone, or resenting a situation, shuts off your good.

There’s no denying that Social Networking is big and it’s only going to get bigger. Social Networking is all about people connecting with people, and the Social Web Applications are the tools they’re using to do it.
Social Marketing is when you apply these same tools to build your brand, expand your web network and promote your business. This ebook was originally written for 'photographers' but the Social Websites offer fantastic opportunities that can be used by any online business, so we decided to write this special edition for 'everyone'.
You’ve probably heard of a lot of these social web applications … Blogs, Facebook, YouTube, MySpace, Digg, Squidoo ... and a whole lot more. There are literally hundreds of them, and each of then offer a different means of communicating with your audience.
At OzImages we’d been using a number of Social Networking sites & services for quite a while and the results just keep getting better and better, so it seemed a good time to share some of what we’ve learned with our Member photographers.
As soon as we did that, we started getting feedback from people using the same techniques to promote other websites and business, so it made sense to publish a more generalised version. You'll probably still find plenty of mentions of photography and photos, but if you use your imagination I think you'll find plenty of ways to apply these same strategies to your own business, whatever that might be!
What we've tried to do here is to put together a simple step-by-step process that anyone can use to promote any webpage, without having to become an expert on each individual service or function, and without having to spend too long doing it.
I believe these Social Networks are going to become more and more important to ANY business operating on the internet. This is simply the way the web is going … it’s getting extremely fast and very personal … and if we don't keep up we're going to left behind.
Hopefully this guide will show you how to put some of these great new tools to work and really take full advantage of the changes rather than just try and keep up.
This ebook is not going to teach you everything there is to know about the Web 2.0 Applications themselves, Bookmarking services or other Social Marketing tools. Instead we’re aiming for a step-by-step process that anyone can follow, to use these new tools to promote themselves and their work more effectively.

Why Internet Marketers Need More Protection
From the moment you first connected to the Internet, you have probably been told that you need to use security measures to protect yourself. This is something that all Internet users face all of the time. There is a great deal more to protection for Internet Marketers however.
Internet Marketers need more protection than that average user simply because they have more to protect, and of course they have more at stake. The average user may use their personal computers to shop, play games, or to surf the Internet. As an Internet Marketer, you probably do all of those things, but you also operate an entire business online.
A hacker can easily break into the email that is associated with your website, read your mail, and use that account to send thousands of spam emails out – all in your name – between the time that you turn off your computer for the day and fire it up again in the morning. They could even do it while you are taking your lunch break – or while you are sitting in front of the screen working.
They may also manage to break into the databases on your website and obtain all sorts of private information concerning your customers. Either of these actions could literally put you out of business in a matter of hours – or minutes. This goes far beyond protecting your own personal credit card information or identity. This is basically about protecting everything you’ve worked so hard for.
The average user worries about computer viruses and protecting their identity. You have to worry about protecting yourself from computer viruses, protecting your website from malicious acts, protecting your customer’s information, and protecting yourself legally. You would be surprised at the number of Internet Marketers who have failed to take these security measures.
The average user has the luxury of remaining totally anonymous on the Internet. The Internet Marketer does not have that option. There is a great deal of information regarding how to protect yourself from identity theft later, but this is another reason that Internet Marketers must use even greater security measures.
Internet Marketers have information that potential identity thieves want. You have customer names, billing addresses, phone number, and email addresses.
You may also have credit card numbers, however, most payment processors are designed to encrypt that information, and there have been few instances where thieves have been able to obtain this information through a merchant’s payment processing gateway. But the other information will give the thieves a head start regardless of this.
Aside from your own personal information, a thief or hacker is interested in the information that you have because of the customer information. Your customers trust you to protect that information with everything you have, and therefore, more security is required.
Then there is the legal aspect of your business. You need a disclaimer so that customers can’t expect the impossible, or the not-so-average results, fail to get them, and then turn around and sue you because they didn’t. There has always been a great deal of hype on the Internet, and now, there are laws to protect consumers from that hype. A disclaimer is necessary.
You also need a Terms of Service, or TOS. This serves to protect you and your other customers. It basically tells customers how they are to behave while using your site and this is typically more geared to sites that are community based – where customers interact with each other. Both the TOS and the disclaimer are covered in greater detail later.

