Why Drive Traffic With Article Marketing?

In today’s internet marketing environment, driving massive traffic to your web site is critical to your success online. No matter how well your web site converts, and no matter how strong of a backend you have, if you are not driving strong levels of traffic, you are not going to be able to make as much money online as if you had 10 or 20 or 100 times the traffic you do right now.

One of the big problems online today with targeted traffic is that the consumers, the surfers, are getting more and more savvy – which is fine for them – and actually good for you, once you learn how easy it is to develop targeted traffic with articles online. You see, when you run advertising, or buy advertising, or when you buy PPC traffic, you are getting an unqualified visitor. Sure, it is better than a general visitor – but when someone has read a 3 – line ad about you in a sponsored search listing, do they really have any idea what they are going to find when they get to your web site? They go to your site, find it is not what they are looking for, hit the ‘back’ button on their web browser – you have been charged $1 or whatever – and they still haven’t found what they wanted.

Well, where does article marketing come in?

Article marketing drives traffic in two different ways.

1) Article marketing drives traffic when the article directories (many of which are highly ranked by google) publish your article – if you target the keywords effectively, your article, containing a direct link to your web site – can easily show up in the top ten results in the google and yahoo search engines in just weeks – something that is almost impossible for you to do on your own.

The traffic that you get through these links tends to be very highly responsive and targeted, as they have not only searched for your keyword in a search engine, and clicked on a link (the one to your article) but have also read your article and want more information from you. There is possibly no better traffic online today.

2) The second way that you drive traffic with article marketing is when you follow a strategy of submitting to the right article directories and having the article directories link to your optimized web pages via your article, you can quickly build up the necessary backlinks to have google and yahoo rank you highly for many keywords – pushing your targeted web pages to top ten rankings in google and yahoo for your optimized keywords.
