Irish Crochet And How To Make It
Of all the different kinds of lace known as "Irish" that called "Irish Crochet" is the most durable, serviceable and popular. It is made in three distinct styles at the present time; one is slightly padded, one is heavily padded, while a third has no padding. The heavily padded lace is considered the most valuable and is well worth the extra time and trouble spent on it, as it is practically everlasting. Irish crochet has this advantage also over every other kind of hand-made lace, that it can be taken to pieces, altered into new shapes, as fashion dictates, and any motif that gets worn out can be replaced at will by a new one.
The best lace is always firmly and evenly worked, and it is fresh and clean when it comes from the worker's hands. Much of the lace offered for sale, some of which scarcely deserves the name of lace, has been washed and starched to give it an appearance of firmness which in itself it does not possess. It is very difficult for two workers to make motifs exactly alike from the same written directions. A slight difference in the size of the hook or in the tightness of the work would alter the size of the motif; while the tightening or loosening of a padding cord might alter the entire sweep of the leaflets. For this reason the directions for a sprig may be carefully followed by two workers, and yet the two may turn out quite different results. One worker will make a very common-place leaf, while the other, with more artistic feeling, may give to the leaf those subtle touches, by means of the cord, which make it a real work of art.
When a sprig shows signs of either getting saucer-shaped or of frilling, when it should lie flat, the worker must use her own discretion as to increasing or diminishing the number of stitches, in order to bring about the desired result. The aim of the worker should be to produce the most artistic work she is capable of; therefore if by altering a curve, or by adding a leaflet to any sprig, she would make a design more pleasing to herself, she should not for one moment hesitate to follow her artistic instinct. It is the power to do this, which makes Irish crochet so very fascinating. Now it is this very freedom, so fascinating to the worker, which creates such difficulties to a writer upon Irish crochet. Even with the same worker a design may work out with slight differences each time it is repeated if it is one which depends much upon the cord for its shaping. When this is so the fillings of bars must differ also in each case, or they will not lie flat between these most uncertain little sprigs, and to follow directions for a given number of bars composed of a given number of stitches, would be fatal to the beauty of the lace, as no two workers would space alike. In Ireland, where the lace is so extensively done, no directions are ever given for the background, because if minute directions for fillings could be written, they would be so extremely intricate that to attempt to follow them would drive most workers distracted. The easiest plan, and the one which we shall adopt, is to teach the general plan of each filling and leave the worker to practice it until she becomes familiar with it.

INTRODUCTION
Positive Thinking is a Bunch of Crap – and Crap Makes Great Fertilizer
“A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.”
Herm Albright
At some point in your life, you’ve probably heard about the power of positive thinking. Basically, this is a theory that contends if you believe good things will happen to you, there will be some sort of cataclysmic shift in the energies surrounding you which will actually cause good things to happen to you. For as many people who believe in the power of positive thinking, there are many more who believe it’s all a bunch of New Age pop psychology drivel or sugar-coated Peter Pan platitudes.
Here’s the kicker: they’re all right.
You see, positive thinking is a system of beliefs. So if you believe it doesn’t work- then, of course, it won’t work. And if you believe it does work...well, you get the idea. For non-believers, using positive thinking is like trying to get a job after high school. You need experience to get a job, but you need a job to get the experience. It can be difficult to know where you’re supposed to start. But just like any other process, the key to making positive thinking work for you is to start small. Plant seeds, if you will, and then learn how to tend and cultivate those seeds until you have a mental garden that bears a phenomenal crop, year after year. Anything is possible with positive thinking...even if you do believe it’s all a bunch of crap.

Selling Homes in the World of Real Estate: Introduction
In order to revive the nearly unprofitable real estate market it is important that more and more homes are staged. This is a simple concept that ensures that a particular house that is for sales find appeal with more and more buyers.
Apart from getting a large number of buyers so that the seller can strike a good bargain, it is also equally important for the seller that his house gets sold of quickly. It is important to increase the demand so that the market can get more lucrative.
This is the primary reason why real estate agents are fast hiring, or themselves turning into ‘staging professionals’. These professionals help in building homes that find maximum appeal to the seller in terms of their tastes and preferences.
And it is a fact that stages homes bring as much as 15 percent more revenue that those that are not. People are constantly looking for a house with more space. Many look at it as an investment that how much they will gain when they in turn sell it. Keeping all this in mind a professional stages houses.
Therefore, those people who want to sell their houses enlist the services of such staging professionals who, on being hired, help the owners to prepare their houses for sale.
They are specialized to so such a job. And indeed, the sellers see the difference in the demand for their property and the price that is coming in, before and after the staging professional has done his job.

