Introduction Having experimented with video marketing for the past few months I can say unequivocally and without reservation that online videos are, in short, really, really cool. ? I could truly kick myself for not pursuing video marketing years earlier like say late 2005 when Youtube launched. In the 6 years that I have been messing around online I have never heard of such an immediate and low cost form of traffic generation. I honestly didn’t think such a means of traffic generation could even exist. In recent months I have found myself developing something of an addiction to Internet video. I now spend more time watching things on my computer screen than on my television screen. I’ve actually come to prefer browsing Youtube than watching plain old television simply because there’s much more to choose from online and I can watch the things I find whenever I feel like or save them for later if I’m so inclined. Recent research reveals a substantial decline in television viewership and a corresponding increase in Internet usage. People are, according to the research, spending more time on the computer and less time watching television much to the dismay of television networks While people do all sorts of things online including chatting, surfing, community interaction, et cetera, one major reason cited for the increase in Internet usage is the growing interest in online video. Like me, many Internet users have developed a passion for online video and consequently spend more time watching things on their computer than on television. This newfound passion for and interest in online video ultimately translates into big bucks for skilled marketers. The really, really great news is that you can make money with online video even if you are a bit lazy (like me) and are working with the most meager of budgets.

Most of it is pretty quick to implement and shows results almost immediately, it just takes a little bit of thought. What’s it all about? Why are you writing this? Ok first up, I'd like to give you some insight into what the content of this course is all about. Call this an introduction section. The real content will begin right after this. Let's start with the aim of the course. When I picked up my laptop and began planning this yesterday, I decided that I wanted to talk to online marketers specifically about the lessons I've learned over the course of my career. I'm not talking totally random pieces of information dotted about everywhere, but there's not a real 'system' for you to follow either. Each section is individually crafted, meaning you can put each chapter into action right away, the moment you finish reading it. So what's important about the lessons I learned about business? To give you an idea where I'm coming from here, and just how important these lessons have been in transforming me from complete business failure to complete business success in a short period of time, here are two examples of the results of these techniques. Alright, first example. Just picking a random method out of the following text, I can tell you that when I began in online marketing, for a good two years, the best I could come up with was about $10,000 of sales per year. That's pretty low of course and probably isn't going to fulfil anyone's hopes and dreams for the future. It sure didn't fulfil mine. So I set about learning. Now this one method that I picked up totally by accident took that $10,000 over the course of several years, and turned it into $250,000 per year in sales. How long did it take to make the transformation? Seven months. Seven months of relaxed, almost lazy work where the amount of effort I had to expend was ten times less than I used to reach the $10,000 per year mark. Or how about the next example, where I can safely say at the beginning of my career, I was scammed over and over again into buying crappy products. Not because I was stupid, but because I was ignorant. I didn't understand the basis of marketing and how it worked. The psychology of marketing. That's all changed now of course, and I can safely say I haven't bought a product I've been disappointed in for several years, simply because of the decision making process I go through pre-purchase. That might not sound particularly amazing on paper, but do you know how annoying it is when you just want some straight answers to your questions, and every product you buy falls short? Of course you do, you're in online marketing. It's not about saving a couple of thousand dollars every year from poor products, it's more about your precious time. I don't care much if someone sells me a shoddy product and it costs me $500. They won't be in business long. What I do care about is someone who sells me a shoddy $500 product that takes a year of my time to figure out that they're talking out of their rear ends and their stuff doesn't work. That's far more damaging than any money anyone could ever take from me. That's why I hold this method in such high regard. You can find this one in the 'Understanding the psychology of marketing' chapters. So that's how the course is going to shape up. All from my previous experiences, all of which you can put into action straight away and see immediate results, rather than have to waste your time testing for years, only to find it doesn't work.

