Research, research, research!
That’s what you’ll hear a thousand times from marketers before you sell anything online.
At first, you might think “that’s a great mantra, but is it even possible? Do marketers actually do all of this research themselves? Or are they basically selling IM products that tell other people to do that?”
The answer to this question is a mixed bag. Some marketers certainly just tell people to do research and perform no research on their own; however, others do perform research, get results, and recommend it for that reason.
John Reese, for instance, is one example of a marketer who frequently recommends research, testing, and tracking. He won’t talk long before he mentions one of those topics; and there’s a good reason for it: they’ve served him well. And without them, he wouldn’t be in the position he is.
Based on my own experience, I would argue that research, if used effectively, can not only prevent common mistakes, but can also significantly improve your chances of making more from each product launch.Other Details