Introduction
Even in these relatively early days of the 21st Century, it is clear that the Internet is going to play an ever more central role in everything that happens in the
modern world.
There are now over 6.6 billion people on this planet, and already, over 1 billion of them have access to the Internet!
And that figure is, of course, growing at an almost unbelievable rate each and every day.
So, it is sometimes a little difficult to take on board that only thirty years or so ago, the Internet literally did not exist!
There can be no clearer example of the speed at which our lives and the world around us are changing than the explosive growth of the World Wide Web.
Except, maybe, for one other aspect of technology whose growth has perhaps been even more dramatically explosive.
That is, the use of online video.
Whilst the net is around thirty years old, online video as a popular marketing tool is a mere babe in arms, having really only come to the fore in the last three to
four years!

Introduction
“IT’S AN INVASION! EVERYBODY RUN!”
A long time ago, Orson Welles struck fear into the heart of many people with those very words when he aired the radio program “War of the Worlds”. He had people believing that our world was being invaded by aliens and we were set for sure destruction.
In this book, however, the invasion is by a far more frightening invader than aliens. In this book, we’re talking about ---- TERMITES! Just as with “War of the Worlds”, termites can cause destruction, but the breakdown that termites can cause is far worse than anything any fictitional aliens can do because termites are real!
Termites are living, breathing, eating annoyances that every home or building owner should be worried about. They can make their way into your structure and cause devastation before you even realize its happening. That’s why, if you own property with a structure on it, you need to be diligent about termites.
You should know what they look like, what kind of damage they can inflict, and what you can do to keep them from taking over your home. I am a property owner, and, before writing this book, never really gave a second thought to termite infestation.
Now, I am constantly outside looking at the foundation of my home, in the basement inspecting the rafters, and in the yard looking for places where these little scavengers can live.
Many people are just like me – they don’t really think about termites unless they are buying a new home that requires a termite inspection. After the home is declared termite free, the home owner puts the thought of an infestation out of his or her mind and goes about life with no thought to a possible visit from these little creatures.

Adhesive information: At sometime in our daily lives, we all find something that we need an adhesive for, whether it be a repair or a hobby. Do you know which one to use for that particular project?
A large and growing number of adhesives is available on the market today. Some are specialized. A Quick Note About David Blaine
As mentioned above, David Blaine is not the originator of this illusion. He has made the illusion popular, once again, with his recent television special, "David Blaine: Street Magic." The unfortunate reality is, however, that we never really get to see Blaine performing the Balducci Levitation. We watch several times as Blaine performs it for others, but we never get to see it for ourselves.
For the television special, Blaine performed the Balducci levitation in front of several different groups of people, and the camera was there to catch their reaction. The method he used for this is the Balducci method, described below. While videotaping these various performances, the producers keyed in on the audience members with the most visual reaction. After the Balducci levitation, the producers of the show had these same people stand by for another taping of the illusion - this time the camera would shoot from behind the audience members to get a clear view of Blaine in action. The audience members were told that this second performance was to show them how magicians could use wires to levitate. And this is exactly what happened. A small harness and rig (just out of camera view) was set up and Blaine performed a standard wire-suspension.
What Blaine did was a camera trick - known as a post-production edit. The audience at home watched the second (wire suspension) levitation performance, with the audience reaction of the real levitation edited in. It was said, in the television special, that no strings or wires were used to perform Blaine's levitation. This is true, no wires or strings are required. Unfortunately, we never got to see Blaine's real levitation:
WE SAW A WIRE-SUSPENSION !

Why Internet Dating is Great!
Internet Dating has made meeting beautiful women much easier than it ever was. It is now a lot easier to make a good first impression or even get enough courage to actually start talking to a beautiful girl.
So, besides the reason mentioned above why is internet dating so great?
There are obviously other, more popular ways of meeting women. You can go to bars or clubs, speed dating, singles events, placing personal ads, even walk the streets looking for women to meet. But, internet dating beats all of them (at least for the average guy). Here is why
First of all, it is very cheap. You don’t need to dress up to sit in from of your computer, you don’t need to buy anything...that’s cheap.
It is also very fast, a lot faster than planning a day out. All you have to do is log on to the internet and send a greeting to the girl you want to talk to.
On top of all that, it is extremely simple to use and more importantly a lot of fun!
But the most important reasons that internet dating is king of all the different ways to meet women are...
A) Women are a lot more open to your “moves” on the internet then they are in person. There is nothing intimidating, uncomfortable or even scary to a woman about a bunch of typed text that you sent her.