It’s an acronym for Search Engine Optimization. So that’s the S, E, and O of SEO. But what SEO really means is making money on the Internet. When talking about SEO we need to look at the big picture or the whole pie. There is a multi million dollar industry of SEO “professionals”. Getting people into search engines or getting them higher up in the listings on a search engine is a business all in it’s own. If the main idea behind getting traffic wasn’t getting money, there would be no such industry. SEO is nothing more than a set of tricks and tips and sometimes common sense that when used in the right combination or alone will help you out in the Search Engines. You may learn some new terms here or not know the terms I am using but I will explain and later on there is a whole section on it. A quick way to explain how you see results on a search engine results page or SERP is as follows. Search engines are a lot like teenagers. Teenagers “rank” people based on how popular they are and how much people pay attention to them. Search engines do the same thing. There are a million search engines but Google is king and that is what we are going to be working with today. Everything I am going to discuss here can be used for and with any search engine since each and every search engine is based on the same principles. In order to understand Indexing, Linkbuilding and everything else that is SEO you’ll first have to understand how a search engine works. It’s pretty simple but when you are working with billions, yes billions with a B. There are billions of websites and pages and it can get pretty complicated. I’ll keep it simple. Let’s get started, shall we? When you search for something on Google (again, I am going to say Google but I really mean any search engine) you type it into “the box”, by the way this “box” is known as the “Search Bar”. The 3rd most visited website on the planet, millions of people watching hundreds of millions of videos every single day, and – more importantly for us – a potential goldmine. Killer Video Conversions will show you how to harness the power of YouTube (and other video sharing sites), and drive masses of highly targeted traffic to your website. ...and that's been a long-time problem for many marketers. It isn't enough to stick a video up, sit back, and wait for the traffic to come flooding in. So, what does it take to make your viewer stop in his tracks and take action? On first glance, one might view Squidoo as just another social networking website. They might alternately view it as just another blogging community. In fact, Squidoo is a combination of blogging and social networking, taken to an ultimate level. Squidoo is more of a social effort than a social networking site, wherein the effort is to easily find the things on the Internet that matter to specific groups of people. Squidoo essentially gives you a place on the web to direct other people to the places that you want them to visit. You build your page based on what matters to you – the things that you know about and want to teach others, or for things that you want to sell, such as your products, or affiliate products. Through Squidoo, you can not only get more traffic to your own blog or web pages, and make more sales, but you have the added bonus of being able to earn half of the revenue that is earned by the creators of Squidoo from your page. You can elect to have that money sent to you, or sent directly to your favorite charity. Squidoo, all summed up, becomes the ultimate ‘word-of-mouth’ tool on the Internet today. Users have found a real community exists at Squidoo, and they have also found that they get increased traffic to their other sites, and that they ultimately make more sales – and you can too, if you know what you are doing. At Squidoo, you can create a lens, which will be covered in more detail later. Each lens essentially consists of one page, and that one page has links to more pages – either to your site, to other lenses, or to other web pages altogether – and you control where your Squidoo lens page links to. You may already be thinking ‘Oh no, not another profile page that I have to keep updated and stay on top of and keep up with in general…I don’t have time for this!” In today’s online world, it seems that we each have five hundred different ‘social networking’ sites to keep up with, keep updated, and more. It becomes quite time consuming, and very overwhelming. Obviously, you don’t have time for another site that you have to keep up with. Relax. Squidoo isn’t what you are thinking, and in fact, once you’ve got your Squidoo Lens set up, you really don’t have to mess with it much at all. It’s very simple to set up and maintain. You are looking at about an hour or two of setup, and maintenance, if you do it right, probably takes less than fifteen minutes per week, if that. Some people never have to ‘maintain’ their Squidoo Lenses at all.

She is a wife, a mother, a homemaker, a chauffeur, and an employee or boss. Too bad a day does not have 48 hours. Then, maybe a hard-working mom might actually have time to get things done and maybe have a few minutes left over to relax. Unfortunately, you and I know, a day never has enough time to complete all of our jobs, have a little time to ourselves, and be the kind of mom we wanted to be when we brought that little bundle of joy home from the hospital. The day care provider or school teachers see the children more than you and I do. Then, if you are like me, you feel guilty for not being there for your kids or having the energy to be a "fun" mom when you are together. You wish you could be a stay-at-home mom, but the family budget counts on your paycheck to make ends meet financially. You have no choice but to work outside the home, or do you? I have been where you are today. A single mom of two, I have had two part-time jobs working an occasional 12-hour day, and come home too exhausted to be a good mom to my children. Still barely keeping ahead of the bills, I am missing out on watching my children grow up. My kids need me, and I need them. Then, one day a friend suggested working from home. At the time I thought it would never work. After all, he is a computer tech with probably more knowledge in his little finger than I have in my head. I doubt it will really amount to anything, but I am desperate. So, I give it a try. Two years later, I am a work-at-home mom full-time. I have one job I really enjoy.
