INTRODUCTION
It’s the twenty first century, people. If you want to get rid of your car, forget writing “4 Sale” on the windshield, forget the nickel ads, this is the age of the internet. eBay and other auction sites and classified ad sites have revolutionized the way people sell their cars, allowing dealers and buyers alike to connect with one another.
Selling your car on the web simply expands your market of potential buyers, simple as that. Someone looking to buy themselves a used Chevy is much more likely, in this day and age, to look on the web, to look at eBay, Craigslist and other sites than they are to just… walk up and down the street looking for cars with “For Sale” signs in the window! So if you’re ready to unload that old pickup or compact car, read on…

For a number of parents, the choice of where to send their children for an education is easy do to a lack of options. Many parents have limited time or funds and are unable to even consider sending their children anywhere other than the local public school.
On the other hand, the majority of parents do have the opportunity to consider all available options when it comes to their child’s education. If you are having a hard time making the decision to send your child to private school or public school, then you have come to the right place. This book is full of information to help you with making this all-important decision.
In order to select the school that is ideal for your child, you will need to way all of the options that you have available to you realistically. It is important to take into consideration the cost of the school, the amount of time must be invested by the parent, the social impact on your child as well as the specific needs of your child and family.
In the old days, when a child was ready to begin kindergarten, there was a pretty good chance that he or she attended the public school that was just around the corner, or a church school right down the road. For parents back then, deciding which school to send their son or daughter to was an easy task.
The decision is not so simple these days. Education today is more of a compelling and complex topic of discussion across the nation. Questions come up every day in newspapers, homes and political debates about teacher training, school quality, curriculum and accountability.

BENEFITS OF A HOME BASED GRANT WRITING BUSINESS
If you are considering a grant writing business then you obviously believe you have the skills and writing talents needed to succeed. It’s a great business for a number of reasons. First is the fact you can spend as much or as little time as you desire working the business. Second is the fact that you can work with a variety of organizations.
The third reason it is such a great business is because you can blend writing, research, technical skills, and creative talent each time you write a grant. Unlike straight business writing or straight creative writing, grant writing lets you combine a variety of writing styles which can make the jobs you accept interesting and challenging.
In the following sections, we will discuss the world of grant writing from home. You will learn about the skills you need, the types of grants you can choose to write, and how to apply for a grant. You will also learn how to develop a business plan and find customers who can use your services.
So let’s get started!
CONSIDERING A HOME BASED GRANT WRITING BUSINESS
Grant writers are popular people and for a good reason. They are able to use their writing magic and make money flow. At least that is how others seem to look at them at times. It’s because a skilled grant writer is worth his or her weight in gold.
There are lots of people who claim to be grant writers but it’s not something you just wake up and decide to be one day. There are plenty of people who have that impression, but it’s simply not true. In fact not all writers are qualified to be grant writers because it takes the right kind and mix of skills as shall be discussed in the following sections.

INTRODUCTION: DESTINATION – THE CITY OF LIGHTS
“Paris,” wrote author Henry James (1843-1916), “is the greatest temple every built to material joys and the lust of the eyes.” People arrive in Paris from all around the world. They come here for many reasons. The city is not merely a repository of museums. It is more than a pretty postcard city. It offers its visitors more than fine food and world-famous dining.
Paris is historic. There is the Champs-Élysées, the Louvre, the Tour Eiffel, the Sorbonne and the Jardin des Tuileries. There are museums and various architectural remnants of the royal and revolutionary past. The city is a cultural display inside and outside its many buildings and memorial structures.
Paris is a busy city with a vibrant life – day and night. There are the tourist hot spots of the Moulin Rouge and the Folies-Bergère. There are jazz clubs like the celebrated Caveau de la Huchette, dance clubs, bars, pubs and wine bars, busy shopping malls and cultural concerts. The Opéra Comique and the Opéra Garnier provide ballet and opera in historic structures. Churches and street corners alike can provide you with lively entertainment.
The city is elegant, it is lusty and it is a city of great depths. Honoré de Balzac (1799-1850) commented:
“Paris is a veritable ocean. Throw in a plumb line and you will never know the depth of it.”
Indeed, it would take months to explore all of Paris - enjoyable months, but a lengthy time none-the-less. Most people do not have this timeframe. They have a couple of days, a week or even 2 weeks.

