What is Multiple Sclerosis
Multiple sclerosis is an autoimmune condition which occurs when the antibodies inside a person’s body attack certain parts of the central nervous system, bringing about several problems in relation to it. This illness has become a big issue both for patients and the medical experts dealing with it because it can affect a person greatly and there is so little known about it that up to now there is no known cause or cure for the illness.
Multiple sclerosis more commonly occurs in young adults that are around the ages of 20 to 40 and is more prevalent in women and in some races. It occurs in around 2 to 150 out of every 150,000 people. It was first defined in 1868 by acclaimed French neurologist Jean-Martin Charcot.
Although there are no known causes or cures, cases of it have been managed well, although it is quite difficult. Unlike most illnesses, multiple sclerosis is unusually broad since a many symptoms that are inherent to it are also inherent in many other illnesses. This makes it very difficult for doctors to diagnose if a person has MS, however, some tests have proven helpful in diagnosing this illness.

How the Urinary System Works
The urinary system is an important bodily system that helps the body get rid of waste called urea normally found in the blood. This waste is usually produced when the body breaks down foods that are rich in protein, such as: poultry, meat and certain types of vegetables. The urinary system also coordinates with other vital organs of the body, such as the intestines, lungs and skin, to maintain a chemical balance in the body.
The Kidneys
From the bloodstream, urea is carried to the kidneys. The kidneys are the bean-shaped organs of the body just about the size of the fist. Furthermore, they are located approximately two inches above the midline area of the body, under and behind the liver located in the upper abdomen, and behind the lower ribs.
These organs are responsible for filtering about one-quarter of blood, or about 750 to 1000 pints, sent from the heart daily. The kidneys are important in making sure that the blood is free of chemical wastes before circulating the rest of the body.

What is Andropause?
The Phenomenon of Andropause
Females have menopause, Andropause is the male counterpart of this aging phenomenon. Unlike menopause, however, only little is known about this condition in aging males. Both cases are caused by a significant drop in the hormone levels that extreme changes in the body are experienced once a male reaches a particular age range, mostly between 40 and 55.
Also known as male menopause, Andropause concerns the decline of male hormones. Among the scientific studies performed on this condition show greater risk for men to develop certain diseases like heart diseases and weakening of the bones. Since little is still known about Andropause, health experts are furthering their studies on the nuances of this condition. This starts by clarifying what Andropause really is since many refuse to categorize it as a clinical condition.
How Common Is This?
It cannot be said that Andropause is an entirely new phenomenon. It first became known in medical literature as far back as the 1940s. However, knowledge about andropause remains minimal until today and these concerns analyzing symptoms and diagnosis. One reason why earlier tests on Andropause proved successful is the lack of bio available testosterone to be used for these tests.

Premarin
Since hormones play a very important role in the body, it is important that they stay within a normal range. Women, in particular, experience hormonal changes more often compared to their male counterparts. Premarin is a useful drug that can help replace hormones if these are not produced properly. Find out about the indications, source and side effects.
About Premarin
Premarin is the brand name of the drug of the compound drug that primarily consists of conjugated estrogens. It is isolated from mare's urine or pregnant mare's urine, giving it its name. The product is made by Wyeth Pharmaceuticals and is available in IV, oral and topical form. Estrone, equilin and equilenin are the major forms of estrogen in the drug. These estrogens are usually referred to as CEE or conjugated equine estrogens, since the estrogen molecules are found with hydrophilic side-groups connected like sulfate.
The major molecule in Premarin is estrone sulfate. It is easily absorbed in the blood after women take the pills. The estrone sulfate is changed into estradiol, which is an active estrogen found in most women. It is not yet certain whether equilin and other estrogens considered foreign to the human body have effects that are highly different compared to human body estrogens such as estradiol.

Mesothelioma - What Causes it?
About Mesothelioma
Mesothelioma is a rare type of cancer; however it is becoming more prevalent in recent times. Averages of a little over 2,000 people are diagnosed with this type of cancer annually. But statistics show that this type of cancer affects men more than women. The reason for this data is traced to the cause of this type of cancer, which has to do with the type of work that many men do.
The common starting place for most cases of mesothelioma is the chest cavity. A fewer percentage of mesothelioma cases start at the abdomen. And even rarer is a case that begins at the heart.

What is Menopause and What are the Symptoms
Menopause is the time in a woman’s when menstruation ends. Menstruation ends because the woman’s body and her ovaries are producing less hormones. Women as they grow older, start to lose estrogen and progesterone. These hormones contribute with pregnancy.
Menopause predominantly happens with women ages 42 to 56. But the average is around 52. A woman could say that she started menopause when it was already a year since she had her last menstruation.
Before having menopause, women can already feel the build-up in the next few years. This is called the menopausal transition or the perimenopause. But many times, women would refer to the pre-menopausal stage and the menopausal period itself simply as menopause.
Menopause is a natural process the body undergoes as it ages. But induced or surgical menopause can also happen to a woman. In an induced menopause, the woman undergoes menopause suddenly and prematurely.

About Death and Dying
We all die. That is the reality of life, as harsh as this may sound to some people. The more we accept and understand death, the more we cherish our lives. At least, that’s how some people perceive life and death. It does make sense. We cannot stop death from happening, but there are ways we can live longer. Eating the right food, staying away from bad influences, and keeping yourself safe from the various dangers we encounter in this world we live in are just a few things that we can do to extend our lives.
Understanding death can help us prepare. Medically speaking, death comes in various types. But basically, we die when our brain dies. The heart might stop beating but can be restarted to pump blood again. But the death of the brain signals the end of life. You know that the brain controls basically everything that happens in your body. We talk, walk, dance, see, think, eat, and drink because of the brain. That’s why damaging the brain can greatly affect our lives. Our brain can be injured by receiving sudden trauma, bleeding, infections and diseases, or because the brain does not receive enough oxygen. Injuries can cause the brain to swell and since it is inside the skull, the swelling is being restricted causing pressure to build up which can damage the brain tissues. Having a long lapse of oxygen supply can also destroy brain cells and tissues resulting in a damaged brain, or worse, brain death.

What You Need to Know About Weight Loss
Everybody wants to lose weight. This is one fact that is supported by the countless weight loss programs on the market along with the numerous weight loss products, ranging from snack bars, powdered juices, shakes and even slimming soaps and lotions!
It really gets confusing nowadays to know which ones are for real and which ones are junk, especially when presented with all the information.
You Don’t Have To Practice Everything
It’s not really essential that you know about all the available diets on the market. In fact, many of them have conflicting principles. For instance, one might say that you need to eat several small meals throughout the day. Another suggests that you should only eat one big meal for the day and starve yourself until you start another day. Confusing isn’t it?
This proves that just because advertisements say so, doesn’t mean they’re right. You should get to know which information is the real deal and which ones are not.