“The physical industries of this world have two relations in them: one to the actor, and one to the public. Honest business is more really a contribution to the public than it is to the manager of the business himself. Although it seems to the man, and generally to the community, that the active business man is a self-seeker, and although his motive may be self-aggrandizement, yet, in point of fact, no man ever manages a legitimate business in this life, that he is not doing a thousand-fold more for other men than he is trying to do even for himself. For, in the economy of God’s providence, every right and well organized business is a beneficence and not a selfishness. And not less is it so because the merchant, the mechanic, the publisher, the artist, think merely of their profit. They are in fact working more for others than they are for themselves.”
HENRY WARD BEECHER.
PREFACE.
The chief glory of America is, that it is the country in which genius and industry find their speediest and surest reward. Fame and fortune are here open to all who are willing to work for them. Neither class distinctions nor social prejudices, neither differences of birth, religion, nor ideas, can prevent the man of true merit from winning the just reward of his labors in this favored land. We are emphatically a nation of self-made men, and it is to the labors of this worthy class that our marvelous national prosperity is due. This being the case, it is but natural that there should be manifested by our people a very decided desire to know the history of those who have risen to the front rank of their respective callings. Men are naturally cheered and encouraged by the success of others, and those who are worthy of a similar reward will not fail to learn valuable lessons from the examples of the men who have preceded them.
With the hope of gratifying this laudable desire for information, and encouraging those who are still struggling in the lists of fame and fortune, I offer this book to the reader. I have sought to tell simply and truthfully the story of the trials and triumphs of our self-made men, to show how they overcame where others failed, and to offer the record of their lives as models worthy of the imitation of the young men of our country. No one can hope to succeed in life merely by the force of his own genius, any more than he can hope to live without exerting some degree of influence for good or evil upon the community in which his lot is cast. Success in life is not the effect of accident or of chance: it is the result of the intelligent application of certain fixed principles to the affairs of every day. Each man must make this application according to the circumstances by which he is surrounded, and he can derive no greater assistance or encouragement in this undertaking than by informing himself how other men of acknowledged merit have succeeded in the same departments of the world’s industry. That this is true is shown by the fact that many of the most eminent men attribute their great achievements to the encouragement with which the perusal of the biographies of others inspired them at critical periods of their careers. It is believed that the narrations embraced in these pages afford ample instruction and entertainment to the young, as well as food for earnest reflection on the part of those who are safely advanced upon their pathway

Why is Content Crucial?
Here are a few reasons...
First of all, people come to the web for one thing and one thing only – information. Whether they're shopping for products to buy or looking for a natural remedy for their acne, they're hitting the web for information, advice, and help.
If your readers find quality information from you they're very likely to:
• Stick Around
• Sign Up for Your ezine or newsletter
• Twitter about your site
• Recommend your posts at places like StumbleUpon.com
• Sign up for your RSS feed
• Come back in the future
• Refer others to your site
Second, search engines LOVE content. The more pages you have on your website or blog filled with quality content, the better. Whether you offer product reviews, funny stories, or meaty training, quality content is rewarded by Google, MSN, and Yahoo, as well as the many other smaller search engines online.
Third, adding value to the Internet begins to establish you as an expert on your topic. By writing great information, your readers will begin to look at you as THE go-to person for information. You'll begin attracting interview and JV requests as well.
As you can see content really is important if you want to build a successful blog or website on the Internet. Without it, your site is just another in the World Wide Web. How can people find you if they don’t know you exist? By establishing yourself and providing your readers with quality posts and other valuable information they need and want, you will see that you can easily become one of the big fish in the pond.
But, what if you don’t have time to write constantly? Or, what if you don’t like writing? You’re in luck, there are many ways to add quality information to your blog without having to write it all yourself.
Before we get to that, let me tell you that while you can create a blog purely made up of content that you don’t write yourself, I wouldn’t advise it. If you want to really resonate with your readers, you have to let them get to know you as well. Don’t shy away from writing some posts yourself, but instead use these content creation methods along with your own writing to create even more quality information for your visitors.