INTRODUCTION TO THE DAYCARE BUSINESS
The daycare industry is a thriving one. In fact, this is one industry that the recent economic downturn has been very kind to. More stay at home moms have entered the workplace to help make ends meet, so more children have entered daycare than ever before. Running a daycare can be a smart career choice, since it’s a business that will always be in demand. In fact, in areas where there are few daycares, many have a waiting list for openings.
This doesn’t mean, however, that running a daycare is a snap, nor does it mean that you’ll be rolling in dough from this business. In fact, there are many hurdles to overcome in order to make a daycare business successful and profitable. You’ll have to learn ways to keep costs to a minimum while still providing all the expected services.
DEMAND FOR GOOD DAYCARE IS HIGH
Experts predict that the demand for daycare centers will continue to increase. This is fuelled by the fact that today’s mothers were likely in daycare themselves as children. Therefore, they may have very fond memories of the experience and feel comfortable leaving their children in daycare centers, so long as they are convinced that their children’s’ needs are being appropriately met.
Gone are the days when new moms left their children in the hands of Grandma while they were working. Today, it’s likely that Grandma is working, too. But, while today’s mom is comfortable with the daycare setting, she’s also better educated than moms from the past, so her expectations are high.

INTRODUCTION
We love our pets. In fact, studies show that about 63% of Americans have at least one pet. About 2/3 of pet owners have more than one pet, and 20% of pet owners have a whopping five or more pets. 48% of pet owners consider their pets members of the family.
There are more cats out there than dogs – but more families actually have dogs than cats. It seems, you see, with cat owners that one is never enough. And, while cats, dogs and fish remain the most popular pets, other species are gaining in popularity. For example, turtle ownership in the US has grown by 86% since 2001.
Americans spend lots of money on pets, too. In 2006, Americans spent more than $24.5 billion on veterinary expenses alone. There’s no shortage of products out there to take care of every possible imaginable pet situation. You’ll find gourmet foods, expensive toys, clothing and lots of gadgets for all our animal companions.
With our pets becoming such a part of our families, it’s no wonder that we’re anxious to get their odors under control. It can be frustrating to tame the smells of these stinkier family members. Whether it’s a smelly litter box or just the vague lingering scent of dog fur on the couch; it’s annoying for us and embarrassing when we have visitors.

INTRODUCTION
The SAT test is a rite of passage. Hoards of high school students take this well known test every year as a precursor to the college experience. This is the test that is known for being one of the deciding factors of whether students are accepted to the colleges of their choice, or not.
While a student's academic record and involvement in extracurricular activities has an influence on how he or she is perceived by colleges, the SAT test is a one time measurement of a student's abilities. The past academics and activities are taken from years of effort that lead up to the present but the SAT test is done in less than a day. This test is not so much about what a student has done but more about what they can do. It is your one chance to help college admissions offices answer a list of questions that they ask about every student.
Is this student able to handle the rigors of college? Does this student have the vocabulary that a college student will need to succeed? The reasoning skills? The ability to communicate effectively through writing? Is this student more or less capable that all the other applicants? These are all questions that the SAT test was designed to answer.
While one test may hardly seem capable of measuring the overall capabilities of any student, this is the standard of measurement that is applied. It gives college admissions offices the information that they need to help separate those students who have the usable skills and knowledge to apply to their future studies and those who may not be quite so ready to face the halls of higher learning. Suffice it to say, this is one of the best tools available for making this evaluation available today. More important than that, it is the one that is used. There is no getting around it.

INTRODUCTION
Foreclosure may be something you do not want to have anything to do with if you are the homeowner, but as an investor; it could be a sign of profit.
A foreclosure does not mean a property is in poor condition and is not cared for. It does not mean that the value of the property is less than what it would be if the home was being sold in a traditional marketplace. It does not mean you will have to spend a great deal or invest a lot of time.
What it does mean is that there is a lower price tag on this house because the lender wants to get rid of it quickly. If you are an investor, or hope to be one, there is no doubt that buying foreclosure properties could be the best investment that you make. The fact is, these are homes that have a sales sign on them, but the sticker price is simply lower.
However, not all foreclosures are the same. More so, not all properties that are foreclosures are worth your time and your money. Before you start investing in these types of homes, it is critical that you do your homework and prepare yourself for the options you have.
This book will provide you with some basic information about the foreclosure market as well as provide you with a look at some of the things you need to consider before you start investing.
Is foreclosure investing right for everyone? The answer to that question is no. This can be one of the best investments for many people, especially those looking for an easy way to build their investment portfolio in the real estate market. Nevertheless, to be a smart investor who turns a profit, there are several things you need to know. This book will guide you through that process.

Looking for scholarship money isn’t easy, no matter how good your grades are, no matter how hard you worked, what clubs you joined, it’s going to be tricky trying to get enough money from scholarships to pay for tuition, books, room and board, transportation and on and on.
Chances are, you’re not going to get your entire academic career paid for by one, or even a few scholarships, and some of your education is going to be coming out of your own pocket. However, you can significantly cut down on exactly how much you’ll be paying yourself just by knowing who to ask, how to ask, and what to do to obtain scholarship money.
What it comes down to is this one guiding principle: The people who hand out scholarships are giving you a college sponsorship, and they want to know that the person they’re investing in is a good investment. Show them that you have potential.
